15+ years of show fliers. Note to self and younger bands: put the year on your flyers...I had to dig to figure out most of these; pretty positive the oldest one is from CT/DeDe/Jake’s high school days circa 2004. Gonna highlight a few of my (Jimmy’s) favorites. 2. Snug Harbor 7/4/15 - Squirt party hosted by the Permanent Vacation crew. Amazing event, we got to play on a bill with Gangsta Boo, and I met my wife at this show. 3. Visulite Theatre 1/19/15 - it’s widely known the members of HG are the biggest @awilhelmscreamofficial fans in Charlotte. Super cool meeting and playing with these dudes, and Anti-Flag were killer as well. 4. Neighborhood Theatre NYE 2013/2014 - again with the Permanent Vacation crew events. This was peak NT and two of the coolest and biggest shows we’ve ever played. 5. Snug Harbor Residency July 2014 - One Another/HG double doses - couldn’t fit all the fliers on one frame but we got to play five killer shows every Wednesday in July with all of CLTs best. 6. Recess Fest July 2012 - Zach and Casey outdid themselves on this one. So many incredible bands. Fairly certain this is the only event Columns/HG/1A have ever played together. DeDe wanted to quit every band. 7. Black Cat Boone 7/13/07 - Powerstance and HG definitely didn’t exist, but this show was super wild with MP/Control/Columns in one tiny room. 8. Snug Harbor 9/5/14 - the first time we played with DP, it was in a living room with Sinners and Saints and they blew us away. Pretty sure this one at Snug sold out. One of the best live bands ever. RIP. 9. Tremont Music Hall 3/27/2013 - one of my favorite 1A shows besides the time they destroyed the foundation of the Moonhouse in Columbia with Yardwork. 10. Snug Harbor various dates - Had to mention this bill because I think we’ve played this exact lineup about six times and it’s always a hell of a show. Super stoked on this 70s model Ludwig SupraPhonic I just restored. A must have for every studio, and we finally got one. Can’t quite place the exact model year, but I believe it’s 77-78. First launched by Ludwig in 1958, the “Super Ludwig” became “SupraPhonic” in 1963 and has been produced since. All original parts except for the bottom rim which I replaced due to a very small crack. This thing is loud and has that awesome vintage metal drum sound and a really nice crack on rim shots. First time playing a new snare in a while, this one has potential to replace the Tama SLP bubinga that I’ve been using since the start of the Rip Currents sessions.
