Convincing my bosses to give me time off was a lot more difficult than I anticipated, but it’s going to be nice to have a chance to catch up with everyone. Other than that I think we’ll all have a very good time and hopefully it’ll be the start to us all seeing each other more often.

It really isn’t all that great. There were a few screw ups including one where I thought I was asking where a diner was and proceeded to ask where a funeral home was. I’m not sure how I managed that.

Yeah.. And I have no idea. I’ve never been, but the idea that every single person up there is overly nice just doesn’t sit right with me. Sebastian is, yeah. At least he is when it comes to his cooking.. Neither is mine. At least, it’s not as good as it was when I was a teenager but I think i could pass if need be.

Perhaps you are right and they are all asshole. I don’t know because if they are, they were putting on a good show for me. My French is at least better than my German. That trip was just terrible.

Couldn’t tell you. You know how some people just click and others don’t? That’s how he is. Just be polite, don’t say anything too offensive and I’m sure you two will manage to be civil. It’s just a week, after all. 

Well I am still pleased to know you would at least feign the idea of considering it. That won’t be necessary though as I do greatly enjoy your food.

I’m trying not to, honestly. Like I said, I’m not wanting to be rude or cause problems.

I’m sorry. Yeah, I’ve heard as much. It’s an Ivy League, right? So I’d think there would be plenty of brilliant people all over the place. It was probably because you were a tourist. I have this idea that the nice rumors are all a trick to hide the fact that they’re all actually huge assholes. Um, ooh– That’s a hard one. The south of France, probably. I’m actually pretty fluent in French by American standards, but I’d like to try it out on actual French people. Not to mention the sights and the food.

It’s fine. It is an Ivy League so yes, makes sense for those sort of people to be there. Oh? Are you trying to tell me that the citizens of Canada are actually assholes? I don’t know if I can believe that. France? That’s a nice choice, great place. Sebastian is of French origins isn’t he? My French is not at its peak, that I can admit.

That’s.. Really? Never? Columbia is a great school. I almost applied there, but I ended up at NYU. Huh. Are all Canadians really as nice as the rumors say? And I’m not sure sitting through a match ..game? I don’t know. Whatever it’s called, I couldn’t bring myself to watch the whole thing. 

I’ve had friends, but none that could equate to home. Columbia was amazing. There were so many brilliant people there. They were nice, but I don’t know if that’s a constant thing or if it was simply because I was a tourist in the area. It’s not for everyone, but I liked it. If you could travel, where would you go first?
