“You seem like you’re drunk enough for the both of us.”
Counting Stars || Jeremiel & Open
He had been back only a few days and he was already regretting it. It was going to be much harder than he thought and there were only two people that kept him here, though his wolf longed to hide in the woods. Deep in the thickest part where he would be lost to everything, and everyone, around him. He hadn’t seen Hunter yet, which was a good thing. He didn’t know how he would react and it probably end up something like it did with Ari. He was sure his pup hated him if he found out he told his lover to keep him. He paced in his backyard turning in the direction of the person who was on his property, the scent giving them away. “Can you not read the sign that says no trespassing?” He growled.Â
Hunter hadn’t believed it... he couldn't. When Ari told him that his master, Jeremial Boese, the one man, the one wolf he’d just known would always want him, had always been considered family, had more or less said that he didn’t ant him anymore, it had gone one ear and out the other. After the weeks he’d spent with the Greek wolf, he’d certainly learned to trust him in pretty much everything... but this. He just couldn't. With a back pack filled with the clothes and toiletries he’d had at Ari’s, he made his way back to his home, only to see his master, after all this time, standing on the porch... looking as broken as Ari had said he was. “Last I checked, this was my house,” he snapped back, tilting his head to the side in confusion.
"You better have a damn good reason for disturbing me."
"It’s the same thing." He muttered, running a hand back through his hair as he laid on his back. He rose an eyebrow at the boys words before sighing and shaking his head. "No but if Cassie comes home she’ll kick you out of her spot." He yawned. "Why does it matter if Ari is working? I thought that Thor look alike was your master-Jeremy isn’t it?"
“It’s totally not. If I was in your bed, I’d be under the covers big spooning you,” he smirked, baby glue eyes shifting over to the blond playfully to gauge his response. As fun as it was to push Alex’s buttons, even Hunter knew he had to cater to his audience, and the last thing he wanted was a punch to the face. “I think I can handle your slave Alex. Don’t worry about  me. And it matters because Jere left town for... a while. And I’m living with Ari, so when he’s not around, I feel kind of... antsy.”
"Something tells me you swing for other time. Unfortunately for you, if I did think you were some sort of meal, I’d actually eat you." He smirked at the younger wolf, humored by the suggestive dialogue.
"That wolf intuition is right. I do," he admitted with a casual shrug, though every muscle in his body was tense. This was a new wolf, he hadn't met him before. "I'm assuming that 'if' means you know I'm not," he let out a sigh, relaxing just a bit more. "It's actually for the best. Wouldn't want to bite off more than you could chew."
Alexander had heard in the early afternoon that Hunters master had left the city. So when he had finished work he headed for the Chateau, easily finding his old cell. Raising an eyebrow he snorted and shook his head. “Another one bites the dust huh Hunter? Damn you go through those men faster than I go through slaves.”
He rolled his eyes at Alex's comment, leaning against the back wall of his cell as he watched the vampire. "What can I say? I haven't found a master yet you can handle me for long," he quipped back, "You should know. You were my first." He joked about his situation, but the truth of the matter was that it was difficult for him, feeling abandoned.
Yah sure you are, keep saying that.
Listen, I survived just the other dozen times I've been sent here, I think I can handle this one. I've just got to get over the smell again.
"Like what?" Her brows raised, "A slave?"
Hunter cocked a brow at the wolf. "Like I'm some sort of meal."
"Don't look at me like that. I'm fine."
Ben shook his head. “No I mean my house, new one. Bryce is back at the Chateau, Cynthia with Luke, which means the couch is free and so is the guestroom.” Ben explained. A few things had changed since his two weeks on the cross… one being that he would let other people into his house depending who they were. He had no intention of sleeping with Hunter, it was really because he liked the boy, that he offered him to spend his first night with someone he knew he’d be safe with. “So yeah, I’ve got room. You’ll get a bedroom and bathroom all to yourself. All I ask is that you follow my 2.5 rules.”
A hint of a smile tugged at the corner of the pup's lips. It was always nerve wracking, sitting in the Chateau, not knowing who would rent you, where you'd be spending your next night, so the fact that Ben was offering to be that cushion for him, actually meant something. Walking to the bars of his cage, he nodded, "Okay, I'm in," he said, that hint of a smile slowly widening into an honest grin. "What... rules am I going to have to follow?"
"Neither am I."
"I have a guestroom if you drop the 'I'm about to blame you for everything' face.”
He inwardly winced at Ben's offer. "You mean your loft? I heard it's gotten crowded since... you know," he pointed out. He hated that he was being invited to Ben's loft like the other slaves he either felt sorry for or felt protective over. Hunter had always thought he'd been above that, that he'd be able to take care of himself. But... the offer was too good to pass up. "You sure you've got room for one more?"

"Really not in the mood, Ben."
"You better have a damn good reason for disturbing me."
"First of all, I'm not in your bed, I'm on your bed," he pointed out, deciding that was a very distinct difference." He pointed out, taking in a deep breath. "Second of all... I don't really know. Ari is at work and I didn't really have anywhere else to go. You're not going to kick me out, are you?"
Okay, livid, but I’m trying my best to hide it. Damn whatever guy gets to have you’s a lucky one. No worries, I keep my hands to myselff. So, where shall we go?
LIvid? Why are you livid? What did your master do? Or should I be asking who did he do? I know right? Jeremiel's got really good taste. [winks] I don't know. Honestly I don't even think I have a curfew right now.
The Two of Us || Hunter & Ari
Managing a half smile, Ari looked in Hunter’s direction. “I’m sure they would have been fine. You can do that tomorrow if you want. I just thought I’d pick something up for us.” In truth, he wasn’t all that hungry. He still had such a bad feeling about Jeremiel leaving like he did, knowing it couldn’t have been for any good reason, but life went on and there was nothing either of them could do about it. “I appreciate that, but you know, I meant what I told you a million times already. You don’t have to do house work. I know this isn’t home for you but please think of it as such, or at least a second home that you can make yourself just as comfortable in.” He pulled out a random container out of one of the bags, opening it to see it was the one full of chicken strips and got one out, making himself eat. “It’s one thing if you want to do it. I won’t stop you but you don’t need to feel obligated to do it.” The large wolf walked up to the fridge, pulling out a beer. “Want anything to drink while I’m right here?”
Honestly, Ari wasn't the only one with a bad taste in his mouth about Jeremiel. Ever since he'd known his master, Jeremiel had never really made any big decisions without running them by Hunter first. While Hunter never got the impression his master was asking for advice or permission, he always at least felt clued in, like his master cared enough to keep him informed. This was different, not even Ari knew what was happening, which actually concerned him. Still, at this point all he could really do was focus on the present, on what he knew, who he knew, and right now Ari was more or less his master. "I know, it's just... awkward," he admitted. "You know it is, I'm not technically yours, so it just kind of feels fucked up to expect you to take care of me no question's asked," he offered a shrug as he watched Ari open the box of chicken strips, and suddenly Hunter's stomach began to growl. Fuck he was hungrier than he though. Hopping up to sit on the counter next to the bag, he opened a box of fries up and popped on in his mouth, all the while watching his interim maser. "I'll take a water," he sill remembered Jere's rule about not drinking unless he was present. "By the way... thanks Ari."
