Letting yourself accept artificial intelligence just gives this degenerative, destructive monster more of a platform to thrive - and unfortunately means you are paving a way for a very dangerous machine.

So, TELL ME if I fall for it. TELL YOUR FRIENDS if something they share is AI. TELL RANDOS - they might become your friends! TELL EVERYONE - don't let AI slip past your barriers, don't let it take your joy in making art in any medium.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: Do not let it rob from real creators.

i truly think us americans miss out on so much both culturally and in terms of not being so extremely weird about other people's bodies by not including shared bath houses in our customs and infrastructure.

like maybe we could be a little bit more normal about nudity if we weren't socialized to sexualize it 110% of the time, and instead normalized naked bodies to the point where it's totally chill to just be nude around friends and even strangers because nudity is thought to be more neutral than sexual in the context of communal spaces.

ex: ngl skinny dipping with a bunch of my friends in a pool was one of the most freeing bonding experiences i've ever had. it was awesome. we all got naked and swam around and nobody was weird about any other person's bodies. i maybe joked about how my pubic hair looked like i still had undies on under the water and we all laughed because bodies can be funny and silly and unsexual and that's totally fine.

anyway, i once read a foreign gentleman say americans don't see our grandmas naked often enough and that it's one of our many cultural problems and i understand what he meant by that. is what i mean ig.

I haven't been posting much of practice stuff lately because i suddenly decided to actually get back to traditional and life drawing to walk out of my comfort zone a bit. And it has been walking out of my comfort zone A Lot XD so i didn't have much to post cos everything has been a mess lol. I haven't been drawing traditionally for a long time and hoo boi, and i haven't been drawing from life in like approximately million years, and hooooo boooooi.

But, a month and something has passed and.

Above is some stuff I am ok showing, still very far from were I would want to get, but i finally feel it's not as intimidating. I am making myself home in the nearby cafe, getting ruined on coffee and drawing customers, which is a lot of stepping out of a lot of comfort zones, but it's been a super pleasant experience.

And I'm pretty happy with how it's going considering the first cafe visit resulted in a super wonky stressed out this:

i knew going into it that it framed humbert humbert as a bad person, but i expected there to be some subtlety to it, y'know? i expected the narrative to expertly trick you into sympathizing with him before reminding you he's terrible. and then what i got is a book where humbert himself can't go two paragraphs without reminding us he's attracted to little girls and lolita doesn't want to be with him. it's literally not even subtext. zero reading-between-the-lines required. i already suspected most people talking about lolita hadn't read the book, but now i am very certain most people talking about lolita haven't read the book

There are so many people that are pro disability rights until they find out disabilities can be gross sometimes. It's so wild seeing the same people advocating for more mental health talk losing their shit over a depressed person not brushing their teeth or cleaning their spaces, or people who totally support physically disabled people until they find out I once pissed in a cup because I was in too much agony to get out of my bed, or that sometimes cups and food sit in my room longer than they should because I physically can't get up to put them away. Disabled people sometimes have incontinence, disabled people sometimes have bad hygiene, and still deserve to be supported. It's so fucking performative and it pisses me off. Even other disabled people act like this. Shaming people for stuff they can't control doesn't help anyone, just makes you an insufferable person.
