Tabitha looked over at him with a grin. She wasn’t drink, no, but it was on her list of things to do before she died — drive drunk. She wanted to say she’d done everything. What was the point of living if you weren’t living, right? She never met anyone with a car willing to fork over the keys while she was drunk, however.
She wrinkled her nose, pulling into a parking space just in front of the pub. It might have been a bit low class for a man with a Porsche, but at least that meant he could afford more booze than anyone else. She shrugged as she climbed out of the car. “I owe money to the government, basically. Too much. Not allowed to do a lot. Not really like I’d like to anyway. I don’t want to own anything here.” She fingered the keys for a second longer, looking down at them before she tossed them back to him. “All right, best pub in this part of London, yeah? Follow along.”
She made a movement with her hand as she walked in and a few regular customers, along with a few of the staff, greeted her as if she visited the place every day. It had been nearly a week since she’d been in the pub, then two or three before that. She found a seat at a stool, however, and a man that had participated in her Friday night endeavours alongside her asked for their drinks. She smirked, saying just a pint would be fine, then looked to Hunter. It was peculiar, how several people walked around the city with bruised eyes and cut lips and no one seemed to notice.
"What the heck? how is that even legal? Just because you owe them money, they stop you from getting a driver's license.. Those dickheads. What if you needed your license to get to work so you can pay them back? Fucking government assholes." It was safe to say that Hunter was perplexed, at the least. shaking his head, he followed her into the pub. "Why wouldn't you wanna own anything here? By your accent, I'm guessing you've lived her for age- oh never mind, I'm sorry, I'm asking so many questions tonight, I dunno why, probably because I'm in a bad mood... Just make that another of what she's getting, thanks." He said nodding towards the general direction of Tabitha.
The moment the cup touched the counter top, he downed a large portion of it. "Tabitha, let me just put this simply, if we don't get drunk, we're gonna run out of things to say and we'll get bored out of our minds because let's face it, I'm not really good at talking."
"And I mean that in the least assholish way possible, by the way."
