It’s often amusing to hear others describe travel with the ideal of luxury. Anyone who travels for business becomes quickly tired of how much a hassle it is. Though it was nice to be somewhere vaguely familiar, this time around. I can say I’ve never been Stateside, but I’ve been all across Europe and Asia for work. Oh travelling and luxury only goes hand in hand when it comes to honeymoons or backpacking. And the fact that it doesn't make you feel like you have to go back to the motherlands. Ah, you've been to London before so I guess you weren't some wide-eyed tourist with a map. I've been to the States once or twice. Nothing special really, Europe is much more interesting. Oh, which parts of Asia are your favourite. I still got to say India is the best one for me. Double bitte! It helps that I own the place. Pleasure to meet you too Daina. Well, to be honest, I was kinda worried you’d come back missing one kidney or something or we’d get a call you were kidnapped… hadn’t thought about amputation at all. Is that a thing they do in Brazil? I heard about that referee they beheaded, but since you were in business meetings and not soccer games, I hadn’t considered the option to be a plausible one.

Do people really think I hired a bunch of clowns to protect me during my trip across Europe? I hired people, men and women, who are skilled in combat and guns. I am pretty sure I'll be safe with them around me 24/7. Beheading was one of the options Aria considered. I still don't understand why she will stare at me during Skype calls when I am obviously still intact. 

You obviously didn't use the old types which are in green or red tubs. They can poke your eyes out if you slobber your entire head with the entire tub, I've tried. First-hand experience. Who said I wasn't willing to sacrifice business associates for you dignity? 

Hhhmmm, he did seem a tad off when he came to see me the other day. I couldn't sniff it out off him unfortunately. Okay, good, now I know he'll be in good hands if you go with him. A month? That's too long, ginger. Three weeks tops. Or even better, get him back on English soil as soon as he's able to tear away from those graves.

All over. I just did a stint in my mother country, Germany. I think working any length of time that consistently cuts off the ability to enjoy any prospective time off warrants those three things. A beer would be lovely, actually, danke.

Oh. You know he mentioned it to me but never told me what he's going to do in Dublin. Might be visiting his parents' graves. Also make sure he doesn't bully Campbell again? Poor guy has gone through so much crap. Yeah, okay. How long do you need?

Well,

I’ve worked obscenely hard over the past month. Between moving in, adjusting to life in London, actual jobs and small maintenance projects I believe it’s thoroughly time to unwind and enjoy myself. I haven’t had the chance to properly let myself go in a long, long while.

I am, wholly, overdue.

You and I both have been in the same boat. Where did you move from, if I may ask? I just came back from a month long business trip. I think working my arse off overseas almost every day of the month in different countries grant me drinks, music and entertainment. You want a beer?

Aw, I’m so heartened by the amount of faith you have in me. And also disappointed you didn’t yell booyah in the middle of a meeting, Toby. I expected better from you. See, next time you take me along and I’ll even do it for you; that way, you can just explain to all those stuffy old men that I’m not exactly right in the head, but you keep me around because I’m cute. Sort of why people keep guinea pigs.

So now that you’re back, does that mean I could ask for some time off?

I don't think I can survive another long trip without some sunshine in my life and the fact that my wife called me every single day, twice, to check if I am alive and not amputated or handicapped. And... you do know that in Brazil they keep guinea pigs because they're a delicacy right?

A bunch of middle-aged men talking only in euros and what not, sometimes I feel like shouting "BOOYAH!" in the middle of meetings just to you know, shake things up a teeny bit. But nope, didn't happened. I have to be a good boy. Glad you did the same thing too. I was half expecting Aria to call me in the middle of the trip to tell me you left my company in the ruins. Really glad it didn't come to that.

    I’m actually feeling pretty good, when I think about it. I’m out of the hospital and back in the comfort of my home. I don’t even feel much of the pain from my ribs anymore, and that’s a plus. It’ll be nice to just…relax. Maybe even work from home.

Oh you'd be surprised at how this city has the ability to annoy me even when I am my own parking space in my own estate. But it's home to my family and... family is where I am home. So, it's the best place to be. 

My trip? Yeah it was good, if you mean parading around Europe, expanding the business and stressing out in hotel rooms before meetings. I'm Tobias... or you can just call me Toby. You are?

I haven’t gotten arrested yet, I am taking care of Harold well enough, I helped clean up the house a bit and I didn’t disappear once. Mostly because Meg might have told me I wasn’t allowed to—and I listened. She can be very convincing when she wants to be, actually. 

I— It’s good to see you’re back, though. You’re back home safe and sound and you aren’t seeing me when I am in trouble for once. That’s a good start, isn’t it? I think so, at least. 

…I did a job as well. I’m…tired from it, though. I might need a little vacation of sorts away for a bit. Nothing far away, though. Just back to Dublin. I have to clear it with Meg first or she might kill me..

Aria warned me of you giving me a full length report on how you've been when I return from my trip. It's good that you're not getting into trouble with the authorities. Meg is very convincing other than my wife, so I'm glad you listened to her. Also why did you think I actually hired her huh? Girl is good. 

It is. I missed home terribly although I could use a cleaner air and a less chaotic city. Also, it's almost summer but why the hell is it still bloody cold?! God damn England. 

What kind of job did you do that got you so bored? Well yeah, vacation seems perfect if you're starting to feel things stifling. You're going with Meg?

Let me tell you one thing, no matter how foul Heathrow Airport can be and how London tends to get on my nerves every single time without fail, there is no place like home. How are you London folks? "Okay is this thing on?" Aria muttered to herself, fixing the position of the camera. She squinted at it for a moment before hearing the speakers crackle and the image of Toby pops up on screen. 

"Hi!" It sounded more like a high-pitched squeak as she waved at him.

"Is that blue dye on your hair?!"

The wifi at the hotel was rather fast, much to Toby's surprise. He settled his silver laptop on the study desk of his suite, adjusting the way he seats on the chair as it dialled. He flashed an instant grin as he heard Aria's muttering and shuffling before her grin and teal eyes filled the screen. 

"Hey. Someone's happy to see me."

"Erm...." Toby ran his fingers through his streaked hair as he shrugged. "I think I got carried away last night." He made a face before grinning at his wife again. "It makes me look cool right?!"

Me too. Jon, wishing doesn't change anything, Focus on the present, the future. That's more important. It's easy to forget about others around you when you're depressed and feel helpless. I was there before and it pains me to know you're going through that. Yes. Good. I will hold on to that promise. Of course ice cream. Best thing to eat next to tequila shots since the latter is not an option.
