Sam sighed and ran a hand down his face. Â Another Christmas, another day. Â Really, what did holidays mean? Â It was just another day in the life of a Hunter. Â Monsters and the general Supernatural didnât take a holiday just because it was Christmas, or New years, or even the 4th of July. Â It wasnât the first time that Sam had wanted a normal life. Â There were plenty of times that he wishes that he was able to finish Law school, marry, have kids, but that was just wishful thinking. Â The past couldnât be changed, as many times as the angelâs had tried. Â
Sam had no idea where Dean was. Â They had had an argument and parted ways. Â He wished that they hadnât parted on such bad terms, and there were moments where Sam hoped that his brother was okay. Â The life, wasnât one of guarantees, except for death. Â It was only a matter of time, and both Sam and Dean had died on multiple occasions. Â Sam wondered when the last time would happen, when death would be permanent. Â
There had been a blizzard. Â Sam had been following a lead on bigfoot, or the abominable snowman, he wasnât sure anymore. Â Local intel had stated that there was a rather large beast that wandered the woods, was over 8 feet tall, smelled like rotten feet and could crush a manâs skull with one hand, or paw. Â Several campers had gone missing in the last few weeks. Â The only thing that had been recovered of the bodies were limbs. Â It was quite disturbing. Â
Sam cursed his luck as a Winchester and pulled his parka closer to his body. Â The piece of crap car he had hotwired three states ago, finally died. Â The engine cracked. Â He hoped that his GPS was accurate, as he was only about 3 miles from the center of town. Â He had been out scoping out the last sight of the latest victim, or well their last known location. Â Snow blanketed everything and make it eerily quiet. Â His breath came out in white puffs through the thick scarf that he had wrapped around his face. Â His fingers were frozen as well as his toes. Â He was oddly surprised that the car dying was what stranded him. Â The roads had been so slick and hardly plowed at all. Â He was certain he would have run off the road first. Â
He walked on, hoping to see someone, anyone, or shelter sometime soon. Â He was certain he would freeze out here. Â He would take anyone, Ruby, hell even Crowley at this point. Â He pulled out his phone, hoping against hope for a signal, but there was nothing. Â No bars and the battery bar that said he only had 10% life left. He guessed that forgetting to charge it the night before was a bad idea. Â With that thought, he turned his thoughts off and tried to pick up his pace, as he wrapped his arms around his chest, attempting to keep as much warmth against the bulk of his body as possible.
Charlotte padded through the snow cursing the fact her mustang didnât wish to start in such cold conditions meaning she was on a hiking expedition after the snowman that seemed to be lacking the festive spirit. After-all the creatures that goo bump in the night never took a holiday off and Christmas was no surprise to them. Shoving her hands which had two pairs of gloves on, due the hunter being a bit of a wimp when it came to the cold, she continued down the road wondering her long itâd be before she found another poor soul wandering the streets.Â
As she walked head hung low watching the snow condense with every step, her thoughts turned to a particular hunter that she hadnât seen for a while. Ever since she tipped him off about his Dad being around asking questions he seemed harder then smoke to catch, and with every day her heart being to grow more desperate to see him. Heck! It was Christmas and the least the dick-head could do was send her a text to say âHappy Christmas Grumpy smurfâ but not that seemed to hard for him. Sniffing allowed to turned to calm herself down before she froze her cheeks with tears. Deciding she had enough and just wanted to go back to a radiator she quickly turned on the spot not noticing where she was going and ended up waking into the back of a figure that must have just passed her. âSorryâ she spluttered out looking at the strangers face. It seemed familiar something she had seen before. Dean and John had shown her a picture with that face. âSam?â she spoke aloud like verbal vomit. âUh-sorry bit odd when a stranger with tears on her face decides to say your name!â pulling one hand out her pocket she held it out for him to shake, âIâm Charlotte Taylor kinda of girlfriend to the wonderful disappearing act that is your brother.âÂ
