A quick look back at ArtFight. It was great fun. I drew a few other faces as well. I even got some pictures of my characters 🥰

Anyway, the stats speak for themselves: T’vra was the more popular choice for the drawing. And now she’s teasing Kwei’shra 😁

Just a quick comic. I’m moving into a new flat and don’t have much time for drawing at the moment. So I’ll probably only be creating more once the move is sorted.

Dek’s an interesting chap. But so far, I haven’t grown fond of him enough to want to make a comic with him. Comics are quite time-consuming, and I’ve got loads of other Yautja who deserve to be drawn in a comic. But here’s at least a little illustration for you 😉

Hi. I’m really glad you like my work. Here’s a little batch of Yautja babies.

I’m not sure if this is what you had in mind, as these are once again drawn from the lives of my characters. What’s more, they’re from the Naar Hish clan. Their facial anatomy is a bit different from what we’re used to seeing in the Yautja from the films and such. But I can’t help it – I just enjoy drawing them😊

Here are Vei’ke and his brother from the same litter, Va’rezu. Back when they were babies. And, of course, Kwei’shra, their mother.

I don’t see Yautja babies as human babies. I see them more like puppies. They develop very quickly, and as soon as they learn to use their legs (which doesn’t take long), they start testing their hunting skills through play. They’re curious and hard to keep an eye on. And that’s the job of their mothers: to watch over them, protect them and feed them. And the cheeky, venomous T’za won’t let the Naar Hish mothers get a moment’s sleep.

EDIT: I uploaded the images panel by panel because the comic pages weren’t clear enough. I need to give some more thought to how I’ll upload comics in future. What works best for you?

Vei’ke really messed up #2

A light-hearted follow-up to Vei’ke’s blunder. A new character, Ka’ish, enters the scene. Let’s get to know him.

A few people have asked me why I’m drawing a comic about a piece of clothing. The answer is: So that readers can get to know the Naar Hish clan in their natural state, and my main characters too.

And because I’m mad about fabrics! :D

I think this is my last piece for ArtFight this years. Revenge for @meatsema and Ann’thar. I love her massive mane!

Yes, Kwei’shra is at an age where she doesn’t need a lot of things anymore 😁 But she’s still in top form.

The fact that she’s a Yautja plays a big part in that. And the other thing is that she sticks to the rules for a healthy lifestyle:

she gets plenty of exercise in the fresh air. Plenty of good-quality sleep. She absolutely loves that! She eats in moderation. She looks after herself. She maintains healthy relationships with her loved ones.

And her secret recipe: when her patrol ends, she heads across the border into Varuum Tek territory. There, she knows a spot where there are small thermal pools. And there, in the mineral water from the bowels of the earth, she warms her body.

The marshes are a cold and inhospitable place. It’s just as well that nobody knows about these pools (or so she thinks), because otherwise they’d be packed all the time 😁

I finally drew a human after what felt like an eternity. And one who’s actually wearing clothes! All these loincloths and suits of armor are driving me crazy😁

Vei’ke really messed up #1

Trading is a completely new concept among the Naar Hish. And the older members aren’t as enthusiastic about it as the younger ones. 🙈 And Vei’ke didn't think it through.

The original plan was to draw a short four-panel sequence… but things got a little out of hand. With Naar Hish, everything takes a long time.
