"Hello, Artemia. Do you have something useful to tell me, or are you just here to piss me off?"

Artemia crosses her arms and shifts her weight. “Yes, Artemia here to annoy Red! No, Artemia here to say Sister’s both left, Artemia in charge of mission now!” Artemia puffed out her chest in proudness.

Artemia is one of a few asterisk holders who received a slight makeover in Bravely Archive. I think her new design is cute, so I wanted to try drawing it.

Hi guys! I really want to get back to RPing so i came back to this blog, it was my favourite! And i’m sorry i left so abruptly) but everything go so busy and now i need to get my creativity back! I was just mooching about some of my favourite blogs and noticed most of them were gone, or not active D:

Lost and Found || Edea & Artemia

  Artemia’s face lit up when she heard that Eternia were looking for her. She felt ecstatic to not be forgotten about…But then the following words shattered her. Her sister’s didn’t even know, “Sister’s never realised Artemia was missing? Is Edea sure?” A single tear ran down the huntress’s cheek.

"How long has Artemia been gone?" Maybe it was only a couple of months and that is why Mephilia and Einheria didn’t notice. 

Artemia then gave a thought to her saviour. “Why is Edea here? Lost too?” She gave a small smile, all that she could muster, but it was there for the other girl to see.

"Th-They only didn’t notice because nobody told them!" Shoot. That was not what Edea had meant to convey! "It’s — It’s been six months. The search for you has only intensified, because we knew Einheria and Mephilia would expect something from you soon."

Edea couldn’t imagine how Artemia must have felt, thinking her sisters had forgotten her. They hadn’t, though! They were just…busy.

And kept in the dark.

"Me? Oh, well," She tried to give the other girl an equally strong smile, hoping that this would comfort her. "Well, I wanted to help in the search, too. My father wouldn’t allow it, but…" she shrugged. "I came on my own."

"So sister's don't know Artemia nearly died?" The huntress was getting angry, not at Edea, it wasn't her fault, but Artemia couldn't help it, she had been alone for so long, all she thought about was her sister's holding her when she got home, making sure she was alright.

But now...When she got home, she would be alone, they would be gone on missions and everything would be like nothing had changed, like she hadn't been missing, presumed dead by some, by most. And on their return, Artemia would be there and her sister's wouldn't know.

"Edea came without permission? Artemia came to help Artemia with the Grand Marshal saying no?" Thank you. That means a lot to Artemia. "Are there others here?"

"…" Artemia was confused… "Why would Praline want to join?" She asked. "Why does Praline not just ask Victoria? Victoria’s group. Victoria owns"

"Because that way, we can become a girl band that can conquer all!" Praline declared. "We can rule all with fans doing our bidding. That and you were easier to get to than Victoria."

Artemia pulled a slightly disgusted face at Praline as she replied "Artemia doesn't do music. Artemia not like to do music. Artemia likes doing her own bidding anyway. No fun just watching." So Praline wanted to speak to Victoria, but Victoria busy...That's why Praline is bothering Artemia...

Lost and Found || Edea & Artemia

  Artemia really didn’t know how to react, she just stood there whilst Edea rambled with her questions. she was standing there awkwardly waiting for Edea to finish. There was only one thing Artemia wanted to know:

"Are sister’s looking for Artemia? Do sister’s remember Artemia?" She just wanted to know that they were still back home for her. She had tried her hardest to get back home but the paths were all snowed over, she didn’t know where she was, but she tried anyway. Wandering endlessly to find her sisters. no one else cared to Artemia at the moment.

"Tell Artemis that sister’s are okay…" She said almost in tears, she couldn’t bare it anymore.

"Ah-! We — Well, we —" How was she to put this? Edea flailed mentally, "All of Eternia has been searching for you, Artemia!"

She could have lied and said her sisters were seeking her, too, but then what would happen when she got home and they weren’t there?

"My — The Grand Marshall did not tell them that you were missing,” she concluded finally, hoping Artemia would not be too upset. “He…didn’t want to disrupt their missions — but that’s because he knew, he knew if he told them, your sisters would come straight home and not stop until they found you!”

It didn’t explain why Einheria and Mephilia hadn’t written letters to their younger sister, because if they did, they would have certainly known about her absence. But she hoped Artemia wouldn’t think of that.

"But once we get back to Eternia, we’ll summon them immediately," she added hastily, "So you can be with them again as soon as possible!"

She looks quite edgy. The ranger thought. Maybe it was due to the fact that Artemia had tried to kill the other girl previously. “Artemia sorry about making Bella nervous.” She smiled back at the other girl. Artemia wasn’t here to hurt her. Unless provoked that is.

"What brings Bella here today?" She asked, trying to ease the tension around them.  You could cut it with a knife…

Bella was hesitant for a moment longer before nodding. If something were to happen, she was sure that she could be fast enough to avoid it. Her precaution wasn’t unwarranted, but at least she could enjoy what she had come for. She could keep her defenses up and still not be quite as much of a stiff.

“It’s … fine. It is rude of me to doubt the intentions of a pretty woman who I interrupted.”

She pulled off another layer, trying to minimize what she would get wet. “Ah, just tired of Florem. I needed a break from all of the madness. And yourself?”

The ranger blushed, did she really get called pretty..? She sat quietly, waiting for the redness to disappear before she spoke, maybe Bella hadn't noticed...Doubtful. 

"Artemia sick of Florem too...Artemia want;s to go home. Artemia here on mission for sister though. What is Bella doing here in Florem? Mission yourself? Or is it for play?" Artemia smiled at the other girl, she was much prettier that Artemia, she was kind of jealous...

"So you are saying that Key can hurt? Artemia doesn’t believe you…" The huntress started scowling.

‘Well, I mean, it can hurt Heartless and Nobodies, I’m not sure about much else… ‘ He shrugged, giving a trying smile. ’Is there something wrong?’

Artemia was severely confused..."Heartless and nobodies? Never heard of those..." She continued "Keys can't be harmful, doesn't look it either..."

‘Wha— that’s not true, don’t say that !!’

"So you are saying that Key can hurt? Artemia doesn't believe you..." The huntress started scowling.

Artemia sighed, the ranger kind of knew how Bella felt. After all, she was only here for a swim too. So. Artemia became civil towards her companion. “Can join Artemia if you wish?” She tilted her head slightly and smiled softly.

Bella looked at her for a moment, with a bit of unease. She wasn’t quite sure how to react, whether it was safe or not. Well, at least they would be on equal footing. “Um, yeah. That would be nice.” She said, before giving a sweet smile.

  "A pleasure, Artemia." She said, shaking the young woman’s hand before letting go. The woman appeared nice enough, and was adamant about going for a quick hunt. Even if things seemed calm now, it would not hurt to keep a look out for anything lurking within the foliage. What was the worst that could happen?

"You could say that," Maria then answered, smiling more. "It is actually a part of my job back home. I even use the same weapon you carry. Unfortunately, I decided to leave it at home for this little trip. But I do have a dagger and a bit of magic on my side. Do you think that may help with the hunt?"

Artemia nodded along as Maria spoke. Just a dagger? The girl thought. She looks like she can handle herself though. Artemia answered at that point "Of course. Artemia won't let you get hurt. Artemia good!" She gleamed with pride. Even she could admit how good she has gotten with her bow.

"What does Maria think will be out there?" She ended.

Artemia huffed in annoyance, she just wanted to be alone…She was aware that she was acting childish. But then again, she was still a child.

"Yes." she snapped "You do know me. Artemia Venus. Ring any bells?" Yes, that was a pun intended. She flicked the hait out of her face, it needed cutting again, it was interrupting her view, especially with her aim with the bow. She crossed her arms feeling less clothed than she actually was, she sat there awkwardly waiting for the intruder to speak.

Bella tensed just slightly at the name. She should have been able to see that, based on her stature, but it still had eluded her. But, at the same time, she didn’t see a particular threat. Well, she couldn’t sense it. It was well enough for her to be a threat with no weaponry at all.

“A-ah. Right. Apologies. It’s hard to recognize you like … this. I truly didn’t mean to interrupt you. I merely came for a swim.”

Artemia sighed, the ranger kind of knew how Bella felt. After all, she was only here for a swim too. So. Artemia became civil towards her companion. "Can join Artemia if you wish?" She tilted her head slightly and smiled softly.
