I swear to submit to the following set of rules drawn up and confirmed by DOGMA 95: Shooting must be done on location. Props and sets must not be brought in (if a particular prop is necessary for the story, a location must be chosen where this prop is to be found). The sound must never be produced apart from the images or vice versa. (Music must not be used unless it occurs where the scene is being shot.) The camera must be hand-held. Any movement or immobility attainable in the hand is permitted. The film must be in color. Special lighting is not acceptable. (If there is too little light for exposure the scene must be cut or a single lamp be attached to the camera.) Optical work and filters are forbidden. The film must not contain superficial action. (Murders, weapons, etc. must not occur.) Temporal and geographical alienation are forbidden. (That is to say that the film takes place here and now.) Genre movies are not acceptable. The film format must be Academy 35 mm. The director must not be credited. Furthermore I swear as a director to refrain from personal taste! I am no longer an artist. I swear to refrain from creating a “work”, as I regard the instant as more important than the whole. My supreme goal is to force the truth out of my characters and settings. I swear to do so by all the means available and at the cost of any good taste and any aesthetic considerations. Thus I make my VOW OF CHASTITY. The Nothing but Thieves fan project!

This project is to show Nothing but Thieves our support towards them as fans! The task is to write the band a letter (including your name, country, and social media handle at the end) about how much they mean to you or inspire you as musicians. Send your photos, drawings, and letters in an email to [email protected] or submit them here (links on the blog page). Remember to keep everything you submit respectful and kind as the band will hopefully see it, and this is mean to be a nice gesture. All the photos, drawings, and letters will be printed/written into a small hard bound notebook which I will hopefully get to the band (or Stu) at their show on August 18th in Singapore! My face when somebody tells me something abt Eurovision

Well guys. We all know that yesterday ended the 61th Eurovision Song Contest. Of course, as Russian, I was voting for our singer. He won the third place I’m really proud of this fact. As far as I know he won the first place at people voting. Judges gave the first place to fantastic Australian singer. But whole competition was won by Ukrainian lady. I may not totally agree with this fact just bcz I don’t like this song really much. But anyway, good luck to Jamala in her future. The main point is. A lot of people, not only in Russia, don’t think that results are honest. I don’t want discuss it now, it will remain on the conscience of the people who counted points. I just can’t understand one thing. All over the Internet I found, maybe better to say came across, posts with words like “Russia sucks!”, “How the hell he could get the first place at people voting!!”. Guys, I’m begging you to stop doing this. Art and sport are always out of policy. If you don’t like our song, okay, every man to his own taste. But please, don’t insult Sergey. All this political thing happens not due to HIS will. Let’s be more tolerance and separate life and politic. PEACE AND LOVE!!!!
