What exactly was Bean trying to do now? Something about ‘Boom fast, make cash’ or something. He was rambling so much it was hard to keep track of things he said at times.

Whatever the supposed scheme was, Bark wasn’t on board in the slightest. Of course he trusted the woodpecker with explosives of every shape and size, but if Bean was trying to pull reckless stunts for clients just for a quick buck then Bark wasn’t going to stand idly by and allow people who weren’t involved with their mission get hurt.

Even he had standards.

Giving the dynamite duck a disapproving look that just wordlessly said ‘really?’, Bark just picked up the bird and furrowed his brow. Essentially, he was urging Bean to think of another not-so-reckless plan to make money.

The machine was greeted by a curious yet hesitant gaze the bear seemed to carry in his eyes, standing by with his arms crossed in a casual stance.

Bark wasn’t quite sure on what to think of this ‘Neo Metal Sonic’, personally he didn’t particularly care about Metal Sonic as a whole because... He was Sonic. But metal. At least this Neo Metal Sonic looked different enough than the one he was based off of, however, so he supposed the machine had that going for him. Still, this was a reason why Bark was hesitant to work with Eggman on occasion. Metal Sonic only showed that Eggman would even go out of his way- to take the time and effort tomake a robotic copy of his sworn enemy... Just to defeat said enemy.

Thankfully, Bark was never one to speak his mind unless he was truly unhappy, and was forced to voice his opinion, so he never really got into trouble with Robotnik for giving his creations weird looks here and there. 

Oh well, so long as the advanced metal hedgehog didn’t cause a problem for the Hooligans, Bark would simply deal with it.

Standing in the evil genius’ lab was a scene Bark was all too familiar with at this point. Sure, when he and the Hooligans were first hired by Eggman, Bark WAS nervous (albeit he hid it well) since Eggman’s goals were... not in his ideals, to say the least. However after a few easy jobs and some nice hefty paychecks, Bark learned to just go with the flow when it came to this kind of work. Although he had fears in the back of his mind that Eggman would somehow back stab him, Nack, and Bean some day and use them to power some of his machines... But that wasn’t going to happen so long as they took care of any dirty work he wanted, right?

...Right?

His attention to Eggman, he simply had to ponder on what the mastermind had in store for him today; arms crossed and a fire in his crimson eyes as he focused on the human man.

“...” A scowl and a ‘Hmph’ was all the echidna was met with. Bark wasn’t particularly fond of Knuckles since he gave him and his associates a hard time, but he could at least call Knuckles a formidable opponent, and admire the raw strength he had as a brawler.

With that in mind though, Why would he have run into Knuckles at a time like this? There wasn’t any reason for him to not be guarding that Master Emerald or whatever, unless it still wasn’t complete?

He had a lot of questions, but the true question would be if Knuckles would be willing to answer, if he could?

... Loud squinting. Who was this white hedgehog and why did he give him some weird vibe like he wasn’t supposed to be here? Bark was visibly tense but for unknown reasons that even he didn’t know, but he didn’t want to fight this hedgehog. His senses told him it was a fight he’d lose, but that wasn’t going to stop him from going on the defensive until he got some answers.

There was a reason why she called him to her office. There had to have been a specific reason, why else would she send for just Bark? Usually if people hired him they’d ask for his associates along with him, so he was easily perplexed as to why Breezie would want JUST the bruiser... Did she need extra muscle? A body guard? Someone who wouldn’t talk back to her?

Whatever the reason, it had to be important. It was Breezie, she doesn’t fool around unless it’s to mess with people on purpose; and anyone with a brain knows not to mess with him.

He crossed his arms, waiting for her to speak.
