// getting away with murder
huxjihoon:
Jihoon wasn’t the type to drop out of nowhere and burst someone’s concentration bubble but with all the paper scattered around the other - someone from his elective class, Jihoon recognizes - he couldn’t help it. Slowly approaching the other, steps quiet as he peeked at the other, waiting for the perfect time to speak. He hadn’t expect the other to reply so quickly to his statement.
“Maybe?” Jihoon questioned, eyebrow raising. Of course, it would make for a boring novel if the other was caught so easily. “I mean, I guess if the cops you include in your novel are component enough then he’ll get caught. That or if he’s a skilled enough murderer, he won’t…” Jihoon muttered softly, “Is it alright if I take a seat?” Shifting his horror novels from one arm to the other, Jihoon tilted his head to the right, eyes peering at the other questioningly. He didn’t mind moving elsewhere but it was nice to be around people he knew.
Now, normally Jaebum isn’t the sort who is overly keen on his concentration being broken by anyone. Hell, he doesn’t even like it when his roommate comes in the room too quickly if he’s working. But he likes when others are interested in his work. Perhaps that makes his ego a problem but he liked to think he never fished for compliments. Really, he’s far more invested in genuine conversation about it and discussion of plot. “Maybe, yes. He’s crafty and there are so many other issues in the world.” He does is smile and motion for Jihoon to take a seat across from him. “Go right ahead. I just won’t be the most sociable.” He admits with a little chuckle.
Glancing through his notes again, he rubs a hand over his face and jots a small revision in the margins. “To be honest, it’s more so the work of a detective that hunts him down. Though the police force isn’t bad, they’re caught up in red tape. I like playing with grey morality.” Humming quietly, he starts tapping on his keys again, somewhat furiously as if a thought has just struck him.
