I have to say that just moving into a house with the love of my life and getting to see two my very best friends get married in a few days is the absolute best way to start off a new decade. I’ve always been one that was big on resolutions in the past, but I think I’m doing away with them this year since I pretty much never follow them anyways. If anything, my resolution is just to live life and enjoy myself, be present in every aspect. What about you? Do you have any resolutions? Not to give away any spoilers, but I am proud to say that this season people have finally came to their senses and see Joe for the guy he truly is: Not Boyfriend Material. It still baffles me to this day how many comments I got after the first season hit talking about how they wanted to date or had a crush Joe even though he was basically a full-fledged psychopath with a tendency to cause some real harm. I get that I am ruggedly handsome, but that shouldn’t remotely blind people from the fact that Joe is just a messed-up guy. Don’t even get me started on Dan Humphrey either, because that guy isn’t any better. To make a long story short, I’m Penn and I promise you that I am the nicest and coolest person you will ever meet… despite the fact that my most memorable characters are basically terrible human beings. @hwlstart​

What does it say about me that your most memorable character in my mind was Scott from John Tucker Must Die? Other than the obvious fact that it’s my guilty pleasure movie, even after all this time. You is a beauty as well, but I’m only on the first few episodes of the second season. I’ve seen that weird trend of idolizing the worst people first hand with American Horror Story, too. Worrying, right? Then again, if I love playing the wankers so much, I guess that reflects badly on me, too.

As my Twitter timeline keeps cleverly pointing out, there’s less than forty-eight hours until we’re in a new decade and I for one am glad to say good riddance to this one. I mean, if it’s coming up with stupid things like TikTok instead of flying cars, I’d rather we be one step closer to drowning myself in alcohol before the countdown ends. Which brings me to, how are you all celebrating? Who’s locking lips? Who do you want to lock lips with if you don’t have a significant other? New Year’s Eve brings the best entertainment and hopefully, you’re just as excited for it as I am.

I always find NYE itself a major disappointment with how much I hype it up, so this year I’m just planning on keeping it lowkey and seeing what happens. Doubt I’ll be locking lips with anyone or getting up to anything too exciting, so I’d rather hear about yours. How are you ever going to chose from all the invitations you must have?

Totally understandable. When I see a fight, I don’t wonder what it’s over or who’s in the wrong, I just want to find out who’s going to come out on top. I’ve never really understood that viewpoint myself, women always seem to love it, but my anxiety for the one I love would be sky high.

To annoy me, my soon to be ex-wife bought our children a karaoke set for Christmas. It’s been non-stop off-key singing in my house. Is it too cruel to force them to the shed? They’ve got a heater there…  I always thought a father’s love for his children was unconditional, but now I know that there are limits. Did everyone enjoy their Christmas? I had an amazing Christmas, though. Spent it in Europe mostly, so I could experience at least one cold one. No drama, unless you count some drunk Irish man getting too opinionated in the pub.

I never want to cross that line between protective husband and controlling douchebag, so finding myself pinning a guy to a wall today was shocking to even me. It’s just - why do exes always crawl out from whatever holes they’re in once they see that their former partner is happy? And what gives them the gall to approach a married couple out to eat, completely ignore the still shiny wedding bands and rings around the fingers, and disregard the slowly fuming husband as they lay out what they think are their best pick up lines. No means no, buddy. She’s not interested. She’s moved on. Yes, hello, I’ll chop off that hand if you try to touch her arm one more time.

Given that he’d spent most of his winter holidays throughout his life in the cold, snowbound streets that covered the Wittrock Massachusetts estate, Finn had a good feeling that he’d be able to handle the temperatures that he’s gotten himself and Cody into for their shared vacation. It definitely helped that the older male felt a warmth spread through him whenever he was around the other male no matter what the weather was like around them. Speaking of the location that two of them had picked out together, though, Finn found his eyes gazing from the window of the car that revealed the Ireland landscape to his past co-star frequently during their taxi ride to the hotel. It’d become habit for him with no control over his will to not look back at Cody, but no better time than now to spend it seeing what he found truly beautiful. Visiting other countries that had more respect for welcoming strangers consisted to blow his mind, and it was that reason being for why his own arms stretched themselves forward to grab their luggage before he quickly held his hands to hold behind his back with a growing smile being shot over to Cody, trying not to impose on the services that were kindly being given to them.

A pleasant familiarity filled the actor’s senses when walking into their assigned room, memories of their previous vacation appearing where they had been made roommates. That was one hell of a week that he was fortunate enough to have with Cody, but other people were a part of it, and that’s exactly why this one was different. It felt more intimate for the two of them, a sensation he’d wanted to get himself into. “Fuck me is quite the way to put it if you’re looking to warm up, Cody,” His words formed into a soft laugh as he finished the sentence, taking a seat at the end of the bed closest to him with his eyes scanning the room before landing back on the other male. “I think there couldn’t have been a better place for us to pick, actually. You know I would have been happy to be in a shack with you, but I’m glad we went this route for sure.”

More often than not, Cody found himself resorting to phrases he’d use all the time in Australia. It had been a real test having to hold a conversation in front of a camera without dropping the ‘fuck’ bomb as often as any other, yet when he was around people whom he was comfortable with, the gloves were off, and he hadn’t even noticed how his sentence had sounded. “D’you reckon that’s how Irish people stay warm all throughout the winter? Because you know, if we’re staying in Ireland, we might want to think about doing as the Irish do...” he finished with a grin, figuring they’d got to that point where he didn’t have to hold anything back, and could speak his mind. Then, as if he hadn’t dropped what some people would consider a massive bombshell, Cody plugged in his phone and perched on the end of his own bed, eyes practically never leaving Finn despite his love for browsing all around hotel rooms, wherever he stayed. And just as quickly as he brought it up, he changed the subject. “So what do you want to do first? Any ideas? Because I kinda have a bucketlist of probably exceedingly lame Christmas things that I want to get done, any maybe if any of them match up with yours, we could start there...”
