“Whoa, hey–chill. It was a joke. Guess you haven’t been told many,” he mused, casting a glance in the other’s direction. Her voice was just dripping with austerity. “So, uh, who is your father anyway? Maybe you can introduce us.” He offered with a small shrug, lips pressed together in a thin line. A subject change was undoubtedly required.
“If you have a hood on your jacket, you should throw it over your head. Less attention will be drawn && well, uh, that look would probably suit you. That’s also a joke, by the way.” He tried keeping up with her pace, which wasn’t that difficult, with him being practically dragged && all. Not that he minded much. Hopefully if things went well enough, she’d enlighten him about how she ended up in the lab && discuss what exactly went down there. He wouldn’t get his hopes up, however.
He took note of the way her eyes lit up; the way she resembled a child in a candy store. It was strangely adorable. “So, good plan, huh?” A smirk played on his lips, hands lifting to roll up his sleeves. “There should be a map around here somewhere. We can go anywhere you want && eat anything you want, ok?”
