I see the isekai genre used in fanfics a lot and nearly every time it's someone who already knows the universe but where the fun in that? Like imagine you don't know anything ab black butler but you end up there not knowing anything or anyone. Like Sebastian just gets done with that nun scene and your just like, covering your nose and side eyeing him while going "ughhhh brother, ughhh, what's that! What's that brother!"😂😂😂 But what I think is the funniest is a reader who turns up with no knowledge but can just read people without trying. It'd be like:
Ciel: you seriously think you can tell me something about myself that I don't already know? *Sarcastic tone*
Reader: you have PTSD and bipolar depression.
But idk about you I be bulling the shit out of Sebastian whenever I like BB.
Sebastian: *irritated bc of the 'destructive trio'*

You get it😂😂 but yeah I think the funniest type of gen z reader who genuinely think their the dumbest person alive, so they act like it. Like their actually rlly smart, but just doesn't act like it.
RIGHTT. I would find it more interesting if it was someone who didn't know anything about BB. There are so many more possibilities for content!
And yeah, a reader who has no knowledge whatsoever but being able to read other people easily is so comedic.
I just know that they would say something to someone that would be so out of pocket 😭 Like something that would make them re-think everything.
Readers who appear and act really dumb but are actually really intelligent is the best genre.
Hey! I just saw your answer to my ask. And no worries! If it takes longer for you to write but you actually put out a good fic why would I be complaining? I go through so many of these fic hashtags a day, people will put out work that is very obviously very rushed, and it makes it pretty damn hard to enjoy a fic when the author obviously didn't care WHAT they put out, just that they did so on time. So by all means take a century, as long as what you put out was something that you actually enjoyed writing, don't let people pressure you into no longer liking a thing you once enjoyed.
Thank you 😭💞 This makes me feel better with how long I can take. You’re right, taking longer to publish some writing is better than publishing something rushed (usually). I want to make sure that I'm putting out my personal best work than something I rushed and didn't put too much effort in, even if it takes longer

If reader is gen z it'd be even funnier. They could make undertaker laugh without trying, Sebastian would probably be super curious, idc I'm stuffing grell into the dress of her damn dreams, and ciel would just be so done with our shit😂😂 if this idea is trash then throw it away ofc but if you like it, then i cant wait to see what you do with this idea.
I like this idea a lot! I can definitely see Undertaker having fun with the reader and Sebastian’s curiosity towards the reader. Grell would probably be in Heaven, lol. Ciel would want us GONE 😭 He would definitely be taking a deep breath whenever he saw the reader. But I do have a question is the reader just a random gen z or are they a gen z Black Butler fan who got transported into the BB universe?

Imagine how annoying it was for Ciel in the very beginning of his contract with Sebastian... Like he lost everything and to make things worse the demon he sold his soul to can't even make a sandwich for him 😭
Sirius is a popular suggestion to what O!Ciel’s name could be but I really don't see it happening 😭 Mainly because when you think of the name Sirius you think of Sirius Black, so it takes his spotlight away
Sebastian and Ciel’s Contract Isn't Fair: an explanation
(Includes spoilers for Ciel’s past)
This is going to be a short explanation, mainly because I don't think it should need a long one to understand this.
Anyway. I've seen people say that Sebastian and Ciel’s contract is fair and that Sebastian deserves to eat Ciel’s soul — this is completely wrong.
Their contract was never fair in the beginning. Let's backtrack to a few chapters before Sebastian and Ciel meet:
As we know, O!Ciel went through extreme trauma (including R!Ciel.) On his 10th birthday his parents, the house servants and his dog Sebastian all got killed. He saw their bodies.
Then shortly after he, along with his brother got kidnapped by a cult. This cult sa'ed/r-ped him and his brother, and also subjected them to other forms of torture and starvation.
And in chapter 136, R!Ciel got sacrificed and his soul eaten by who we soon know as Sebastian. O!Ciel witnessed all of this.
Mere moments later, Ciel meets Sebastian for the first time. Immediately, Sebastian manipulates Ciel into a contract. Just look at these few panels:
All of this is clear manipulation. I shouldn't need to explain this. The panel where Sebastian holds up R!Ciel’s body in front of O!Ciel speaks for itself.
Ciel had no choice in making the contract, it was either die or die. If he didn't make the contract he would've died by the cult, starvation, whatever.
The whole situation wasn't fair to Ciel at all. Ciel was already in a very, very horrible mental state. In only the past month he lost everything. His parents, his dog, his home, his brother, his innocence and a proper childhood. He is 10 years old when all of this happens.
He isn't in any position to make a contract with a who-knows-how-many-millenniums-old-demon at 10 years old and experienced all of this trauma already.
And after Ciel made the contract, Sebastian immediately started to try to deceive him. Here's a panel showing this:
I'm going to remind you again: Ciel is 10 years old when the contract was made. So, how is this fair? It isn't.
People say that Sebastian deserves to eat Ciel’s soul because of everything he has been assigned to. Although that's one of the likely endings to the story — it isn't deserved.
Basically everything that Sebastian has been doing in the contract, such as his assistance, will never be fully fair to Ciel.
Sebastian is a demon. Basically everything he has been assigned to has never been too much of an effort. It's probably annoying, yes. But he's still a demon who might be in the millenniums years old. He will eventually forget about Ciel after eating his soul, and none of it would really mean anything to him.
Like all demons, Sebastian doesn't care about fairness, he just wants a meal.
So I read Coattails by @pain-in-the-butler and HNNNG I LOVED IT. I read a chapter a night this past month and it easily became my favourite part of the day, I couldn’t wait to read more…alas, I have finished for now, but I so wanted to draw something for it because wow.
In the fic, Ciel and Sebastian has these “nightly meetings” and it was so cute, I had to draw it 🥺💕
