Au explanation:

This is like an animal au? Like everyone’s an animal. Human’s don’t really exist. Everyone either has already has an animal picked out for them or will. Furries don’t exist because why would they?

Max is a Hyena as you can probably tell. He’s still very much cannon Max, or as cannon as my rps get.

[Max peaks back into the room. He slowly walks towards her, careful of her movement.]

[Juniper doesn’t notice his return yet, focusing on writing something down in a notebook while looking at the textbook next to her.]

[With her not noticing he’ll get as close as he can.]

[Her left ear flicks slightly at a noise but she doesn’t pay attention to it, seeming fully focused on whatever she’s copying down.]

[He stops right by her. Waiting for a reaction or something.]

[Juni freezes, nose twitching slightly before she turns her head to look at Max with narrowed eyes.]

[Max pauses and looks at her, looking for signs of aggression.]

[She contemplates something for a moment as she looks him before rolling her eyes and going back to what she always writing down, showing no aggression yet, if anything just mild annoyance at being interrupted.]

[Max debates this. Technically any movement should have sent him back but he’s already this far and has acted in a more aggressive way before so he stays. He back leg paws at the floor.]

[Juniper’s ear flicks back at the noise and her tail makes a sort of twitch, she glances out the corner of her eye at Max but doesn’t say anything yet.]

[With that Max makes himself look more presentable. Fixing his jacket. Smoothing some of her fur down. Fiddling with the cuffs of his sleeve.]

[With a small huff Juni puts her pen down before turning to look at Max with an unimpressed sort of look, just watching as he makes himself look presentable. She’s tempted to swat at him, just to see how he’d react.]

[When he finish he looks at her. Trying to see if she’s reacting positively or negatively.]

[She gives a small sort of smile when he looks to her, finding this surprisingly adorable and trying to rack her brain why he’s doing it. The behaviour was explained to her, she just has to remember why he’s doing it.]

[Seeing her react positively. Max crosses one of his legs in front of the other and bows down to her.]

[Something clicks in Juni’s head as she watches Max bow, and she considers something for a moment before reaching out with a paw and softly batting at one of his ears.]

[Max looks confused. A little low whine coming from him. He thought it was going well but she hit him so…]

[Juni’s ears pin back at hearing his whine and she freezes with a worried sort of look before bringing her paw closer to herself, thinking she’s read the situation wrong or done something horribly wrong and doesn’t know where to go from here.]

[Max isn’t sure how to go from here. He already did the whole thing then got rejected? Or at least hit. He tilts his head curiously and whines again.]

[Juni tries to wrack her brain for how to get point across in case Max read that wrong. She pauses before making a sort of chirping noise and leaning to rub her face against the side of his since he’s still bowed and near her level.]

[Max rubs his face back. He can’t help but purr a little.]

[Juniper relaxes, a small purr of her own building up in return as she smiles.]

[Max smiles as well. He moves over to be sitting next to her and continues to purr while rubbing his face against hers.]

[Her purring grows louder at this as Juni continues focusing on rubbing her face against his.]

[Max continues to cuddle with Juni.]

[Juni melts into the cuddle, and once she’s done rubbing her face against his, she rests her chin on his shoulder. Her purring filling the space around them.]

[Max curls up against Juni. He tilts his head giving her more room to shove her face against his neck.]

[Juniper complies with this, burying her face into his neck with a soft chirp. She’s tempted to nip at his neck but doesn’t.]

[Max is content to just stay like this. Cuddled up with her as they both softly purr.]

[After a moment, Juni finally gives into her thoughts and shifts slightly before biting Max’s neck softly with a loud purr.]

[Max whines involuntary. He softly bats her.]

[Juni lifts her head at this, worrying she’s done something wrong as she pulls away from the cuddle with her ears pinned back.]

[Max ducks his head. Trying to not show his flustered face. He pulls her closer to him as he softly whines again.]

[She melts against him when he pulls Juni closer to him, but gives a soft questioning sort of meow at his whine.]

[Max lightly nips at her back. Something gentle and playful.]

[Juni’s ears flatten at this and she puts her face near his neck again, biting softly again.]

[Max whines again before nipping back. He nuzzled his face against her.]

[Juni purrs loudly, her tail moving to softly rub against him.]

[Max purrs more as he continues to basically cuddle with her.]
