For NaNoWriMo I had a third go at a story I’ve been trying to write for almost 20 years now. Still haven’t finished the damn thing, but tried to make (a) cover(s) anyway. Declaring Azrael finished because fuck it, colours are there, and started on Braeden’s.

I'm... incredibly charmed with Genshin Impact art and want to be able to Do The Thing, but I've also been aggressively working _away_ from anime style for years. Also there's no Genshin Impact style guide that I know of, so to achieve this dream I have to... study... Practice. Make with the doodling. Figure out what works and what doesn't. Accept *shudder* mistakes.

Anyway, this is about 2,5 hours worth of trial later. Not entirely sure wtf I'm doing with the colouring but I did learn another neat trick or two with Clip Studio Paint.

Finally got a clue and started using pen stabilization. I’ve been a fool for so long, y’all…

And yes the eyes are borked I was that amazed at fluid lines

Art dump time. iPad stuff from the last two months or so. Yiannis having a bad day, very stereotypical Hisoka because I was feeling nostalgic and the most basic thing I ever drew because I’m flirting with the idea of animation rigging and need to get used to… doing shit simple. And actually finishing it.

Haven’t used my iPad anywhere near as much as I wanted this year, so I was kind of determined to at least try and toss one more drawing out before 2020 dies the death it has deserved.

Elvan... didn’t fare all that well in the Vampire campaign, to put it lightly, but I still like him and his pastel chaos so, eh, what was and could have been, I guess.

Due to my annual tardiness and The Ongoing Situation I've crapped out of doing physical card this year. To make up for that I present you with 2 digital ones! Here's to hoping we all retain/regain our health next year, find jobs we love, raise healthy pets/children/plants, and find enough time, money and energy to do all the fun things, too!

Watched a bunch of art tutorials, got inspired, spend a few evenings drawing one of my concept D&D characters. Completely lost track of light sources halfway through, but overall I’m pretty damn pleased with this.
