         ❛  regrettably -- i have become largely UNCOMFORTABLE with the prospect of skirts.   ❜   it had been a little under a year since the battle determining the fate of her kingdom  &  the hero who saved it.  the effort to rebuild her kingdom from the ground up was  IMMENSE  ,  there was still ample work left to do.  but, sometimes, they all needed a break from politics  &  papers  &  socail graces. zelda was ashamed to admit she missed the freedom of being on her own --- though she did not miss the loneliness that came with it.

          ❛  i missed  trousers.  ❜  they were off to kokiri forest, to show some council with the newborn deku tree and see how well the children fo the forest were faring. but for zelda, she was interested in seeing a part of the woods she’d only laid eyes on when infested with cursed woodland demons.

         she slips delicate fingers into the man’s coin purse. he’s a  stranger  in the town just uphill from the castle, which usually implied he would not be a  KIND one. zelda’s boyish disguise is perfectly in place, the curves of the fabric nearly sewn to her  skin  allowing for ample movement as she picks the pockets of unsuspecting men.  it had been a bad day for profit thus far, though, no one seemed at all sinister had come through kakariko, and when one did she regrettably found an ample supply of POCKET LINT. only foreigners and demons had the gold now.

         but she finds she is distracted by the stranger, so little unfamiliar faces ever graced the surroundings with their presence, not since the usurping of the hylian throne six years prior, and this one was ...  different than the rest.   &,  apparently,  different enough for her to lose her footing and drop the  CHANGE  on the floor.     ❛  drat --  !!!  ❜     her cowl, thankfully, holds tight as well as her bindings. as male as she could make herself.
