I am bringing this here, since each month most of the spoilers originate and spread on tumblr in the first place, specially images.

This was written by a japanese fan last month, because of what happened when chapter 84 spoilers appeared. On that time, many japanese fans were accidentally spoiled by people who saw the spoilers here on tumblr, and went to twitter in a rush, using the spoilers as their icons and names.

The majority of japanese fans do not like to see spoilers. Like the text above says, they like to wait until the release date, buy the magazine, and then read it from there. They are usually very careful, and avoid following people who posts spoilers, they do not visit spoiler tags, etc. However, they cannot avoid seeing the spoilers if you use a spoiler as your icon or name. Because when you do that, and then go and favorite and retweet their tweets, or even follow them, the icon and name shows up on their notifications. They cannot avoid this on any way.

Days before the chapter was out in Japan, people were doing this with titan armin icons, dead erwin icons, names saying who got the serum, and similar very heavy spoiler stuff. Japanese fans were very upset by this and many of them made their profiles private, but still people who already were their followers, could keep spoiling them at any time, so they also started blocking people.

A month has passed and new spoilers will come out soon. Let’s not repeat this mistake again and let’s respect the japanese fandom. If you are on twitter, and you follow and interact with japanese fans, please do not use any spoiler as your icon or name before the magazine comes out in Japan on the 9th. Otherwise you will upset many snk fans and spoil them against their wishes, and you will probably find yourself wondering why suddenly your favorite artist blocked you on twitter.
