It's been a long time since I've dedicated some time to the arts, but getting to be part of this awesome collective, called The House of Arts, really gave me the motivation. The monthly prompt was to do a reinterpretation of the famous painting of "the girl with the pearl earring", and of course I had to go with the centaur route ahah

Just some random studies, and another attempt at markers

Decided to revive my blog by posting a freshly done, on a whim pic for 413.

This is a revamp and transing of my trollsona Kevira, for which I tried to use markers since I don't usually use them. I got them gifted from a dear friend while she moved, but I've been too scared to use them... until now!

Still had to darken the skin a bit with some pencil and accentuate the scan a bit in photoshop tho

This is my part of a trade I did with my friendo @forsty , of our sonas happily parading in our respective culture's traditional clothes for our respective national days ^_^ Any excuse for me to dress centaurs in a fun, unusual way is a good one, so even if 17 Mai and the 1st of August are long past, it was fun to draw haha

Really happy with how this turned out, and I thought about doing something SFW for a change, since I'm running out of art I can show to a general audience, whoops ^^

Just in time for mermay, I made this gift for a mermaid friend, since she did a lot to support me. She was one of the folks that stayed all afternoon/evening at the ER that fateful time last year I fell down the cliff, and has been doing so much to cultivate the local mermaiding community.

Yesterday was the international day against homophobia, biphobia, intersex-phobia and transphobia, and the opening day of a group exhibit I'm part of. The general theme is spring, so for the season of love, I chose to depict a trans woman and a trans man satyr in love, surrounded by the flowers of the wilderness, daffodils, dandelions, daisies, and forgetmenots. The beauty of this union reflects the daffodils, dandelions are for the resilience of our community, daisies for the simple wholesomeness of the union, and forgetmenots to never forget the struggle of all the people in our community.

Amor Super Omnia, love above all.

Not like, 100% happy with how it turned out, but my wrists are at a very limited capacity and I couldn't continue. I'm still happy with the hands and the flow of the clothes uwu

I've been neglecting my art platforms quite a bit, so I thought I'd come back with the guy that made me start it all, one looser named Cronus Ampora, and my beloved diva Percy.

I used to write a lot of Cronus and Kankri fanfiction back in the day, and I got so enamoured with the fanon version of Cronus that I thought the look and character would be interesting to play with. I found myself re-reading my first ever big project (a 13 chapter long fanfic), and even with the general immaturity of it, I could see the seeds of what would transform into Percy and Ryder's dynamic, one being awkward and questioning, while the other is openly sexual.

Of course Percy is not the same character, he's not desperately hitting on anyone for a modicum of attention like his Homestuck counterpart, but I never really drew them together before.

I was going to work on other stuff but I got too into the idea of redrawing my centaur self, so here's a better reference of me. Maybe I'll get some art done with it with friends, at least I hope so :3

I hope y'all like it! It's the closest to a self portrait I have done in a while, with the correct tattoos and body markings (and my italian pasta belly lol)

When living with chronic, clinical depression, it's often hard to remember how good life can be. After all that has happened in 2024, including the fall off the cliff, I'm surprised to still be here. And I'm glad I am.

This new year's was magical, in the Norwegian winter snow, on a perfectly clear night, lit by the colorful explosions of fireworks, and the soft glow of northern lights. I've never seen them with my own eyes before, and seeing half the sky draped by these faint ribbons of green was simply magic.

I hope y'all are taking care of each other, stay safe, and I wish you all the best for what's to come. Never be afraid to ask for help, you have more friends than you think

Also, I don't have my wheelchair anymore, I couldn't rent it any longer, but thankfully David and his grandmother were able to get one for free to wheel me around ^_^
