Some tips for information finding and sharing!
To start with, you can use searchicality to search for words and phrases in the transcripts of mythical youtube channels, and many guest appearances on youtube. You can use filmot to search through the transcripts of any youtube channels. For off youtube content, note something down if you want to be able to find it again! When you are sharing a moment, it's super helpful to give the time stamp or use youtube's timecode feature. On desktop, you can rightclick on a video to Copy video URL at current time ! Let's say you want to share a moment at 9:59 in a video (for ease. 10min = 600s). Copying it will give you (youtube url)?t=599 . This is in seconds, and it will change up to &t=599s when you load the page. The real tip is here, for those who only really use mobile pages: you can add the timestamp to the end of your link manually, and much easier by adding it minutes and seconds to the end of your link, like so: (video url)&t=9m59s . And the final tip for today: on desktop, or requesting desktop site in your browser, you can go to the bottom of the description to find the Show Transcript button. This loads the whole transcript of the video to the side or below the player, with a search feature built in and searchable using find in page.
