Unbearable Pain
Sometimes, when life gives you a painful past it will be traumatic, until day by day, you didn't notice that it will change you. The unbearable pain can make you stronger and wiser.

āOnly I can change my life. No one can do it for me.ā

my current life situation:))
āSolitudeā
Her soul is craving for something that she canāt ignore,
Inner peace is what her heart is longing for.
Her mind is traveling,
Somewhere, where everything is dazzling.
Solitude is her freedom,
There is where she thinks about wisdom.

"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers."

FOUR-LEAF CLOVER
My friend Penelope always says that when you see a four-leaf clover, youāll likely be fortunate or be blessed. According to her, each leaf of the four-leaf clover signifies faith, hope, love, and luck. Though I always thought it was just a fable until I saw one and pinned it to the page of one of my favorite book.
Just last week I decided to go to my favorite place, thatās where I always go whenever I experience extreme sadness and stress. That place is so perfect and beautiful to meditate and unwind. It is windy out there and surrounded by trees. And when you glanced up, the whole city can be seen and it was such a breath-taking scenery with the blue sky and the bird dancing freely in the air. When I closed my eyes to breathe some fresh air, it felt like heaven and as I opened it thatās when I caught a peculiar green leaf. And Penelope suddenly crossed into my mind and realized it was the four-leaf clover she always tells me about. I approached it and picked it up silently wishing it would bring me luck. I immediately took my book and tucked it in the middle of its pages.
Monday, while Iām on my way to school, I decided to go to the convenience store first to buy something to eat. And when I was out of the store, I saw a child covered with dirt and was holding his stomach. From the looks of it, I can tell that heās a vagrant whoās very hungry. I approached the boy and gave him something to eat.
āHey child, this is for you,ā I said while handing him the food. His expression was happy and full of longing when he saw what I offered to him.
āThank you! I thought I would starve to death because I had not eaten anything for the past few days. Iām in luck today.ā He jovially said as if his hunger almost diminished.
āEat well, child.ā I smiled at him and soon leave.
The day passed and I went home. Iām quite in a good mood as I was one of the few students who got high marks in our exams. When I got home, I happily tell my parents about it.
āWow! Thatās great! All of our efforts are worth it because youāre studying very well.ā My dad happily said.
Iām pleased to see my parents very happy because somehow, I reciprocated their efforts and love for me.
Before I go to bed that night, I picked up my favorite book and looked at the four-leaf clover I tucked in its pages. Before going to bed I used to ponder on what had happened all day, and now I have realized something. Every day, my parents never failed to give me so much love and just understood how lucky I am to have them because my parents are willing to sacrifice everything just to secure my future and well-being. But luck seems not likely to happen if one does not try hard enough to achieve their goals. Just like what happened with my exams, I got high remarks because I worked hard on them. Also, the child I helped earlier, just felt happy and lucky to be alive. And so, I realized luck is not all about having a four-leaf clover or any myth that would bring you luck instead I thought it was because every day we feel love, faith, hope, and luck and we just sometimes donāt notice it. Other people can make us feel loved or vice-versa. We can give each other the same amount of love, faith, hope, and luck just like what I gave to the vagrant child and to my parents. Because I was worked so hard, I made other people happy and loved.
short story by: Hazel Anne A. Ruiz
Itās what they all think⦠like a philosopher, trying to figure out the meaning of life; what they fail to understand that itās not the meaning of life that matters but the worth of life, which is everything that actually makes a difference, that is, if it does at all, only if itās worth enoughā¦
- M.K (1942-2020)
āNoisesā
Inside of me is roaring,
While the rain outside is pouring.
The blasting sound inside my head,
It creeps me out on my bed.
I see the night sky without stars,
But inside of my room, I see everything including my scars.
I was shaking like a leaf,
It feels like my heart has been stolen by a thief.
Demons are coming,
In the dark wall, I was staring.
Noises become eerie,
Suddenly, my eyes become teary.
