IâD LOST THE EMAIL ADDRESS. IâVE FOUND IT! (obviously)
Bitch Vivi is back.
Hello Tumblr world! To whoever was wondering âwhere has that super cute Vivi gone off to? I so wanted to cuddle him!â hereâs the answer: mun was busy graduating. Now mun finally has her graphic designer bachelor and is a happy (although disoccupated atm) mun!
Now that mun finally has her life back (I was so busy that showering often got postponed to âthe day afterâ until I forgot the last day I actually had a shower), Tumblr is calling her with a heavenly quoir. Answers soon to come! This goes for beyondtheflyingbird, areapermostcapricious, wounded--warrior and meteor-shots.
Thank you for your patience!
(I donât know how common the laurel tradition is, but in Italy college graduates wear a crown made of bay leaves. Itâs a tradition that dates back to Roman days.)
Happy munday to everyone! This is mun and mundog in the Alpes. (Internet connession is terrible, but still better than it was in France last week, so expect those long lost replies soon!)
(Mun is the one on the right) In case you were wondering why I'm so damn slow in replying, wounded--warrior, areapermostcapricious and meteor-shots. In the evening I'm dead tired and with little to no wifi.
How I found your blog... Humm... I'm torn between "Tumblr suggested you to me" and "I spotted one of your early RP with my FFIX mates of back then". Probably the second though! Never regretted following you.
You probably saw me. Iâm so popular itâs no surprise. :)
For some reason I was sure I got here before you, but now I see you date back to January 30th 2014, while I date back only to July 21th 2014. I donât know why I had this thought o.O

Outside of my few smutty RPs with zinidyne-zidane, I consider Vivi and Zidane to be bros for life. Zidane was the youngest of Tantalus, he never had the chance to have a little brother. Vivi is so cute he triggered his pritective instinct, what was better than to guide a little boy in life? And Vivi... well, after Quan died, Vivi badly needed someone who cared after him. Zidane was the first person to boost Vivi's self confidence, asking for his help in his search for Garnet. They are so perfect!
Hello followers and friends! This is munday, and this is the munâs first take ever on eye photography!
How To Train Your Raptor
No one should play god if they could avoid it.
Especially not Sarah.
Call upon their aid â yes, but thatâs a different story. A thick sheathe lied between the idea of summoning beasts fabricated by legends and stories, or to raise one right from an egg. Gaia knew what monster this delicate shell held, although Sarah couldnât quite bring herself to bestow her hatchling with unfriendly terms such as. Unlike the elders of Madain Sari, she had expanded her sight beyond the narrowmindedness shared by many of the villagers. A seed of thought put there by the faults of their ancestors, growing deep roots over the course of centuries. No one wanted to repeat the mistakes of the old, and therefore, no one dared to think beyond the trapped space they had put themselves in.
Monsters are monsters. You fight them, you hunt them, you run from them â but you do not carry their eggs into your home and keep it warm. You do not help the monsters hatch.
Sarah knew she ought to put the egg back where she found it. She knew that grave danger may lay within the confines of the shell, and that she may have brought doom upon her village. But.. werenât those the stories parents told their kids to keep them safe? Stories the young summoner never had bought, not even when she was but a fledgling herself. The idea of untameable beasts laid beyond Sarahâs understanding â not when she was raised to call upon the help of Eidolons. If such a rare skill was possible, why shouldnât anyone be able to raise a mortal âmonsterâ, made of flesh and bone? If it grew among the side of humans, it may be used for great purpose. It could turn out to become a most loyal companion â maybe even more so than any animal out there.
These were the excuses she told herself to keep the egg close. From the moment she had found the lonesome thing in an abandoned nest, Sarah hardly wanted to part from it. Sheâd set it close to a fire and keep an eye on it during day and night. Her parents had grown wary of their daughterâs strange behaviour, but Sarah kept the egg a secret from them â it was a bit of a hardship, but the young woman managed. For two weeks, the little game of hide and seek played on, without any signs of hatching being noticed whatsoever.
When she nearly gave up on the idea of a living animal hatching from the egg, the first crack appeared in the pale shell. It happened in the middle of the night, and Sarah thought she was ready to pass out sitting right by the table â if it werenât for the faint, cracking noise that had the brunette attentive and awake in the timespan of a second. âBy the godsâ, she whispered to no one in particular â or maybe she did after all.
Sarah thought her heart was about to stop any second, too. With each growing crack and push against the protecting confines, the suspension grew and became nearly unbearable for the summoner. Sometimes, sheâd whisper and urge and tell the little thing that it was strong enough to break out of there. She braced herself for the first, true contact and mused just what sort of creature she had brought home here. At long last, it was the strong push of a muzzle that pushed a hole into the egg. While it was too dark for her to see, Sarah was convinced she had spotted scales. A reptile, then? What a good thing she had cut pieces of fresh meat as soon as the egg started cracking, then. The other option were vegetables, but⊠now she started to believe those would not be appreciated too much.
Brows furrowed in concentration. Any second now, and sheâd come face to face with her own little hatchling. Within her chest, Sarahâs heart was beating painfully fast.
âCome on, little friend. You can do it.â The whispered encouragement was working like a charm. As soon as the words tumbled from Sarahâs tongue, a tiny head broke through the shell. In the dim light of fire, scales shone like charcoal and granite. Slowly, a pair of golden eyes were blinking and trying to make sense of their surroundings. She swallowed thickly. The ground beneath her feet felt wobbly, for nothing impacted as hard onto the summoner as the truth of knowing what she had carried home.
A raptor. The most dangerous predator out there, and probably, the last, too.
For there was a reason people have given their lives trying to erase them from the planet.
The light was stronger than he had thought it could be and it blinded him for a couple of heartbeats. He didn't like that. He opened his mouth and discovered he could voice his disapproval. It was only a feeble noise, but he liked how sounded. He did it again.
Blinking rapidly, his vision soon cleared. There was a great source of light and warmth just in front of him, but he soon discovered that staring right at it was uncomfortable. He craned his neck to look up and around him, feeling the hard shell around him crack a little bit more with each movement he did.
Something moved in the corner of his eye and he snapped his head to look in that direction - only to let out another cry, this time of joy. A creature, much, much bigger than him bent over him, towering over him, and yet he wasn't scared. It was protection, it was mother, it was father! It was safety, and it would look after him.
He warbled again, fighting against the casing. He bent his neck to fit his muzzle under the shell and pushed up, breaking another piece of the hard matter. Now that he had more space, he fit his shoulders into the hole and stroke the inside of the shell with his upper limbs. There! His upper body was now free, but his frantic movements caused the shell to capsize. He squeaked in surprise at the strange feeling, but he quickly accustomed to being horizontal and concentrated on kicking with his lower limbs to free himself.
Finally free, he looked up at motherfather, feeling reassured that it was still there. He had to go to motherfather before it went away and left him there! He propped himself up with his muzzle and his short arms, trying to put both legs underneath him. He wriggled until it felt right and pushed with his feet, pushing his body upright. His head felt too heavy and he almost fell forward, but on instinct his tail lashed out to balance the weight and he was once again up, though not steady.
Wobbling, he lifted a foot and put it in front of the other, looking up at motherfather. I'm here, I'm ready!
On a not so auspicious tree, shaded by the leaves, Zidane Tribal slept soundly, his tail overhanging the branches. He had found a quiet spot to take a rest during his travels, and would have continued to do so, had something not awoken himâŠ
âWhaâŠ?â
Sunny days were made to stay outside, so Vivi had decided to take his experiments out of his workshop and into the sun. After all, when it came to testing flashy destructive spells, outside was better. Less things that could catch fire (like his hat. Yes, that happened, but nobody needed to know it.)Â
A round target under his arm, Vivi walked until found a suitable tree and hung his target - painted with concentric red circles - on the lower branch. Bouncing like a kid with a new toy, Vivi retreated a few yards. He had just gotten a new mage staff, and wanted to test its accuracy!Â
âAlright⊠Steady, aimâŠâ âFire!â  He swung the staff and threw a perfect sphere of fire, that crashed right into the centre of his target. âYay!â
Before Zidane could tell what was happening, he felt something rather hot beneath him. For an absurd moment, heâd thought he was dreaming that he was on the inside of Quinaâs oven - but his misty dream became reality as the heat became all too real. Suddenly, Zidane realised his tail was on fire.
âYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!â
With a rather effeminate shriek, Zidane gracelessly fell from the tree, quickly stood, and hopped from one foot to the other as his burning tail throbbed and thrashed. Clearly, his panic in seeing his tail on fire had stopped his brain from logically remembering to stop, drop and roll, and so he flailed about uselessly, until he spotted a despondent Vivi a few feet away. Unconsciously deciphering that the mage was the cause for the fire, Zidane quickly instructed the mage -Â âV-Vivi!! Water!!â
âWHOA!â Vivi started so hard he fell on his bum. Nothing could have prepared Vivi for the unholy shriek Zidane did as he fell from the very tree Vivi had used for target practise!
Vivi stared dumbfounded at his friend for a long second, eyes wide open, before Zidaneâs cry spurred him into motion. âW-Water! Y-Yes, water! S-Sorry Zidane!â Vivi jumped upright and ran towards his flailing friend, holding his hat in place with one hand and pointing his staff at Zidane with the other. âWater!,â he cried, and a fountain of water sprang from the staff to douse Zidane. âSorry sorry sorry!â
Too far from Home
The strangely dressed kid was a little stranger than Zack had realized from further back. Â He didnât really know what to make of it, honestlyâthe glowing eyes seemed to indicate some sort of mako enhancement, but he didnât know what to make of the rest of it. Heâd never seen the style of clothing before either, even on all his travels with Shinra. Â But the little guy was well armed with a mageâs staff that looked like it could do some serious clubbing damage too, and, apparently, he was not a kid.
âOh! Â Sorry,â Zack replied cheerfully. Â âMy bad. Â From a distance, I thought you were just a little guy, out here all on his own. Â Thereâs monsters and all around here, pretty dangerous, so I didnât want to leave a kid to his own devices, you know. Â Wouldnât be right.â
He wondered if this guy was another traveler through the plains or if he was just from the neighboring village. Â With just a compass, he wasnât exactly sure where he was.
âIâm Zack, by the way. Â Are you from the village?â he asked, waving a hand to indicate the nearby town. Â âIâm just passing on through, but Iâm not quite sure where Iâve ended up.â Â He should probably stop for some supplies either way, though.
Vivi cocked his head, blinking curiously at the man. "I'm Vivi." As shy as Vivi was, the Black Mage couldn't help but like Zack. He had an easy smile, and his blue eyes reminded Vivi of Zidane. "I can d-deal with the monsters, I think." He was homesick, he missed his friends so much! The sheepish smile the man gave him as he spoke, shuffling his feet, told Vivi the man was just as lost as him, and a bit embarrassed at the thought. Well, Vivi could relate with that.
Vivi opened his pack and fished his map out, hesitantly handing it out to Zack. "I-I'm travelling as well and I t-think I'm a bit lost too." He got on his tiptoes and pointed at a river. "I t-tried to follow this river upstream, so t-this-" Vivi pointed at a little dot without a name "-should be this village? B-But I'm not sure."
The Black Mage looked up, hoping the man could help him find his way as well as find his own.
7th Heaven
He nodded, giving him a smile. âAlright, fine by me.â As long as they werenât threating or seemed too rude to him, Cloud would offer someone a place to stay if they needed one. âKid or not, you donât have pay. Itâs just how it goes here. Okay? Donât worry about it.â
Cloud almost couldnât take how cute this person was. It took a lot for Cloud to think someone was cute. It was only limited to the kids, chocoboâs and a certain someone else. âVivi? Nice to meet you. Iâm..Cloud.â He went to go and open the door, entering while holding the door open for him. âSo, this is the main floor, the bar, but upstaires is where the roomâs are. Should I show you to one now?â
He didnât know if he should offer him food, if he was hungry he was sure that Vivi would ask him. âAlso, beware if the kids come and tackle you. They are friendly I promise. Just warning you.â He gave a small nervous laugh, and he scanned the bar. The kids didnât seem to be anywhere in sight, they were probably upstairs in their rooms.
Vivi followed the man - Cloud, he said - with a happy bounce in his step. He honestly hadn't expected to find such a nice person in such a dark and gloomy city!
Cloud stopped just inside the room and Vivi peered from behind him. The bar was well-lit, clean, and not as noisy as he feared. Sure, there were a few men and a woman chatting and laughing, sitting on high stools at the counter, and the radio in the corner was turned up fairly loud, but it wasn't any worse than the usual noise in Treno.
Vivi debated the pro and cons of going to sleep right away. "I t-think I'll stay up a bit more, if that is a-alright." He wasn't really tired, so he could hold that off for later. He was going to sleep all day anyway, so he could indulge into knowing his new friend better. "A-And I like kids! I hope I'll meet them." If there were kids, if was proof that is wasn't a bad place. Mind set, he tilted his head up and smiled at Cloud. "Do you have f-food?," he asked hopeful. It was true he could have gone without food for another day, but he wasn't about to let a chance to eat a full meal in peace pass like that.
"A-and I want to pay for it. T-The room as well, really," Vivi tried again, shyly.
A dangerous game
As always, he was met with such sour words.
Rude.
âHush, Mage,â he stated firmly, playfulness dropping abruptly, voice growing more serious now. âI have no desire to break out the thumbscrews in order to have a decent conversation with you. I merely desire a brief visit with you in order to establish the goings-on amongst your clan, as well as your former traveling companions. It has been difficult to keep myself in the know, you see, what with all the running about Iâve been doing latelyânothing more.
âBut⊠if you are so reluctant to play along with me⊠why donât we make a bit of a wager, hmm?â
He flicked a hand, sleeve billowing outward, and a series of Tetra Master cards appeared, seemingly from a hiding place within. Not real cards won fairly, of course, but illusions he had magically generated from what few images he had seen on the faces of cards he had seen in the past.
But Vivi need not know that.
âYou win, and I shall leave you alone. But if I win,â a smirk, âyouâll get to put up with me for as long as I wish.â
Vivi blinked at the cards deck in Kuja's hands, then looked up at him, dumb folded. Playing a game of Tetra Master was so... So mundane that the offer, coming from Kuja's lips, threw him off completely. He would have thought card games to be below Kuja. Vivi would have never imagined the man to act that civil with him, "lowering" himself to Vivi's level simply in order to... to talk?
Vivi blinked some more, cocking his head sideways, then minutely nodded. Maybe Zidane was right, and Kuja had changed, at least a little. He fished his own Tetra Master deck from his pocket. He really didn't want to have to talk to Kuja more than the strict necessary, but this was surely better than battling in the middle of the Card Stadium.
Speechless, Vivi tilted his head towards a nearby empty table, waiting for Kuja to sit first. Show of good will or not, he still wasn't going to show his back to Kuja anytime soon.
On a not so auspicious tree, shaded by the leaves, Zidane Tribal slept soundly, his tail overhanging the branches. He had found a quiet spot to take a rest during his travels, and would have continued to do so, had something not awoken himâŠ

Oh, the mun's theme music? Now, that's easy. The song that represents me the most is "I want it all (and I want it now)" by Queens. Patience and me go along as well as porcupines and balloons.
