Project Idea (alternative to written test):

Student records a reading of Beowulf, abridged, in the persona of an 11th century skop. They are encouraged to modernize the persona, such as in @elodieunderglass's streamer skop, but other options may be accepted at teacher's discretion (Tiktok series, 1940s radio serial, Blues Clues, French mime, etc).

Teacher must craft a rubric to guide students on how to abridge the story without sacrificing necessary themes and story points. Student's performance will be to the whole class, whose rating of the performance will factor into student's grade.
