I saw someone say that Izzy has been fated to spend an eternity buried in his ‘abusive ex’s front yard like a dead pet,’ and that the show murdered an elderly disabled queer drag performer who was already a survivor of a suicide attempt, without any fanfare, and that alone justifies any abuse the writers are now getting for killing Izzy off.
Ed and Izzy are not canon. There is absolutely nothing to suggest they have ever had a sexual relationship of any kind. Stating otherwise is writing your own revisionist history.
Con is in his 50s. Elderly? Fuck right off with that nonsense. That’s just plain offensive.
Izzy doing bearded drag was beautiful and cathartic but that doesn’t make him a drag queen any more than Ed catching one fish made him a fisherman.
He was disabled, yes, but the way that is being framed as a major part of his identity one week after the amputation happened is reductive and takes away all of his agency.
Izzy was an asshole, he was damaged, he was a fucking admitted sado masochist and that’s what made him such a great character to watch. It’s not the Izzy show, folks. You got to see your queer villain become a queer hero. Celebrate that.
Grow the fuck up and leave the writers out of fandom nonsense. That’s unhinged clown behaviour.
