part one
âI canât believe how bad you suck at Scrabble in every single timeline, my love,â Five laughed, shaking his head in disbelief as you threw a wooden piece at him over the table, offended to say the least;
âI canât believe what a piece of shit you are in every timeline!â
âOh, sheâs also a sore loser in every timeline!â
As you threw yet another wooden piece at the man before you, you couldnât help but get infected with his contagious laugh and burst into giggles as well. Five was smiling from ear to ear, as he was heavily laughing, with a hand over his chest, as his other one was resting peacefully on top of yours on the table.
You were sitting on the rug, on each side of the coffee table in your living room. It was a peaceful Thursday night, and you didnât really have anything planned. You worked all day, so you figured that a glass of wine and some chocolate to snack on while watching a movie would be a decent end of the day, but a couple knocks on your door changed that.
It had been a while since you met Five, a couple of weeks maybe. Nothing short of a miracle helped you save the world for good this time, but thatâs a story for another time. Things were actually looking up for you, as the Hargreeves siblings were all safe in one piece, as well as your own parents. Viktor was visiting you in the States a lot more often, Allison, Klaus and Claire resumed their day to day lives, Luther was trying to reabilitate the old mansion for good this time and actually own it, Ben and Jennifer were happily together, as Diego and Lila were doing their best to save their marriage for the sake of their three children.
As for Five, last you heard he was still in the CIA, but that was about it.
The Five from your timeline, that was.
The Five standing in front of you, he was an entirely different story.
After he comforted you the day you and Five broke up, you tried to prioritize your interests and went back to help the family stop the apocalypse. In spite of how much you wanted to just lay in his arms until you went completely numb, you knew that if thatâs where you were meant to be, youâd find your way back eventually.
And you did.
âFuck me, that was draining,â You rubbed your face, falling onto the dusty leather couch with a loud thud, next to Allison.
âYouâd think we would get the hang of it by now,â She sarcastically said, letting her head fall on your shoulder.
âIf thereâs a fifth apocalypse, letâs just let it happen,â Klaus suggested, as some of you couldnât help but nod in agreement.
âAt least this one wasnât Viktorâs fault,â Luther pointed out, making Viktor waive his arms;
âExcuse me?â
âIâm swear Iâm gonna kill myself,â Ben rolled his eyes bored as ever. On the surface, that was.
âJesus Christ, what the fuck?â Lila raised her brows at the man.
âDo it later, we literally just saved your sorry ass,â Five pointed out.
âAnd to think that after all this shit, on Monday Iâm back to delivering packagesâŠâ Diego deeply sighed, as you all turned to judge him.
The nine of you were standing in the middle of the old mansion, trying to catch your breath after your hardest efforts yet to save the world. It was a mixture of everyoneâs powers, a droplet of a miracle and lots of yelling around, but eventually you did it. You could finally breathe again and not worry that tomorrow may not come.
However, it didnât mean that you werenât suffering anymore. You tried your everything to keep your composure around the Five from your timeline and Lila, since apparently even Diego was willing to make amends. He loved his brother and his kids far too much, as well as his wife. He was willing to put it all behind, after all, you were given a second chance and he was not going to waste it.
âAm I going crazy or is that another Five?â Klaus pointed towards the main entrance to the living room, as your Five walked in with a slight smile across his lips and his hands in his pockets;
âI wouldnât have bet my last two cents that you idiots would have actually managed to save the universe.â
âAsshole,â You giggled, getting up to run instantly into his arms.
Five was taken aback by your sudden excitement for a mere second, as he stumbled a step back, but not wasting another second to wrap his arms around your waist. He walked you back from the diner to the train station that would take you back to Five, and eventually back to your timeline a couple hours ago, but if you were to be honest it felt like forever since the last time you saw him. In spite of being literally yet not really the man who crushed your heart that day, you found such an intense comfort in him, it was stupid.
You were still grieving your old relationship, you were still heartbroken over what had happened. Six years with Five on your side were not that easy to get over, but this one truly helped you feel better. He was so thoughtful, so sweet and kind, yet sarcastic and sassy, he was totally your perfect match, which was insane since you thought that your ex-boyfriend of six years would be your soulmate.
âI hate you,â You declared, crossing your arms over your chest, âYou have no business making fun of me- youâre like a hundred years old.â
âDonât- Donât go there and make it awkward,â Five instantly said, raising his hands in front of you, âYouâre making me feel like a pervert.â
âAs you should,â You lightly shrugged your shoulders, watching as he rolled his eyes playfully.
The two of you started spending a considerable amount of time together lately, as he managed to make himself comfortable in your timeline. He couldnât remember the last time he was so happy, not only because he had lost his own Y/N, but he also hadnât seen his siblings in such a long time. In his timeline, they didnât manage to save themselves after Reggie reset the timeline at Hotel Oblivion, so getting his family back in a way was surreal to him as well.
Five felt alive again and it was all because of you.
All because he stumbled upon the love of his life that day in the subway system, the same woman who brought him back to his family. Maybe they werenât actually the ones from his timeline, but they were his family nonetheless.
âOkay, one more round so I can shut your trash mouth again,â Five declared, straightening his jacket, as he leant over the table to rearrange the board.
âI can think of another way you can shut my trash mouth,â You smirked, leaning forward on the table as well, resting your weight on your elbows.
The two of you took things surprisingly slow. You couldnât deny the instant connection, after all- you were a couple in every single timeline. But you couldnât help the need to avoid the rush. Sure, you held hands sometimes and bump your knees under the table, or he would place wild strands of hair behind your ears and you would sometimes fix his tie for him. You also tended to share tight hugs that lasted maybe a second too long, or linger some touched here and there, but you neither of you ever had the courage to bring it up in a discussion.
You had never even kissed.
âMy, my, is my little Y/N getting impatient?â Five mimicked your smirk, lightly grabbing your chin between his index and thumb.
One thing you knew for sure was that you didnât have feelings anymore for your ex-boyfriend. There was no doubt about that. You just didnât feel it would be wise to jump into another relationship so soon with his doppelgĂ€nger, but after these past few weeks you were so done waiting.
If thereâs one thing you learned from saving the world one too many times it definitely was that you should not be wasting precious seconds.
âArenât you?â You asked, looking into his eyes, trying to figure out where he stood on all this.
âIâd wait for you decades, darling,â Five confessed, running his thumb across your bottom lip in a gentle manner.
He loved the feel of you, every square inch of your body- he couldnât get enough of it. He would touch anywhere possible, he wanted to pepper kisses along every part of you, but he did mean every word he said. He did want to wait for you for as long as you needed until you were ready to be with him, truly.
âPromise?â You couldnât help but wonder, as Five let go of your chin to put some fallen strands of hair behind your ears, âWould you actually wait for me?â
âItâs not even up for debate,â He nodded, getting up from the floor, straightening his three piece suit.
He offered you his hands, as he lifted you to your feet as well. You didnât know exactly if your legs were numb because of how long youâd been sitting crisscrossed on the floor, or simply because the man before you made your knees weak with one smile, but you knew for certain that you never wanted this night to end.
Five cupped your cheeks in his hands, as you naturally rested your hands on his chest. You were so smitten by him, but in all fairness- how could you not be? He was doing everything right, giving you all the love he had and a bit more extra, while still being his true sassy self that you loved so much.
âKiss me, please,â You whispered, looking into his beautiful eyes, feeling as you were slowly losing yourself into the moment.
Five smiled as he leaned in slowly to give your lips a light peck, as careful and attentive as possible. His long fingers found their way into your hair, as your own arms wrapped around his neck to pull him in closer. He took that as his cue to go in for a more passionate kiss, capturing your lips with his in just a matter of seconds, losing his whole being in that moment to wrap himself around your pinky finger.
Anything you wanted, he would go through the ends of the world to get it for you- and that was an understatement.

summary: you and the hargreeves siblings start your rescue mission
âWell, you all certainly look shittier than the other,â You crossed your arms awkwardly, watching the seven Hargreeves siblings as they were all clutching onto their bodies, sprawled across what used to be the fancy mansion that they grew up in.
Now it was just looking as beat down as your family.
âYouâre fucked up in the head,â Ben groaned, making you roll your eyes.
âComing from the dipshit who roofied his siblings with space juice⊠thatâs a big statement,â Diego mumbled, as the others nodded in agreement.
After Gracieâs birthday party, you intended to go back to the office and catch up on some paperwork. The current case you were working on was truly a pain in the ass. Ever since you started working on it a couple of months ago, you didnât think that anything else was more important than trying to win it. Boy, were you wrong.
You intended to leave the party a bit earlier, so thatâs exactly what you did. Even if you felt like you couldnât get enough of bantering with the family, playing with Gracie and most specially, talking to Five, you eventually dragged yourself back to the car and drove back to work. You needed that gathering, you truly did- in spite of the inevitably awkward moments.
Thatâs why when Five called you to inform to that Viktor got kidnapped, you didnât hesitate to drive back to the mansion and regroup with the siblings to rescue their brother. One thing led to another, you managed to save him and even celebrate after that, but it wouldnât be a Hargreeves mission without something going sideways.
âWe have to get going, asshats,â Five reminded you all, stroking his hair.
You wanted to comfort him, as your heart sunk watching the dark circles around his eyes. His skin was as pale as a ghost, and he was groaning lightly through heavy breaths. His long fingers were running through his messy hair, as his other hand was holding the marigold jar loosely.
You always thought how stupid it was that you could just look at him for hours, just because he was so pretty. He could be doing nothing, you still couldnât get enough of him.
This is so embarrassing, itâs been six years, you thought to yourself, looking away exactly as he caught a glimpse of your stare, Besides, he looks like he is dying. Handsomely, but dying, nonetheless.
The same man who kidnapped Viktor last night entrusted you with a rescue mission to bring his daughter back home. You decided not to pursue it, eventually, and before you went your separate ways, you all had a shot of Sake, ushered by Ben.
The rest is history.
Point is, everyone seemed to have their powers back.
âShotgun,â You raised a hand, as the seven siblings started cussing at you on your way to Diego and Lilaâs van.
You felt very nostalgic, since so many years passed without being with everyone. It was bittersweet, but you tried to promise to yourself to not get too attached. You liked your current life, and as lovely as it was spending time with Five, that led to nowhere. It was just a stupid little crush, anyway.
The family van was parked in front of the building, right in front of your car, so Diego started moving some thing into your car trunk to make room for everyone. Allison and Klaus were talking to Claire on the phone, as Ben, Luther and Lila were bickering about the sconces and Viktor was still trying to calm his nerves.
âYou okay?â You placed your hand on Fiveâs shoulder, feigning a confident smile.
You were honestly so concerned for them, all of them.
âJust the most annoying hangover in my life,â Five placed his hand on yours absentmindedly.
Maybe it wasnât that big of a deal, he appreciated your concern, he always did. When he got hurt in missions you were always scolding him and he acted annoyed with your protectiveness, but this was the first time he actually showed gratitude for it.
âBut you donât gotta get all up in my ass,â He added with a smirk, taking your hand off his shoulder.
There it was.
He still held onto it, proudly, as you rolled your eyes, not even noticing how naturally your hands locked together.
âOh please, youâd love me to get all up on you,â You scoffed, making him chuckle.
âSince when are you so arrogant?â He wondered.
âI may have picked up a thing or two from you over the years,â You shrugged your shoulders lightly.
âShouldâve picked up the phone more often,â Five said, causing you to wave a hand in front of your face bored of how many times youâve been told that;
âThe phone thatâŠâ
âWorks both ways,â He interrupted you, âYeah, yeah.â
âThen you donât really have a leg to stand on,â You declared with a smile.
âIs that right?â He took a step closer, eyeing you curiously.
If you were to ask him where did that come from, he really had no idea what to say. Five always was unpredictable, but this was something new. But then again, itâs not like your relationship was that cold- it wasnât. However, he was playing with fire a tad too much.
It all felt so ridiculous. How could he still make your heart thump heavily just with a simple look? You felt so little compared to him, as hard as you tried to seem confident. With the help of your platform boots you were still almost reaching his chin, and that was to show you just how young you both still were, even if your mental ages begged to differ.
âYou still look like shit,â You broke the ice, still trying to keep up a tough exterior.
âBullshit,â Five grinned, obviously feeling a lot better.
Little did you know how much your simple presence helped his mental well-being.
Surprisingly, he thought to himself.
âAre you two gonna suck faces or can we move along?â Ben suddenly walked up to you and his brother, as the rest of the family was watching everything unfold as if it was a soap opera.
âWhyâd you wanna watch your brother kiss someone?â You wondered, letting go of Fiveâs hand to climb into the car along the others.
âThatâs not okay,â Klaus agreed.
âYouâre getting weirder by the second,â Allison told Ben, as he tried to argue.
âWhat the fuck?â Diego turned to watch his brother disgusted, as Viktor was just silently side-eyeing the tentacle man.
âI fucking hate you all,â Ben said defeated, looking around the car.
âAt least they donât wanna watch their fresh 19 year old brother eat tongue,â You couldnât help the banter.
âDonât say fresh 19,â Luther chimed in as well, as the siblings turned to you now.
âHe is 64, nothing about him is fresh,â Klaus pointed out.
âShut the fuck up, fuckface,â Five only rolled his eyes.
âFancy seeing you here,â You crossed your arms, trying to act natural as the boy before you eyes you curiously.
âIn front of the CIA headquarters?â Five mimicked your posture, âJee, Y/N, fork spotted in the kitchen. What are you doing at my work place?â
You sighed, trying to fight back the urge of rolling your eyes. You were lying to yourself if you wanted to say that Fiveâs sarcasm actually annoyed you. After all, it was one of the traits you loved about him- surprisingly. You hated to admit it, even to yourself, but even if you were actually waiting for him to talk business, you never once missed an opportunity to meet him.
Especially if you werenât surrounded by your noisy family. The Hargreeves siblings became your family by choice, and as much as you loved each and every single one of them, you couldnât help but appreciate deeply the one on one time you got to spend with Five.
âI just got off the phone with Luther,â You said, putting your hands in your pockets, âViktor got kidnapped, Five.â
As soon as those words eat your lips, you saw Fiveâs expression go from cocky to shocked, to worried and then to shocked once again. You hated you had to be the one to break these news to him, after six years of peace where all of you managed to live normal lives. You hated that you had to see him worried again for his familyâs safety, but you had no other choice.
You all had to reunite to save your loved one.
âIâll drive,â Five nodded, already realizing that the gang would have to get back together.
You and Five met during the JFK mission in 1963, when both of you were working for the Commission. You only heard of him around the work place, but never actually worked together. The Handler assigned you both for the first time to get the assassination done, but one thing led to another and you accidentally woke up in 2019, in your teen body, alongside him.
The rest is history.
As you got into his car, you watched him as he started the engine in silence. He was deep into thought, obviously worried half to death about his brother. You were as well, since Viktor was his first sibling you warmed up to, and honestly it felt surreal that he was in danger again, after six years.
Six years where nothing, and quite literally nothing out of the ordinary happened. After your third attempt at stopping the apocalypse and the Hargreeves losing their powers, you all moved on with your lives, keeping in touch now and then. All nine of you went separate ways, rebuilding your lives. Allison was back to acting, Klaus was finally sober, Diego and Lila were a family with kids, Viktor was running a bar and Luther was working somewhat as an astronaut. Key word, somewhat.
Five became a CIA agent and you were running a marketing agency, so you really only saw the family on holidays or random gatherings. You and him kept in touch the most. You were happy to say that he was your best friend, but sad that nothing more went on. If you were supposed to be together, you would have been by now.
After all, there was this drunken kiss you shared on the night of Lutherâs wedding.
âShut the fuck up, Hargreeves!â You giggled, pointing a finger m at him, âI respect Delores, I swear I do, but I do not understand why in the world she would put up with your ding dong face, honestly.â
âOh, spare me the reverse psychology in which your jealousy lays, Y/N,â Five smirked, softly waving away your finger in his face.
You were the only ones left on the dance floor, intoxicated over the safe limit. After the whole family went to sleep, the two of you were still left quite energized. You didnât know if it was because you were sixty year olds back in your teen bodies, or simply too drunk to realize how hyperactive you were, but you were not about to end the night any time soon.
You couldnât exactly pinpoint the moment you fell in love with Five, but he definitely could write an entire book of how he grew feelings for you. It all happened at such a slow pace, how could he not? When he first met you in 1963 at the Dealey Plaza, he was immediately taken aback by your quick wit and intellect. He also didnât think someone who looked so sweet and elegant, like the grandma who would take her grandchildren all the time to fancy restaurants and then bake fresh cookies for them at home, could also be a trained assassin, ready to fight off three people at once wearing dresses and heels.
It was love at first sight for him.
Then, when you kept Delores safe from Hazel and Cha Cha, he realized just how big your heart was. He was completely blown away by the way you held onto the mannequin with one arm, while dodging attacks incoming from both of them.
There was also this moment in 1963 when you held him in your arms after he went on a spree, taking out the entire board of the Commission.
He was so infatuated with every single action of yours, so deeply and intensely in love it was actually pathetic to him, to some degree. Now, as his hands were firmly gripping your waist, swaying your hips in sync to the melody on the speakers, all he wanted to do was feel your lips on his, for a first and last time.
âWhatâs on your mind?â You asked, as your arms were wrapped around his neck. You didnât know when you got so close to one another, it was all just so natural.
âIronically enough, you,â He scoffed, making you roll your eyes;
âOnly you could make such a romantic comment and at the same time make me want to stomp on your face, Five,â You said amused, shaking your head in disbelief.
Five laughed, looking into your eyes. In his drunken state, he was not thinking rationally as he usually did anymore. He didnât know for certain if heâd make it out of the apocalypse this time, and after the two attempts at saving the world, the regret of not tasting you was finally getting to him.
He moved his hands up your sides, resting them on your cheeks at last. Rubbing your face gently, Five leaned in to capture your lips, tasting the alcohol you shared all night. You were relieved to finally feel his touch you so deeply craved over the months spent together, pulling him even closer, as if that was possible.
That led to nowhere, unfortunately, as neither of you ever mentioned it again. Like little stupid kids, all these years you both assumed that the other didnât remember that part, since no one ever brought it up ever again.
âViktor will be fine, Five,â You broke the silence, watching as his knuckles turned white while gripping the steering wheel, waiting for the green light.
âI just forgot how fucking stressful all this shit was,â Five sighed, letting go, but not looking at you yet, âSo stupid.â
âHey,â You placed a hand on top of his, âWe will rescue him and go back to our lives before, okay? Who knows, maybe itâs not even that serious- maybe itâs just some misunderstanding or a real easy mission. We stopped the apocalypse three times, I think some amateur kidnapping will be a walk in the park, okay? Besides, maybe by the time we get there, Viktor will have already handed their asses to each other.â
Five scoffed amused. You did always manage to be the voice of reason in his life whenever the over-thinking got the best of him.
You didnât have any idea just how grateful he was for you.
request: Hello! This is my first time desperately requesting a fic because the new season is SO bad đ Can you write a fic where the reader finds out about everything that happened between Five & Lila and then she gets taken away by one of the Fives at the deli and promising her that heâll treat her better than OG Five (You can also add a part where OG Five finds out about this and lives to regret it)
a/n: AU where everything in that trash season was the same, except when five made the first jump in s1 he made it in his 32 yr old body bc i will not have y/n pull a zach justice (lmao)
even if lila did đđ
anyways basically everyone is the same age
i like to think of the five that comforts y/n as the five that explained everything to five in the last episode because that one literally felt like the five we were supposed to get, the five that was there all the first three seasons
sorry i cant stop trashing this season you guys đ iâm just so disappointed
summary: after breaking up with five, you make up with⊠well, five
part two
âLeave me alone, Five!â You yelled in despair, pushing the man before you away, âActually, first take me back home, you psycho! I have nothing to say to you!â
âY/N, please, just hear me out!â Five tried to reason with you, as if anything he would say could make your heart glue itself back.
You were standing in the subway station after Five had blinked himself and you away from the family- or what was left of it, watching him at loss of words. You didnât recognize the man before your eyes, as much as you tried. You didnât even have time to gather all your thoughts since there was yet another impending apocalypse on its way, so your mind was completely all over the place.
Five Hargreeves was not the same Five Hargreeves you fell in love with all those years ago. He was not the same man who had stolen your heart and made you feel like you were the most precious person in the world. He wasnât your partner anymore, he wasnât your lover. Your boyfriend wasnât there. You looked at this person and there was a stranger, acting as if he was the same who had hugged you, held your hand, kissed you all those many times. You were questioning everything about him now.
âTake me back!â You yelled again, ignoring his same pleas, curling your hand in a fist, âIâm this fucking close to making you ash!â
As your pure anger got the best of you, you were ready to let your powers take over for a second. Obviously you werenât actually going to hurt him, no matter how much you wanted him to feel your pain, at least physically.
You met him six years ago, during the first time you tried to stop the apocalypse. You were also one of the extraordinary kids, but luckily enough, Reginald Hargreeves didnât manage to adopt you- more so, purchase you. You only met Five not long after he managed to time travel back to his family in 2019 after spending all those decades by himself. Before you knew it, you were dragged into the Hargreeves family and your relationship soon after developed.
Your six year relationship that was so merry a few hours ago. Now it was crumbled, trashed.
What hurt was that it was six years only to you. Five managed to block himself seven years away from you, only in the presence of Lila.
âThis is so fucking stupid,â You scoffed, fighting back the tears in your eyes, âItâs fucking over! Do you want me to spell it out for you?!â
âI want you to listen!â Five didnât give up on arguing, âI thought Iâd never see you again!â
âYou didnât want to see me again!â You screamed, wailing your hands in the air, âFucking save it- Itâs over! I donât want to ever see you again if we survive this apocalypse! You ruined our relationship, you ruined your brotherâs marriage, family! For fucking Lila!â
You hated him absolutely. The mere thought of his infidelity, of the nerve to act as if he still loved you, it was all despicable.
You grew to love all of your boyfriendâs siblings, and also your nieces and nephews, even if you and Five were not yet married. You planned to be a part of the family officially, but still wanted to focus on your careers, you wanted to adjust yourself to your old life, back to your origins.
âY/N, please!â He tried to step, towards you, but you started stepping away.
Thoughtlessly, because of all your anger, you just walked towards the first train approaching you, fully intending to be away from him at whatever cost.
âIf you donât want to take me back, Iâll fucking find my own way!â You hopped onto the train, watching as he tried to catch up with you.
But he was too late.
In hindsight, maybe it was not the smartest idea, but you were just so devastated nothing made sense to you anymore. You spent the past six years thinking that you are set for the rest of your life, now that the world wasnât ending anymore. You reconnected with your family, you built a career for yourself and were living happily with Five, you had literally just finished settling yourself in the new house you bought together. You couldnât understand how he could do this to you.
You couldnât understand how Lila could betray your friendship either, especially Diego and their kids.
You tried to make it make sense, be reasonable- it was only a few hours to you, but they were lost in this subway system for seven years.
But then again, Five was lost in the future 45 years by himself and he didnât give up on trying to return to his family once.
Now he did, he gave up on trying to return to you.
Thatâs definitely another aspect that stung.
âFucking piece of shit,â You mumbled, as the train approached its first station, âHow do I fucking get out of here?â
You stumbled out of the sub, taking in your surroundings. It was yet another crumbled down station, but if you were to be at least a tiny bit fair, it was maybe a bit better kept. You looked around curiously, trying to figure out where to go from now on. Your fire-based superpowers were totally useless in this situation, so you hated to admit that you were in a bit of a pickle.
You rolled your eyes, as Five rounded the corner and stopped in his tracks, watching you with widened eyes.
âYou again?â You sighed angrily, âTake me back or get out of my sight, Five.â
Five raised his brows, putting his hands in his pockets curiously. He didnât say a word yet, as a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He slowly stepped towards you, not taking his eyes off you once. For a split second, you stopped as well, sending that something was up.
You took in his features, trying to make sense of what was going on, realizing that he didnât have a coat on him. He was wearing the exact three piece suit an black tie, he was wearing the same silver watch on his left hand, but he didnât have his coat on.
âY/N,â He smiled, stopping in front of you, âI never thought Iâd see you again, more so here.â
âWhat the fuck is going on?â You calmly asked, over-analyzing the man before you.
His smile didnât drop. It was a genuine one, a smile you hadnât seen in a while. Things between you and Five were okay a few hours ago, but he hadnât watched you with this look since you first met. His eyes were sincere, taking in every single feature of yours, traveling all over your body.
âI take it your Five danced the devilâs tango with Lila,â He sighed deeply, raising a hand to gently brush away your tears.
When did you even start crying?
Your mind was scrambled all over the place, but at that exact moment you couldnât say another word. You just melted into his touch, feeling warmth. It really hadnât been that long since Five touched you, but this touch felt different. His hand rested on your cheek, as his thumb caressed you lightly. His touch was so intoxicatingly sweet, sending shivers down your spine.
âIâm so sorry Iâm a literal shitface in some other timelines,â He lightly shook his head, âIâm so sorry.â
âWhat is going on?â You asked once again, calmer this time.
For whatever reason, you relaxed in an instant. You couldnât tell if it was because of his gentle touch or simply his presence. Ironic, since just ten minutes ago you were ready to set him on fire.
âCome with me, my love,â Five said, grabbing your hand in his, âIâll explain everything.â
You didnât fight his touch, locking your fingers with his. None of you said a word, as you watched you hands fit so perfectly in one another. How could your relationship be over when you were so good together?
You followed Five through the subway station, rounding the same corner he appeared from. You watched as he turned his head to give you a reassuring smile, lightly squeezing your hand in comfort.
After a few more steps and going down a couple of stairs, you widened your eyes seeing a literal deli tucked away in this godforsaken out of order subway system. The headlights above the front entrance were lit up, writing Maxâs Delicatessen. You saw inside a huddle of people as you entered, gathering everyoneâs attention.
When they all turned to look at you, you literally couldnât tell whether you or the huddle of people was more shocked.
They were all Fives.
There was music playing inside, as the deli was full of different versions of your boyfriend, whether they were customers sitting at the tables, drinking coffee or having a meal, reading the newspaper or having a chat. There were also other Fives working around, waiting tables or cooking in the back.
Nonetheless, they all stopped to look at you.
âYeah, yeah, Y/N is here, carry on, you guys,â The Five that was holding your hand waved the others off with his free hand, âShe needs a moment, stop being creeps.â
âI canât tell if this is a dream come true or my worst nightmare,â You said, looking around the deli, as Five guided you towards an empty booth.
You sat down as the other picked up again whatever they were doing, still watching you with the corner of their eyes. Five took a seat in front of you, still holding onto your hand on top of the table, using his other hand to rub small circles on your skin.
âI am not the Five that dragged you here, in case you didnât tell yet,â Five managed to say, âBut Iâm pretty sure that you did, since I know youâre smarter than he gives you credit for.â
âHe did mention that this subway system is the knot to multiple timelines,â You sighed, as Waiter Five set down two cups of steaming coffee on the table.
You watched him curiously, as he looked yet again exactly like Five, wearing just a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, with a black tie, pantsuit pants and a server apron around the waist. He smiled at you warmly, setting down two small packs of sugar and a creamer.
âIâm sorry, my love, we donât have any Irish Capuccinos around here, since youâre the first Y/N to set foot in here,â He apologetically smiled, âI can only get you a shot of whiskey, if youâd like.â
Of course they all knew your favorite coffee.
âMake it a bottle,â You said, cracking a smile for the first time, causing him to chuckle, before walking away to attend to your order.
âI canât begin to explain how much I missed your smile, darling,â The Five before you said, as you turned back to him, âThe Handler got to the Y/N in my timeline,â He added, as sadness took over his eyes, âI missed you so much.â
âI canât understand how youâre the same Five that fell in love with Lila,â You said, before quickly adding, âI mean- technically, youâre not, but still.â
âEveryone around here is a different version of me, from a different timeline,â He said, âIâm one of the many that didnât go down that road.â
âThank you, I guess,â You laughed, making him smile again.
What a sweet smile it was.
âWhen I lost you, I was a total wreck,â He confessed, as you couldnât help but place your other hand on top of his, âI love you so much, Y/N, I could never hurt you like that no matter what. This is all such a fucked up turn of events, but when I saw you coming out of that train, my mind froze.â
âI love you too, Five,â You said, âBut I need to wrap my head around what is going on- Everything is insane, I mean Iâm right now in the middle of yet another apocalypse, I just found out that you love Lila and thereâs just so fucking many of you.â
âI know, my love, I know,â Five nodded, âI wouldnât dare to ask you accept everything so fast, I know itâs a lot to take in.â
âCan you just⊠hold me?â You asked, watching as he didnât waste another second and got up to slide ne t yo you in the booth.
Wrapping one arm around your shoulders to pull you into his chest, he used his other one to caress your hair. You nuzzled your face into his shirt, taking in his scent, as you felt a wave of certitude wash over you. Five held you tightly into his arms, embracing you after years of your absence. He was grateful to have you in his arms once again.
And he was not about to let go anytime soon.
âIâll always hold you, my love,â Five muttered, peppering small kisses in your hair.
The Five from your timeline watched from behind the window as you took comfort in his arms, but not exactly his arms.
This was only the beginning of his lifelong regret.
a/n: hi yâall! itâs been a hot minute since iâve been on here, but after the absolute shit show that season 4 was, some sparks ignited in me to write up anything to take my mind off it đ
its not anything crazy, just fluff and banter since i havenât written anything in years so it may be as poorly redacted as this season lmao
summary: five and y/n attend their niece birthday party together, yet separate
âHappy birthday, little Gracie!â You smiled widely, trying not to drop the wrapped present box as the six year old girl jumped into your arms, âOh my gosh, look at you! Youâre just getting prettier by day, arenât you?â
You had just got off work in a hurry to make your appearance at the little girlâs birthday party at a decent time, in spite of the amount of paperwork you managed to bury yourself in lately. You knew how much it would have meant for the celebrated one to show up and you couldnât bear to let her down, especially on her birthday.
After spending most of your life working for the Commission, and then a decent amount of time exhausting yourself in trying to stop multiple Apocalypses, your last six years have been pretty quiet as a lawyer. You really wanted to get out of the whole assassin thing, but at the same time couldnât exactly move on from the thrill of the work field. Your career as a lawyer took off really well these past years, but inevitably it came along with the cost of always being stuck at work, so whenever your niece got the chance to see you, she was truly enthusiastic.
âAuntie Y/N!â She wrapped her tiny arms around your neck, engulfing you into a tight hug, âYou are here!â
Nonetheless, these six years have been truly and undeniably the most peaceful time of your life for as long as you could remember.
âYou literally saw each other the other day,â Five raised a brow, watching you and the celebrated one act as if you hadnât seen each other in years.
You and the little girl shared a look, before rolling your eyes and turning to glare at the man next to you. Ever since Grace learned how to talk, you and her would gang up on her uncle for your amusement, especially since he was so keen on entertaining the banter.
These past six year have gone by in the blink of an eye, yet at the same time at a slow and steady pace. You spent most of your time working anyway, but still kept in touch with the seven siblings youâd grown to love.
Some in different ways than others.
âUncle Five, youâre always more excited than me to see Aunt Y/N,â Gracie waved him off, making you burst out laughing, âJealousy isnât a good look on you anyway.â
âWhat is a good look on him anyway?â You smirked, making the little girl laugh, as Five swept her into his arms;
âOkay, munchkin, itâs your birthday today, but tomorrow Iâm going back to bullying you,â He joked, causing you both to laugh, before the two shared a hug before you, âYouâre lucky your gift has no return policy.â
The party had already started by the time you made it there. The playground was huddled by other kids around Graceâs age, along with their parents. The music was playing loudly over the laughter of children and you were pretty sure that most of the family had already arrived. It was not the most ideal gathering, but you tried your best to keep in touch with most of the family to your best capabilities.
âY/N, Iâm so glad you could make it!â Luther smiled, appearing from the crowd of guests, immediately giving you a big hug as his niece was still wrapped around Five, âHavenât seen you since Thanksgiving!â
âBig shot lawyer doesnât always have the time to stay in touch with family, huh?â Diego teased you, following suit, as you rolled your eyes, dropping off his daughterâs gift in his hands.
âBig shot delivery driver doesnât know the phone works both ways, huh?â You smirked, putting your hands on your hips.
Diego laughed out loud as he gave you a hug, always in the mood for a back and forth short banter with you. After all, you truly were family, even if you didnât always have the time to be present in the Hargreevesâ day to day lives. You may have met them in the original timeline in 2019, when you accidentally time traveled with your former partner at the Commission, Five, but after all youâve been through, you didnât need to have grown up together or be blood related to be considered that. And you truly were grateful for each and every single one of them, in spite of the many differences over the years.
After everything thatâs happened six years ago at Hotel Oblivion, everyone went their separate ways. Allison was back with her daughter while trying to further her acting career and also help Klaus stay on the sober line, Viktor had moved to Canada where he opened a bar, Diego and Lila had three kids, Luther was âprofessionally dancingâ, Ben had some run-ins with the law and Five, ironically enough, was working for the CIA.
âWell, you two are as annoying as always,â Ben told you and his brother, making Diego roll his eyes as he walked towards the gift table to set down your present.
âPlease try to stay out of prison at least for the remainder of the year,â You joked with the man, making him roll his eyes as he hugged you loosely, âThereâs only so much favors I could owe the DA.â
âShut the fuck up,â Ben groaned, âI donât even know why they let you work at the law firm since you still look like a prepubescent with no boobs. Even Five got a growth spurt.â
âI sized up to B recently, thank you very much,â You nudged his shoulder, before placing your hands on your chest in an offended manner.
âOkay, Gracie, not a conversation youâd wanna hear,â Five spoke up, putting his niece down, âYour aunt needs to learn some etiquette on how to act around children.â
âFunny coming from you,â You couldnât help but wave him off.
You didnât come in with Five at the party, but as fate had it, you did run into him as you were parking your car. He had just gone out to his brotherâs dusty van to bring inside some more cookies for the guests. You kept in touch with him as well, but not as often as you would have liked. Itâs not all that serious, but given the fact that you were a lawyer still climbing your way to the top and him being a top notch CIA agent, you didnât exactly have the time to hang out.
At least, not as much as youâd have liked.
Five was watching you with a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips, and his hands in his pockets. He had the same look on his face as always when watching you. He had the same smile when he saw you in combat for the first time during your first mission for the Commission together, the same look in his eyes when you appeared for the first time in 2019 alongside him in your teen bodies. The same posture he had when he met you again in 1963 after months of not seeing each other.
He wore the same love on his face while looking at you when you and the siblings split up after the events at Oblivion.
And never once did you notice that.
Not once in these past six years you let your feelings surface.
âYou know Grace is my niece too, right?â He couldnât drop the small smile even if he wanted to.
âSince when are you such a family man?â You raised a brow, trying to keep a confident composure.
âOh, something changed in me between the first and third time I traded the world for my siblings,â He lightly shrugged his shoulders, making you roll your eyes at the sarcastic remark.
You two never changed.
âPlease, I was there for the twins birth,â You waved him off.
You rarely see Five, and even when you do you always try to act normal, as you do around the rest of the Hargreeves. Everyone tried to get you two together at first, since the apocalypse was over and there was no reason for you to not get together, right?
You really wished it was that easy. In hindsight, maybe it was. But you couldnât take any chances in losing Five forever if something were to go wrong. Maybe some would see it as something stupid, or as if you wasted so many years, but to you- mentally, you were almost seventy, while physically nineteen. You had so much time ahead of you now, all that mattered was to get a stable career first.
Five let a chuckle escape, shaking his head in disbelief, as he looked at the floor for a couple of seconds. When he looked back at you, you tried to keep your composure. You couldnât help but feel pathetic that after all these years, your heart still skipped a beat whenever heâd look at you.
âYouâre doing that thing again where you forget that some other people are still around, guys,â Luther raised his hand, grabbing your attention once again.
âI got bored of watching seventy year old virgins,â Ben shrugged his shoulders, âIâm gonna go get shitfaced.â
âAlways a delight seeing you, Benjamin,â Five said, as Luther followed the ex-tentacle boy suit to make re he was not about to actually get drunk;
âThis is a six year oldâs birthday party!â
You giggled, watching the two brothers speed away while arguing amongst the kids in the crowd. When your eyes laid back on Five, who was intently watching you, you couldnât help but feel a small blush creep its way in your cheeks.
âWhat?â
âNothing.â
âSpit it out, Hargreeves.â
âI said itâs nothing!â
âFuck you.â
âWhy?â
You watched him dumbfounded for a couple of seconds because of the only answer he could come up with, before walking away, hoping he would follow you.
When he did try to keep up with you, you looked away to hide the proud smile. Even after all these years, things were still the same with him. He was still so eager to spend time with you, he was still smiling at you and entertaining your conversation.
âAunt Y/N, Uncle Five, come play in the ball pit!â Gracie ushered you from afar, already tucked in the plastic colorful balls.
âYou heard the birthday girl!â You smiled, grabbing his hand to drag Five after you.
Even after all these years he would instantly lock his fingers with yours.
Eddie, drunk: HOW IS HE SO FUCKING HOT?
Richie, also drunk: AND RESPECTFULLLLLLLLLLL?

How do we fix this?â âI DONT KNOWâand then he gets all frustrated & is like âI just spent the last MONTH trying to save the world. TWICEâ *yadda yadda goes on about his retirement* and he says âIâm going upstairs NOBODY FOLLOW ME.â and Y/N who hasnât been saying anything up to this point is kinda sitting there minding there business and fiddling there thumbs or whatever and five comes back in and is like âExcept for you, come with meâ And grabs her by the wrist and leads her upstairs?? You can do whatever you want with it after that I just wanted something that starts off that way đ. (I WILL PAY YOU TO DO THIS PLEASE AMOUR đ)

this one has nothing to do with sweet aidan, so hereâs a gif of timothee! well get back to aidan when we got more fluff
btw, this aint smut, but it does imply nsfw, so proceed with caution <3
summary: after losing to the sparrows, y/n and the hargreeves siblings regroup at the hotel obsidian, but five seems to not be in the mood for anyone else other than y/n
You dragged your feet towards the vintage sofa of the peculiar hotel, holding unto your hurt side. These new kids Reginald Hargreeves decided to adopt over your friends had given you and the siblings a hard time, but you managed to get out alive nonetheless.
Alive with a trillion questions, but alive nonetheless.
âThat was the most annoying beating I ever got,â You muttered, rubbing your side, âI spent more than half my life fighting for the Commission and none of the guys I had to take out were as arrogant and entitled as these Sparrow brats.â
âAmen,â The Hargreeves siblings nodded in agreement at your words, taking their seats on the sofas laid in the enormous lobby of the Hotel Obsidian Klaus had taken you to, saying that he âknows a placeâ.
When you turned 18, your parents decided your own future for you, so they figured following in their footsteps and joining the Commission would be the best thing for you. Forty years have passed since, and not only you became one of the best agents to walk in and out of the Commission, but fate had it so youâd be in 2019, in your 30 year old body, with your partner and his siblings, after having survived two apocalypses.
It was safe to say you learned at least two things by now; one, never complain about being 30 again, and two... Seriously, never complain about being 30 ever again.
âLuther, Diego and I scored three rooms, siblings dearest,â Klaus suddenly skipped towards you, Five, Allison and Vanya.
You watched the three men pretty impressed, considering you had just time traveled back to 2019 from 1963 and none of you had one dime on them, but you decided against questioning them any further, and instead let your head sink back into the cushions of the sofa.
âWhat do we do, Five?â Vanya asked her brother, so all the attention was shifted to the other 58 year old in his 30 year old body.
âI donât know,â He sighed, rubbing his face tiredly, being the only one that was not seated.
âWell... we have to start somewhere,â Allison pointed out, âWho exactly are they?â
âI donât know,â Five repeated his previous answer, pacing back and forth, with his hands still on his face.
âAnd why is Ben alive, with them, and not with us?â Klaus brought up another question, making everyone wait for an answer from Five.
âI donât know,â He said once again, brushing his hand through his messy raven locks, âI donât know.â
Five had an exact point in the floor he had been staring at, nothing else. You watched as he almost carved a hole through the floor with his back and forth pacing, with his mind flooded of unanswered questions. To say that Five was exhausted would be the understatement of the year, as he had spent his last 20 days successively trying to prevent the apocalypse, only to return home for good and find seven strangers.
One of which was a cube that handed you and Diegoâs asses to each other.Â
You let out a small grunt, shifting your position for a more comfortable one, as Luther wondered, âWhy would dad prefer them over us?â
âI donât know,â Five took in a deep breath, stopping in his tracks.
It almost looked as if one more question in his direction and heâd explode. In all fairness, you couldnât blame him. Youâd known him before these past 20 days- well, 20 days for him, for you it was five months since the first impending apocalypse of 2019.Â
Before he dragged you alongside him to his family, you knew he spent 45 years all by himself in a post-apocalyptic timeline, before the Handler recruited him into the Commission and named him your new partner. You had known Five Hargreeves for a while, you had a brief history with him, seeing as he was your company on missions.
But never more, much to your dismay.Â
In spite of his sarcastic and grumpy attitude, you loved him to bits, down to each flaw in particular. Heâd get easily angry, he hated to repeat himself and he had little to no patience. But you didnât care. This same man, who had a lot of blood on his hands, the same man, who had taken numerous lives... he was the same man whoâd patch up your wounds on missions, whoâd listen whenever the Handler would give you a hard time, whoâd asked you to come with him to 2019 to his family.
You thought he wanted you to join him back to his family because he knew you didnât agree with Doomsday, just like him, but the truth was he wanted you to come because he loved you just as much as you loved him and he couldnât stand the idea of losing you.
In all his life, he had never met someone as human as you. You were flawed, you had made mistakes and each life you took was marked deep into your soul, but you always tried to better yourself. You were kind and good, generous, helpful and soft, even on missions. Even on the worst part of the mission.
Five viewed you as the one good thing in his life, but he was too terrified to mess it up by being true about his feelings. And to be fair, he didnât even think the time was right. In the beginning, he would be too occupied with Commission tasks to tell you how he felt, then it was the two apocalypses and maybe the thought that he didnât deserve to be happy, to have a life with you. Even if he was 30 again, he still felt like he had no future.
âWhatâs our next move?â Diego popped the big question, so you couldnât help but raise your head from between the cushions to watch Five explode;
âI donât fucking know!â
There it was.
In true old Five fashion, the man eyed each and every one of his siblings, as they all frowned at his burst, âI donât fucking know!â He repeated, âI- I have no idea who those assholes were and why Reggie would pick them over us, and I sure as fuck donât know what to do from now on! I need one fucking day off- no! You know what? Not even one day! Half a day! Twelve fucking hours off! Twelve fucking hours where I can finally relax for once in my life! Because guess what? I spent the last fucking month of my life trying to save the fucking world! Twice! Not once, fucking twice! So, please, for the love of god, stop asking me questions! I was there with you the entire time, I donât have any more answers than you dumbasses do! I have no idea, I have no clue, no answer! I only know that I need a fucking break and I want to fucking retire. The sun is shining outside and the birds are chirping and I am pretty sure that those Sparrow dickheads wonât bring on the end of the world. So, three conclusions,â Five finally took in a deep breath, âOne, I donât fucking know,â He counted, âTwo, I want to fucking retire and three, Iâm going upstairs.â
âFive...â Vanya softly called out his name, as you all watched him turn his back to you.
âNobody fucking follow me!â Five called out once again, before snatching a key to a room from Klausâ hand and storming off towards the elevator.
You and the siblings stood in silence for a few seconds, exchanging looks. You felt like Fiveâs reaction was completely reasonable, as you and his siblings had a couple of months to calm down when you made the jump from 2019 to 1963. Even though it was shattering to each and every one of you, as you were obviously a part of the family to them, being separated from each other for so long was very hard.Â
There were definitely ups and downs.
âI canât believe Five said please,â You managed to say, seeing that none of the Hargreeves siblings had the courage to break the ice.
âShut your piehole and come with me,â Five suddenly said, startling you guys.
You watched confused as he grabbed your wrist and pulled you off the sofa, dragging you with him to the elevator.
âFive!â You yelped, as the two of you entered the elevator.
Five Hargreeves had you pressed against the wall of the elevator as he pushed the button for the right floor, not once taking his eyes off you. He couldnât put his finger on exactly what caused this change of heart, since he swore to himself heâd contain himself around you, but maybe his burst made him realize what a big idiot he is for this.Â
He just yelled at his siblings that he wants to retire and that he needs a break, there definitely is no apocalypse happening right now, so his fear of the future was the only thing standing in his way.
âAre you okay?â You asked him with a soft smile, holding unto your side with one hand, as with the other you were holding Fiveâs bicep.
âMy siblings are as annoying as ever,â He sighed, one hand in his pants pocket, one rested above you on the wall.
Gosh, he has to know how fucking hot and handsome he is, you couldnât help but think to yourself, as Five stood dangerously close to you. All messy and gruffy, with his classic three piece suit and tie. Well, now he had been left with his vest, since his blazer was either lost in the Sparrow Academy or left in 1963- you couldnât remember and you didnât care. He looked dangerously beautiful all roughed up in his white shirt rolled up to his elbows and the black vest that was hugging him in the right places. His tattoo was more visible now, still partly covered by his watch, but you couldnât help but notice it as his hand was so close to your face.
A soft tint of pink covered your cheeks, as you tried to brush away those sinful thoughts of what those beautiful hands could have you weak right beneath him. Suddenly, you were too shy to even look at him anymore.
âAre you okay?â Five frowned, noticing as your head fell to the ground.
âUh- yeah, yeah. Itâs nothing, really,â You shook your head, âMy side, kind of hurts, thatâs all.â
âLet me see,â Five said, placing his hand on top of yours to remove it, âJesus Christ, Y/N... that does not look good.â
âI am not sure how bad it looks, but I promise itâs not that painful,â You assured him with honesty, watching as he kept your shirt up to analyze the injury further, âI just need to clean it up, bandage it and Iâll be as good as new.â
âLet me help you,â Five offered, looking back at you with a small smile, âLike the old times.â
âUh, sure,â You nodded your head, just as the elevator beeped, informing you that you had finally reached your floor.
You and Five left the elevator quietly, as you followed him around the big floor to the room. You tried to fight back any indecent thought of the man, but you couldnât help yourself. Not only you fell in love stupidly with his personality, but you also fell head over hills for his aspect.
Why was he so hot?Â
The way he carried himself, his tall and lean figure, his dark hair and emerald eyes. His dimples, his smile, his everything. Five Hargreeves was too pretty.
âRoom 828,â Five muttered, as he stopped in his tracks, âWonder what nuthouse Klaus brought us to this time.â
You scoffed, âIt has a very interesting choice of interior design, but itâs not that bad.â
Five raised a brow at you amused, âWhatever floats your boat.â
âItâs not worse than the TV shop,â You pointed out.
âI happened to like the TV shop,â Five informed you with a smirk, as you two entered the room, âThe only weirdos it hosted was us.â
âFair point,â You shrugged your shoulders, examining the room.
You frowned at the green tropical wallpaper that conveyed the walls. The center piece of the dull room was one king sized bed in the middle, on each side with a nightstand and two lamps as well. The room was being lit by the two windows that showed the park, and a boring huge wardrobe took some more space of the room. The most interesting part of the room was the fireplace between the windows and the small coffee table and sofa in front of it.Â
âItâs really not that bad,â You said, realizing that in hindsight, the room was pretty spacious.
âDid you know the bathroom is down the hall?â Five looked down at you amused, as you quickly turned to him in shock;
âNo!â
âYup.â
âNo!â
âYup.â
âDamn it!â
Five let a small chuckle escape his lips, watching your childish side come out for the first time in a long while. It was pretty reinvigorating to him, as he watched you pout, looking around the room for the toilet that you knew you wouldnât find.
âIâll get some wet towels,â Five reminded himself of the task at hand, âAnd bandages.â
You nodded, turning to the sofa. You took a place softly, as the pain in your side was still not letting you go. You took off your leather jacket, laying it on top of the sofa neatly. You laid on your back, lifting your black shirt to take a closer look at your wound.
During your fight with the Sparrows, you learned their Number 4âČs ability the hard way. Empathetic Masochism.
Not knowing that he could inflict the hit you planted on him back to you, you gave the funny looking man the harshest kick to the side you could. That only ended in you stumbling back, as a huge bruise was forming on top of your stitches from 1963, when the Swedish brothers almost got you.
So that was bleeding again.
The door opened again, but you didnât even bother to turn, knowing already that it was Five who was back, âYou wanna talk about it?â You asked, finally looking away from your wound.
âAbout what?â Five asked, walking towards you with the promised wet towels and bandages, placing them on the coffee table.
âYour wellbeing?â You suggested with a raised brow, âBy the way, I think I am gonna need a new set of stitches.â
âFigured,â Five said, reaching in his pocket for a box of surgical needle and thread.
âOf course you were one step ahead of me,â You smirked, watching him put the box on the table and grab the towel.
âOff with it,â Five gestured towards your shirt.
âExcuse you?â
âCome on, Y/N, I was the one who sewed up that wound last time, so it wouldnât be the first time I see you half naked,â Five rolled his eyes.
âA true gentleman,â You rolled your eyes, sitting up from the sofa, âYour exâs must have been treated like princesses.â
Five was all in for your teasing, all the time. So, he was not mad when he heard your words, more like amused. He smirked, watching you roll your eyes this time, going in for the hem of your shirt. He stepped closer to you, almost pressing his own body to yours, grabbing your hands in a gentle move.
âWh-What are you doing?â You asked, feeling the pink shade return to your cheeks.
âBeing a gentleman,â He said, not once letting go of his infamous smirk.
Five tucked his hands beneath your shirt, pulling it over your head as slowly and gently as he could. When his fingertips brushed against your skin even for a mere second you knew youâd be ready right then and there to melt in his touch.Â
Five let your shirt fall somewhere around the sofa, brushing his fingers through your hair as it had been messed up in the process. You closed your eyes, unconsciously leaning into his hands, enjoying this moment maybe more than you should. In spite of Fiveâs confident act, his heart was beating almost out of his chest. He had taken care of your wounds before, but not like this. Clean and stitch you up, make you laugh to help you ignore the pain and take your mind off it.Â
But this time it was different and you both knew it.
âYouâre still not off the hook, you know,â You said, re-opening your eyes to find the man looking at you with the most genuine smile he had ever given you, âFive?â
âYouâre a pain in the ass, did you know that?â He shook his head turning around to grab the wet towel, âAlways bothering me to talk about my feelings.â
âWell, I am sorry I donât want you to explode because of all the emotions you bottle up,â You raised a brow at him cockily, âOh wait, you did.â
âLike I said, my siblings are annoying,â Five lightly shrugged his shoulders, kneeling in front of you.
âFive?â You gulped, watching him on his knees in front of you, so dangerously close to your area.
âY/N?â He looked up at you, pretending like he didnât know what he was doing to you. He knew, he knew how hot and bothered he was getting you at the moment, and maybe thatâs what he wanted.
Thatâs what his aim was, dragging you with him upstairs.
Now the question was, how did you feel about it?
âYou have to understand they are confused,â You tried to brush off the fuzzy feelings, as Five started cleaning your wound, âI am confused, Five. Youâre the man with all the answers.â
âWell, this time I am not,â Fiveâs voice softened, âThis time, I need to lay in bed and put my thoughts in line. Itâs been a while since Iâve done that,â He sighed, âI know I have superpowers and I am not a normal person, but I am still human... I still need a break... I still need to lay in bed and... breathe.â
You watched Five with a small smile. Your heart ached to see him so exhausted, even though you were happy to finally hear him open up and get to know what was going on inside that genius head of his.
âItâs alright, Five,â You said, making him look up at you, âYou deserve a break,â You added, tangling your hands in his messy hair, as a feeling of safety and relaxation suddenly flooded him, âOut of all of us, youâre the one that needs it most. You tried your best to keep your family safe and the world, and you finally succeeded... well, one way or another. The Sparrows are not that big a deal, theyâll be handled.â
âYouâre always such an optimist,â Five shook his head amused, returning to your wound, âAlways know the right thing to tell me.â
âAlways,â You smiled a soft whisper, watching Five put down the towel and reach for the needle and thread.
âYou ready?â He asked you, preparing his utensils.
âThis ainât my first stitch-up, Five,â You scoffed, and maybe you wouldâve also crossed your arms sassily if the manâs hair wasnât so soft and calling you out to never let go of it.
âStill being a gentleman,â He reminded you, beginning to officially tend to your old wound.
You always loved being touched by him, whether it was a slight tap on the shoulder, knees touching by mistake, or full-on tight hugs, your head on his shoulder or even an arm linked around his. Whatever type of touch it was, it always made you feel safe. Like a guarantee that he is here and nothing could ever happen. Even though you were a strong, skilled woman by yourself, the love you carried for Five Hargreeves made you feel as if nothing could ever go wrong when youâre in his presence. Ironically enough, all that while there were two apocalypses impending and even before those the dangerous missions you were assigned to by the Commission.
In spite of all that, your mood would always change in Fiveâs company.Â
âHave I ever told you how much I appreciate you?â You spoke up, watching as Five was done with your wound, finally putting a big bandage over it.
He looked up at you, watching your serious face, âIâm guessing you will now.â
âI appreciate you, Five,â You ignored his sassy butt, âMore than you could ever imagine.â
âI appreciate you too, Y/N,â He smiled softly, resting his hands on your waist, âAnd Iâm very glad you tagged along with me to 2019.â
Before getting up to his feet, Five leaned in and placed a loving kiss on your bandage, making your stomach knot in all possible ways and your heart flutter like never before. He stood up and stepped even closer to you, cupping your face, causing your heart to beat even faster into your chest, so fast that you thought he could hear it. Five looked into your eyes, as if he was looking for something, but you were not quite sure what.Â
This was a new side of Five you had yet to discover. New, but familiar. It felt like you had never seen this... almost vulnerable side of him, while at the same time being sure that this was still the same sassy and cocky asshole you grew to love more than anything.
You placed your hands, on his own, encouraging him wordlessly to move further. Five picked up on your intentions, leaning in, painfully slow. On one hand, maybe he was trying to tease you, but on the other he was just as nervous and scared as you were.
âI want you,â He whispered in a low tone, millimeters away from your lips.
âIâm yours,â You declared, and that was all it took for Five to find the courage to ravish you.
He closed the distance between the two of you, crashing his lips against yours in the long awaited kiss. Your hands immediately found their way back into his hair, as the kiss was getting deepened by the second. It felt so sweet and savory at the same time, as love and lust were getting mixed. You were finally getting that kiss with Five you were so desperately aching for and it was even more perfect than you could ever imagine.
Your bodies pressed against one another, as Five grabbed your thighs, lifting you up without breaking the kiss once.Â
âCan you maybe not be a gentleman for the next hour?â You whispered, as Five carried you towards the bed.
He couldnât help his smirk, as he climbed on top of you, âGladly.â
