”Yes, for i am the best demi-god of the demi-gods.” Azelf said in a sassy tone. ”Fossils, eh? like those you dig up in the underground? i have things from the underground, THINGS, like traps and spheres and stuff.”

”Careful where you are waving that shovel, it might accidently catch fire and melt or something.”

Azelf shrugged ”Meh, myself i prefer plates and speed, especially speed, cause then i can destiny bond people into the abyss.”

Byron had a small sweatdrop at Azelf's words, "I-I see...I didn't know Azelf could learn Destiny Bond! That's kind of scary if you think about it. I just hope you don't use it for any malicious reasons." A little frown on Byron's face as he had been a bit calmed due to a dampened mood.

"The best demi-god, huh? Gwahaha! I wonder what the other Lake Pokemon think about that, huh?" Byron said as he joked around with Azelf. "Oh! If you ever find any fossils, I'd love to examine them for you! You'd just have to show me!"

Haley’s eyes widened at the massive display of fossils. “Beautiful! Simply fascinating!" she exclaimed.

"Yep! And I dug them all up myself! Every last one of them! Even that giant Anorith fossil at the end there!"

This definitely was the Byron he remembered so clearly. Ash grinned back at the gym leader as he acknowledged his presence, forcing his way through a few other eager trainers with a huff. “Of course not! I’ve been working real hard, Byron! Don’t you worry," the boy announced and placed a fist on his chest in a declarative manner. He flinched a bit when Byron roughly pounded his shovel into the ground.

"I was actually just passing through. It’s been awhile since I came here," Ash explained and turned to look at the sea of people over his shoulder. “You really have a lot of trainers lined up, don’t you?"

"Gwahaha! You bet, Ash! But none of them were able to defeat my impenetrable defenses!" Byron gave a deep and heartily laugh as he patted Ash on the back. Ash was a good friend to Byron and he always enjoyed the boy's presence. Who knows? Maybe they'll have another battle?

"Come inside, Ash. You must have traveled a long way!" Turning around, he lead his old pal into the Gym and had a lot of questions for him, "So how far are you in your travels, Ash? Been digging up fossils I hope? Gwahahaha!" Another heartily laugh as Byron had only been joking around with his old friend.

She gave a nod of her head, “Mhmm. Team Snagem and Team Cipher." Orre was such a small region, so it came to a little bit of a surprise to her that he knew somewhat about the situation that went on there, or that he even heard of the region in the first place.

The Boonies? Is that what the region was known as, interesting. She shook her head, “No I don’t have any fossils on me, sorry."

"No fossils?!" A little disappointed, Byron hung his head, defeated. He was really antsy to discover a new fossil, since he had a few recent failures. But that was in the past, and he had to focus on the now. "Anyways...I've heard of those groups. They sound just as bad as the criminals from our region, Team Galactic."

Grinning a bit, he remembered the situation with the hero that saved Unova from Team Galactic, "Luckily, they're gone and over with now."

"My name’s Rosa, and I love fire types!" she exclaimed, this guy seemed tough, but Rosa wasn’t going to back down now. “This will be great!" she said, taking a pokeball from her bag.

"Then bring it on Rosa!" With that, the battle had started and the rules were explained by the referee. They were to use three Pokemon each and only the challenger could switch Pokemon. The first person to knock out the other's Pokemon would be declared the winner.

"Alright! I love Bronzor!" Byron shouted as he sent out his Pokemon. With the relic Pokemon appearing out of the PokeBall it had a fairly clear look on it's face with practically no facial expression at all.

There are several ways to transport yourself from Unova to Sinnoh that’s available here with the most common being by one of the boats available in the Castelia City ports. If I were to guess from what this Canalave City sounds like, as I have never actually been to Sinnoh, is that the boats would release its passengers there.

//Compared to Byron, Colress was incredibly calm. His hands had fallen into the large pockets on his coat on more of an instinctual manner for him, but other than that, he didn’t move much. He had a gathered appearance and a rather moderate look on his face. His voice was calm and connected and his words were light and danced on//

I am working on the air conditioner as a request by many of the others living on the Frigate. The ship easily traps heat, making temperatures practically unbearable at time. And no, I am not one to enjoy sweating. There is not much to do here physically-wise or in terms of exercising.

Byron could only cross his arms, upset at hearing those final few words. "Bah! Doesn't sound like fun at all. Your men are sweating while doing absolutely nothing. What do you guys do on this ship anyways? What kind of group is this exactly?"

Byron wasn't suspicious at all, he was just curious. He had no idea who Colress was, so he didn't know a thing about Team Plasma, except what he saw from the news, but that was about it. Still, to have traveled to a whole new region without realizing it? It was almost too embarrassing for him to ever want to bring up to anyone.

Compa wiping her tears away, “Wa? What do you mean I got something wrong?" Compa shocked. " You mean you have never heard of Leanbox? What about Planeptune? Lastation? Lowee?" Compa panicking." I can’t believe I get lost somewhere, where they have never heard of any of the landmasses."

Compa looks back at Mister Muscles, " WA! Super scary~! P-please don’t yell at me you get really scary when you do Mister Muscles." Compa starts to cry again. Compa regains her composer and stops crying.

"Pokemon? Nope still never heard of them. Can you show me some of these pokemon, I would love to see a cute one!" Compa smiles

Byron couldn't believe what this girl was going on about. As she suggested the different places, all he could do was shake his head, "Nope! I've never heard of any of those places either!" He was about to snap again and shout, "I'm not--..oh forget it." He hung his head, defeated because he knew it would only repeat her crying again.

"Look, I'm sorry about my shouting. I'll try to keep it down, I guess." He grumbled, a little upset he had to keep his energy pent up. It was alright, though, because she wanted to see a Pokemon and boy was he going to show her one. 

"Oh? How about this!" He tossed a Pokeball in the air as he called out, "I LOVE BASTIODON!!!"

"Hi there!" Gardenia greeted as the older man walked out of his Gym.  It was quite a travel from Eterna to Canalave, and it took a blimp ride to even get here.  But Canalave City sure was a fascinating place.  To be honest, it had been the first time she had been here.  It was also the first time that she had officially met and talked to Byron.  Of course, she knew his son, Roark, and he had talked about him on occasion.  She even saw him at some conventions where Gym Leaders were required to go.

"Long day at the Gym?" she asked, smiling at the taller man, but avoiding his questions for the moment.  That would come a little bit later once the ice was broken.  “I’m flattered that you remember my name.  For such a powerful Gym Leader, I didn’t think that you would.  I believe this is the first time we’ve ever talked amongst ourselves, isn’t it?"

Byron couldn't help but give a heartily laugh at Gardenia's question, "Gwahaha! Yeah! Challengers came from all over to face me! But none were able to pierce my perfect defense! Gwahahahaha!" Placing his shovel on his shoulder, he had been a little pumped up at this time with a glint of eagerness in his eye.

"You flatter me! But I've heard about your own prowess at your gym! I must say I'm impressed! Your nimble moves and use of speed is a type of defensive strategy and I love it!" Byron heard stories of a few battles that Gardenia had at the little Gym Leader conventions. In truth, he memorized everyone's name and even the types they use when going there. Only the leaders from Sinnoh that is.

"Still, it's great to get to talk to you one on one! Need help with anything?"

"Huh? No I haven’t… I have just been traveling in the woods for awhile. I don’t even have anything to dig with," N answered slightly startled by his enthusiastic friend’s posture. He smiled as he got over being startled, “Though it is a pleasure to meet too Byron!"

"Oh? You were in the woods?" Byron's energy calmed a bit as he heard of a child wandering in the woods. "Why were you there? Don't you know it's dangerous to wander into a forest all by yourself?" He was concerned for the boy before him, but then he had an idea that was a little silly.

"Wait right here!" With that, he ran into his gym and came back out in a matter of moments. "Here! Take this, N!" Byron had handed him a mini shovel, fit for N's size. "Now you can dig as many happy little holes to your hearts content! Gwahahaha!"

I-Love-Defense found a odd Scientist from Orre

A certain lab coat wearing Orre based scientist stood right in front of the Canalave city Gym. He had gotten himself lost while traveling through Sinnoh, but some how found himself in front of a Gym building, though of which gym he wouldn’t know to be precise. After a few seconds of staring at the door Ivion finally shrugged his shoulders and walked towards the door to see if he could finally attain his first badge from any region.

Byron had been cleaning his fossil collection when his assistant told him about a challenger looking for a battle. "Oh? Well then, let's see what they've got!" With this, he went to the front door of the gym. Strange, he expected a younger challenger, but he'd accept nonetheless.

"Welcome to Canalave City Gym! I take it you want to battle, do ya?"

"Yep! Raised her from a Growlithe!" She continued to grin, but a more determined look entered her eyes. “I’m not the champion of Unova for lollygagging around, you know!" She bent her knees just a bit, as if getting in her own fighting stance. Her Arcanine did the same.

"Better to start off strong! Arcanine, Flamethrower!" She shouted the order to the pokemon, who proceeded to listen to her trainer. She sent out the attack with a vivacious ferosity .

Byron's brow was raised at Neva's words. "Oh? The champion of Unova? I've never been there before! I can't wait to see what kind of power the champion from that region has to offer then! Gwahahaha!" Completely full of energy, Byron was ready for a heated battle.

However, he didn't call a single order out to Bronzor as it took the flamethrower head on. Completely engulfed in flames, the Bronzor had looked a bit in pain, but nothing too bad. This was thanks to it's ability Heatproof which caused fire type moves to do minimal damage. Byron and Bronzor spent countless hours training on fighting fire types, so this was barely a scratch to Bronzor!

"Hah! Alright Bronzor use Rain Dance!" The heat around Bronzor started to create steam as it sent a hazy ball into the sky in the open arena, causing the sky to go black as it started to drizzle.

        »ღ« The sound of someone's feet walking on the concrete next to her window caused the girl to awake from her sleep. She looked around for a moment before eyeing the window with confusion -- was someone out there? Mckenna stood up from her bed and scurried over to the window, moving the curtains to see if someone was out there. Although it was dark, she could make out a figure that was walking around outside. The program puffed out her cheeks and moved away from the window, glancing around her room, attempting to locate a blunt object to use. After a few minutes of scurrying around her room, she had found a small umbrella that she could use to attack the 'burglar.'

        » Mckenna made her way to the front door and opened it up, peeking into the dimly-lit street. She held up the umbrella by her head and began to slowly walk towards the side of her house where someone was. The brunette peeked her head into the small fenced area by her house, spotting the person. She slowly made her way towards the person and held up her umbrella, delivering a soft blow onto the other's head, along with a faint scream leaving her mouth.

Byron had been minding his own business as he was travelling around outside at night, searching across the land for more fossils that could be excavated. It was a rather lovely evening stroll as he gazed up at the stars without a care in the world. Memories of his family back in Oreburgh City flashed in his mind with his son Roark and his beautiful wife.

These memories were interrupted, however, as he was struck on the back of the head by a stranger. However, it was a light blow and he hardly moved at all, just had an angry look on his face and turned his head with the umbrella still on the back of his head. 

"Just what the heck did you do that for?!" Byron roared with a deep booming voice.
