Ghosts

They hadn’t fought like that in a long time. Voices were raised. Hurtful things were said. Things were thrown. The last time Tristan and his son fought like this, Balthius was a teenager and wanted desperately to be a pirate to impress a boy. He remembered Balthius locked himself in his room for hours yelling through the door and refusing to eat. This time was different. Tristan knew he was in the right and he knew Balthius thought so as well. The man shouldn’t have just left to fight the empire without a word but he did and Tristan was both hurt and scared all at once. Balthius wouldn’t back down and the two were left at a stalemate.

“Maybe we just need some space,” Balthius said with a sigh. “It’s been a rough few moons tryin’ to put Ala Mhigo back together. Might be time for a break.”

Tristan shook his head staring at the floor. “You’re a grown man Balthius. You can do what you want.”

Balthius made a face hearing his father’s tone. With a small snort, he went to his room packed a few of things into his knapsack and headed out the door. Before leaving, he looked back in towards his father. “I’ll be back soon. Gonna visit the Company and see what they’re up to for a moon or two.”

Tristan continued to stare at the floor without saying a word. And with that, Balthius shut the door behind him. That was a week ago.

Old piece I stopped working on in 2018 but decided to finish it today!

Zeviagoth the Seven Eyed God of Curses and Ill Fortune. The youngest of the greater gods meant that he lacked many worshipers compared to the other greater gods. The envious type, he ended up forcing non-divines to begin to worship him by ‘gifting’ his seventh eye in the form a cursed mark. Any who received the mark would have to travel to the Winter Abyss, Zeviagoth’s domain on the material plane. Those who refused were often considered bearers of calamity and dark times. Stories of the marked not within the Winter Abyss going mad and becoming like beasts quickly spread across the lands. However, there was never any definite proof the mark and the madness being linked.

Zex Iex Portrait Commissions

Finally doing some Commissions

While I have commission stuff for more than portraits, for the moment I am  just opening for portraits. Since lot of stuff I do is still figuring things out I would do a discounted price ($25) sale. Most of my art comes from FFXIV characters though recently I have tried some new things (hence the fuzzy tiger guy up there).  I would be willing to do most portraits of characters regardless of game/world/etc. Though things like Furry/monster/female characters may take me longer on account not being as practiced.

Naturally, references are required of the character. I tend to focus on painting over line art and sketching. Large amounts of detail may increase the cost. Elaborate backgrounds may also. More examples of my art can be found here (be warned the twitter does contain NSFW art).

Tumblr changes

Haha...

The system they are using to flag this is hilarious, but really it just needs more input. I know I don’t really know anyone super thrilled with this but if you want the flagging to improve you gotta send off posts that shouldn’t be flagged back to tumblr to be reviewed so they can feed it as a ‘good post’ to the “AI” handling the flagging. As the system gets more data it develops what is flagged or not flagged into a more accurate thing. Tumblr has to review posts that are flagged and challenged. Which is a lot more efficient than reviewing every post on the site. The change I don’t think is good, but by reporting incorrectly flagged posts you make, you can make the change less... problematic.
