This statue sits atop the north tower of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, 46 m (150 feet) above the ground. Known as the Stryga, or Spitting Gargoyle, this is perhaps the most famous “gargoyle” in the world, even though it is technically a chimera.

I’ve been meaning to assemble this panorama and correct the very difficult lighting (especially for a very retro iPhone 5 camera) for ten years and this post reminded me to get around to it.
On June 26th, 2015, a completely foreign world to now, I was driving home with NPR on, and pulled into a grocery store parking lot.
I had just heard via the radio the Obergefell v. Hodges decision which legalized gay marriage.
Texas was celebrating with a double rainbow.
All love is beautiful.
Do not cite the deep magics to me, witch. I was there when it was written.
