Quiet possibly one of the best things I've ever read.
Sometimes it’s hard to start a story. They have to begin somewhere but I have always had trouble pinpointing the exact moment when events start to unfold, when that first raindrop of the flood falls from the sky. Even discerning what is relevant and what just seems so can be challenging. I guess though, I should begin with her. She was the beginning of this and the end. I have lived with her for some time and loved her a great deal longer. She was beautiful, incredibly so. She looked as if she belonged in a 1920’s movie, effortlessly graceful but in a way that was so casual she didn’t seem to notice that she never failed to take my breath away. It was one of those feelings that you don’t notice at first but swells slowly until it hits you like a crashing wave, washing away all of your internal resistance. I loved her from afar, at first only daring to say a few words but then as I grew more confident I would ask her for coffee or dinner and after a few attempts to brush me off I finally managed to succeed.
HEAD VS HEART
Your head tells you that you should be with someone but, your heart is saying something else. What do you do? When your reason for being with someone is “because he’s nice”you might as well be with every guy that’s “nice”. In a world that’s not passionate anymore; people don’t take time to get to know each other organically and discover each other slowly and everything seem mediocre; I want a romance that will hit me in the face like that brick wall that I smashed my face into in high school. My head tells me that logically I should be with this guy that’s nice and sweet and caring and has an AMAZING 8 pac (he’s a rugby player). While my heart can’t deny that the other guy that’s awkward, chubby, very tall, very funny and very smart is the one for me.
But, I don’t have a choice in this. Because we come from very different worlds… To put it simply, he lives in a better post code and had a private school education. our lives couldn’t be any more different than it is. But, for some reason we are drawn to each other, talking for hours till the early hours of the morning making each other laugh and sharing each other’s secrets. But, there is something in me that’s scared to tell him how much i like him, for the fear of getting rejected. But, i have to do it one day; hopefully sooner rather than later. Because, I would be devastated to see him go and miss that opportunity completely.
Should I follow my heart and tell him i like him and ruin a good friendship or do i go with the logical decision and be with the guy that’s ‘nice’ so i don’t have to deal with rejection? The dilemma…
‘The heart want, what it wants”
On a night so dark and gloomy I light a candle for the nine lives on death row and are facing execution tonight in Indonesia. “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul…” (Matt 10:28) #IStandForMercy

MOVIES AREN'T REAL
When has high school ever been amazing to anyone like the ones in movies, where the hot "jock" realised that he liked the quirky, geeky, nerdy girl instead of the hot seemingly "perfect" girl.
Or the guy you have been crushing on since forever suddenly realises that you too are the girl of his dreams and he sweeps you off your feet and kisses you passionately in the rain.
i wish i could say that my high school experience included one of these scenarios. But, alas and realistically none of those things happened. There was no love affair with an insanely gorgeous guy. All the guys for me existed in those books i read (ps. thanks Daniel Barnz for ruining one of the books i enjoyed by making a horrible movie. i could never forgive you). The whole of 2009 I spent in the library alone and i didn't regret it for one second. Guys were only interested in me when i'm helping them solve maths equations and no i didn't have a hot lab partner like Channing Tatum in She's the man.
My final year of high school; i didn't have amazing house parties, crazy weekends out with friend. Instead I was going crazy trying to keep up with assignments and tests and my weekends were filled with books; either i'm studying them, writing in them or reading them.
And now that i'm in university i wish i could say ...”but, you don't have to feel sorry for me because my life is totally amazing. I travel and go on road trips and have an amazing boyfriend.”
EERRR NO!
Guys just further confirmed that they are still dicks and that's pretty much it. So i'm vowing to stay single for the rest of my life.
ps. That's why i watch Game of Thrones because that shit's real; everyone backstabs each other and we all end up dying one way or another.
