Please could anyone with a few seconds take/share this quiz about blood donation. It’s 10 questions and should only take a minute or so!
(A group of us are currently in the middle of planning a social action campaign around blood donation. We are trying to find out how much people already know, so please try to answer honestly).
Fun Fact: Bacteriophages are virus' that have antimicrobial properties. These bacteriophages are considered to be a promising tool in the control of antibiotic resistance.

New Blog This is now going to be my main blog, it is currently undergoing construction so isn't completely finished yet! This blog will also be posting to my twitter and Tumblr so everything will be kept up to date!
I made this to put on my wall for revision, but I thought it might be helpful for some of you guys too so I thought I would share it!
This should be helpful for anyone taking any biology classes!

please don’t remove the credit thank you :)
@unicolyon
I totally agree
Hi, what do you agree with?
{12/December/2016} Hey guys since this week and last week are project weeks for my dissertation there will be less posts than usual. However I’ll be back after the holidays ☃️
Fun Fact: Environmental biotechnology is the exploration of biological processes for technology that can be applied to or used in a natural environment. For example biological fuel cells!
{28/November/2016} This weeks spread starts on Monday 10th of October, the week is mostly training for the upcoming year! This was also my second week of ten of The Writing Project, my writing has greatly improved since doing this course!
Fun fact: a type of algae known as diatoms can extract silicon oxide from water to form a shell!
{21/November/2016} A catch up of Octobers future planning pages and the spread of the first week of October, this was a super busy week! With the exception of the weekend, which I spent relaxing playing video games.
Fun fact: some cultures need shaking when they are growing! This can because the bacteria may clump together and form and uneven growing culture.
{14/November/2016} Octobers monthly spread, looking very full! I had so much extracurricular to get through! (To be honest, I still haven’t quite finished it all off)! Don’t forget that a little bit of work is better than no work.
{7/November/2016} This is another catch up spread from the 17th-27th of September, these where my first weeks back at university! Freshers fair was also on the 22nd of September and the multicultural society (that I chair) secured a stall and gained more members for the coming year. We have lots of great activities planned and it's all very exciting!
Fun facts!
I will be restarting my #funfacts posts on Wednesday 16th November! Woo Hoo
