What Supremacy really has the USA in a chokehold.
I'm very confused by the people who aren't white but RUSH to defend it as if WS has done anything for them.
Now that ICE can stop anyone for not looking white, I'm curious to see who's on the list who didn't know they are on the list.
I would love for a revolution to actually happen about now but we are too divided and distracted as a nation for it to be effective.

I literally don't remember the last time I posted, but this has been the most consistent journal I've ever kept so I thought I'd come back to it. I remember writing about going on dates with women for the first time in my life. Now I have wife so that whole dating women thing really worked out. Also, moved to Asia for awhile. It was cool but ultimately, not for me. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to live in a country that hates me that's being run by the stupidest people on the planet. Okay, I hope you're well! Life has been lived, not documented
In my commitment to living life, I let the act of documenting it languish. Writing has been more and more difficult since 2022. I'm not sure how to proceed, how to get the words out. I don't know if this is because I need to up my meds, sleep more, actually exercise instead of talking about doing it, drink more water, or just emotionally divest from the idea of creating and just create.
Anyway, Tik Tok was cute and fun but I really need to stop spending so much time on social media. If actually gets ban next week, I'm going to go on a social media fast for February. I think creating, reading books, and seeing people in real life will help me more than spending time with strangers in my phone.

This is my ex-roommate and I. She had a much more negative outlook on life than me. If all the rules are all made up, why should they stop you from living the life you want?
I miss my girlfriend.
She's not dead, she just has Covid which means I can't see her face to face for another week or so.
Covid is a whole ho.
I break my own heart every time I leave her house.
How did this happen? And so quickly?
Maybe it is infatuation. But it feels so much more real than that. Like how the foundation of a house is unseen but you know it is there.
I could see us building a life together.

so here is what NOT to do if you’re a loyal fan of adobe who has the cash to shell out for a newer and shittier version of the product you already paid for.
1) DON’T use your search bar to find and open the Run app
2) DON’T type in services.msc
3) DON’T find Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Services and right-click to get a dropdown menu, and don’t select ‘properties’
4) if you happen to click properties, DON’T use the startup type dropdown to locate the option to disable the program. be sure you DON’T click apply to finalize that change.
5) DO NOT do the same thing in order to also disable Adobe Genuine Software Monitor
if you do all of these things, this WILL disable adobe’s ability to monitor the software, and you will be forced to continue using the same older software that you already paid for instead of having to sign up for a newer, shittier version and pay more for it. so if you have lots of cash to spare and are cool with putting it the pockets of racketeering capitalists, definitely don’t do any of these things.
however, you SHOULD reblog this to spread the word, as we certainly want to make sure lots of people know what NOT to do :)

I want someone to send nudes to. Someone who will make charmingly crude jokes about my naked body and flirts with me. Someone who talks about touching me as an act of worship. Someone I could cuddle with and it doesn't lead to sex, just a deeper sense of intimacy. Our hands touching each other's bodies in a slow delicious lesson that leads us to learning each other more.
Is that what being in love looks like? This ache in my chest for these missing moments tells me these are acts of love. A build up of small receipts that show when we spent our most precious possession, time, on each other.

Something else I missed out on by being a Black woman. It wouldn't feel so bad if I just believed the lies they've fed me my whole life. But the lies didn't sustain me and when I found real sustenance, all I could think about were the years I spent straving.

I took some advice from a co-worker and download a lesbian dating app. I met someone the first day I installed it and we talked pretty non-stop for a few days. Then we met for a drink and immediately hit it off. Our conversation was a delightful meandering of topics that went around in circles. Our third date we cooked wine braised beef with mushrooms and a cucumber salad. We drank too much wine and watched Beyonce until 4am.
Today I told my homies I have a girlfriend.

Being abused at home, bullied at school and lost in the world, the library and all the books I could escape to the most amazing worlds, kept me alive!
I would walk to the library, and spend all day, from 10 am to 9 pm reading there!! I got special awards for how many books I read, I wrote little blurbs on why i loved the books (probably why I love to BETA and do ARCs)

As a 50 year old woman, the library offers me so much. Digital art pads to borrow, 3D printing, book clubs that are face to face (yeah, the introvert likes face to face because a moderator will stomp on anyone getting snarky)
New books in LARGE PRINT! I’m visually challenged and as much as I love my kindle, The feel of a real book in my hands will always be a beloved feeling!
Our library also has quarterly books sales of almost free books!! For 5$USD we get in a day early and can buy as many as we want. Anyone else has to wait and there is a limit for the first 2 days.
Also many, many libraries have inter library loan(it may be called something different). This means if they don’t have the item you want, they can get it for you. This may include photocopy/pdf of articles. This can also include along with books and DVDs, microfilm/fiche which is also a huge resource. Check around for libraries that are listed as depositories if you want to look at government documents.
Remember that many colleges and universities have open stacks for the public. You will likely have to pay a membership fee but you will get to stuff.

The library was one of my favorite places to go as a kid and I still live to go and just. Sit and read. Or do homework. The university I’m at has a massive 8-story one I love to just wonder around in~ Great places
Libraries are amazing places, we need to protect them to ensure their continued existence.
A memory just faded into my consciousness. I was at dinner with my cousin Kess last week. I usually only see Kess at Christmas as she lives in London. We were talking about my move to Germany and I mentioned being an immigrant. She told me not to use that word and said that I was an expat.
I told her I was immigrating to a another country thus an immigrant. She was emphatic that I wasn't an immigrant because 'those were just people who moved some where expecting to be taken care of". I was a bit shocked to hear a Black woman say that but then I remembered Kess and I aren't the same kinda Black. So much of her life experience is trying to make people forget she's different, so much of mine is demanding you never forget it.
Crying About Being Alone. Again.
While I’ve known this whole time moving to another country would mean starting over, It just hit me. I’ll be friendless again and I’d forgotten how much that hurts. Not having a social circle is a particular kind of heartbreak I believe everyone is familiar with but no one talks about. Having gone through that once in life was hard enough but I guess it’s something I get to experience again. Yay for me I guess.
Of course I won’t be completely friendless. I text and video chat my friends with some regularity, but meeting up for happy hour or just getting together to watch a movie or YouTube won’t be a comforting activity anymore. It’ll just be a thing I do alone.
And I always seem to be the one who is alone.
What makes me so easy to leave?
