I’ve discovered Devil May Cry few days ago, I must say I like it.

So interesting stuff happened over the weekend. I found out that Aaron Carter had been using my Cosmic Lion art on his website, as tour promotional content and possibly other merch through a post which said that he had rendered said artwork. He got called out and then he said then he infact purchased this artwork. Then he went on to say his assistant did, and then said its trash and that it deserves to go in the trash. Regardless, I never sold him any of my work. Neither him or his team ever asked permission for any of my work, nor did they give any credit. These celebrities think that they can rip off artwork that artists spend time and energy creating and not face any consequences. Hes still using this artwork on his website and tour promotional content despite the backlash on twitter and instagram. Tumblr family, help me get this out to as big an audience as possible!

The internet could change next week, and not in a good way

You may have heard about the efforts in Europe to reform copyright law. The debate has been ongoing in the European Parliament for months. If approved next week, these new regulations would require us to automatically filter and block content that you upload without meaningful consideration of your right to free expression. 

We respect the copyrights and trademarks of others, and we take all reports seriously to ensure that your creative expression is protected. We make this clear in our Community Guidelines. There’s already a legal framework that works and is fair: Today we take down posts and media that contain allegedly infringing content when we receive a valid DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown request. We also provide clear-cut ways for people to fight back if they believe their removed content was not a true violation. These instances are monitored and reported and live in our biannual transparency report. 

The suggestion to use automated filters for issues of copyright is short-sighted at best and harmful at worst. Automated filters are unable to determine whether a use should be considered “fair use” under the law and are unable to determine whether a use is authorized by a license agreement. They are unable to distinguish legitimate parody, satire, or even your own personal pictures that could be matched with similar photographs that have been protected by someone else. We don’t believe that technology should replace human judgment. Tumblr is and always has been a place for creative expression, and these new regulations would only make it harder for you to express yourself with the freedom and clarity you do so now.

And if we’re getting all our content blocked? 

You might lose some of your favourite followers/mutuals.

You might not get to read the rest of that fic you’re dying to read - simply because the writer lives in the wrong country.

Been a while since I posted, life has sent me many lemons. Still trying to process them, but uni is starting soon. This is my last year, I want to focus on it. And then I'll be free to go wherever I want (especially far away from my parents!). Anyway, I've made two friends this past year, and I'm happy to know them. I'm just trying to stay positive, and to enjoy the little things.

Okay, Tumblr, this is a very long shot, but I gotta try.  

Tonight I picked up a (probably) three-week-old feral kitten.  It’s been under a bush for at least twenty-four hours, and I haven’t seen a mom hanging around.  The bush is less than fifty feet from a major highway, and there are cars and careless kids all over the place.  It probably wouldn’t make it as far as the highway, but I was terrified that one of the kids would grab it and maul it to death.  They’d already spotted it, and one kept reaching into the bush to try to get it.  

It’s a little orange tabby, quite thin but already purring when I pet it.  I’ve given it a makeshift meal and a soft place to curl up, but my other two cats are not at all pleased.  

Tomorrow I will have to surrender this mite to Animal Control.  I live alone and I don’t have the skills or time to raise this baby, but I couldn’t bear to leave it to take its chances.  Even humane euthanasia is better than starvation or being squashed by a car tire.  

Is there anyone in the MD-DC-VA area willing to take on this poor critter?  Obviously, preferably someone experienced in handling small kittens!  I will have access to a car tomorrow and can drop it off if you’re not too far away.

Fucking tired of this world. I should just stay alone where no one can fucking try to discuss my choices. This is my life. I can do whatever I want and I don’t fucking care if you are okay or not. what she means: for fourteen years now, hayden christensen has gotten so much hate for playing anakin, when, realistically, he did such a good job. hayden not only acted anakin skywalker as the perfect angst-ridden, overeager, self-destructive-for-the-sake-of-trying-to-save-something-much-more-important person that anakin was, but he really Got the character. coupled with cheesy lines, a fucking greenscreen in EVERY SCENE HE HAD TO ACT IN, and direction that kept telling him to pull back when he could have been playing anakin at full capacity, i think that his portrayal of anakin was spot on. hayden spent so much of the movies shaking and vibrating and fucking TREMBLING with pent up anger and frustration and rage and passion and love, simmering constantly with the war inside of anakin to save padmé; save the one person in his life that he loved more than ANYTHING. even while pulling back as much as george lucas directed him to, you can clearly see the way that anakin was being torn apart from the very beginning of attack of the clones, while juxtaposing that by acting like a whiny angsty teenager, who wanted to be viewed as great as he thought he was on the road to becoming. you could clearly see his grapple with power coming out through not only foreshadowing (which attack of the clones did a stellar job with displaying), but in hayden's acting of anakin. even in lighter scenes with padmé, you can see some of that anger and passion seeping and slipping through. you could see glimpses and fragments of the person anakin was turning into in spite of everything he did to try and stop his worst nightmares from coming true. hayden showed the essence of who anakin was as a man, as the monster he turned into (in a horribly, disastrously misguided attempt to save the woman that was his whole world). hayden christensen played anakin skywalker the best he fucking could under the shitty circumstances he was given and i will defend him until i die and then beyond the grave

My english is probably awful and maybe that's why my grades are that terrible.
