Guys
There’s a hashtag on Instagram called #ddlgpride Why. Why the fuck do you need pride, being kinky isn’t anything to celebrate
What’s wrong with celebrating sexual freedom and expression
It’s like having the hashtag “white pride” or “straight pride”. You can be okay with your identity and the things you do but associating it with pride implies there’s oppression, and like with white and straight people, there’s no oppression
I mean *gestures wildly*
@iamnotalittl3
“… pride implies theres oppression…” um… only in your head dude.
N you know white people are/have been oppressed, right?
Instead of turning it into a race thing let’s go back to the point: Cgl is a kink, which is sexual, sex is a normal activity for some people, there’s no need to have pride about it. It isn’t an accomplishment either. It’s just something you want/do. That’s like saying “I’m proud of going to sleep” because you’re tired. It makes no sense. Some things take effort if you want to do them, like studying or getting promoted at a job. Those things you can be proud of because they actually take effort. Sure a relationship takes effort but there’s really no need to be proud of the dynamic if you’re just doing something you both like. It’s like being proud for going on a date because you both feel like it
@laceylilshit this is why ddlg pride is nonsense
I disagree. People are targeted, harassed, bullied for having their kinks. People have lost their jobs because people break the law to get proof of people in kink clubs which have then been aired on television to try and slander because apparently having a kink means you cant make good decisions. People are outed and harassed.
And the whole “dont need to be proud of something you both enjoy” completley contradicts your previous statement.
And ya know what, who are you to tell people what to be proud of? Why cant I be proud of it?
I’m proud of my writing because I enjoy being creative. But it makes no sense to be proud of watching YouTube videos because I enjoy it. Are you getting it through your thick skull????
But why cant you be proud of it?
Because it takes no effort to click on a video and watch it???? Some enjoyable activities don’t involve pride? Are you proud of selecting a tv show to watch? No, of course not, that’s stupid
I mean fandoms? People have random pride?
I don’t understand that. It’s kinda stupid unless you’re proud of the community your fandom has because of how they act towards each other. I’m not proud of my interests, they’re just things I like. Nothing less nothing more
And that’s fine. You don’t have to.
But why do you feel the need to hate on people who do have pride? How does it affect you really? Why does it bother you so much that people take pride in what they do?
It makes us happy why are you trying to stop that
I find it funny that they intentionally look at Ddlg stuff just to piss and moan over it… just don’t look at it? Avoiding stuff you hate surprisingly won’t kill you.
It was a suggested tag when I was looking at the anti ddlg tag. And I could say the same, since the only hashtags I used on this post are anti ddlg tags, and yet a cgl person still found this
But my point still stands…
Because you will still expose yourself to Ddlg stuff because other antis will share it to bitch over it 🙄
It’s not that hard to avoid shit you don’t like. But instead ya’ll rather bully and harass other people for shit that doesn’t affect you or doesn’t really matter. It’s a pretty sad way to live life tbh.
We’re simply expressing our opinions about the content. We’re allowed to disagree with a post and explain why. Most of the time we’re not harassing anyone. If people tag things incorrectly we ask them to get their kink stuff out of sfw tags. That’s about it.
To some people like CSA survivors accidentally coming across content related to cgl can be triggering, so it does affect them. It affects minors who see the pink cutesy aesthetic and want to become part of the ddlg community despite that they’re underage. If things are tagged correctly we won’t have a problem but there are people who still don’t do that.

I can’t control how you feel. I’m just stating my opinion that I think there’s nothing to be proud about. You just happened to find my year-old post and take offense to it.
By the way I only found two articles about kinksters and being fired from their jobs, one from 2014. It’s not as rampant of a problem as you make it seem. Besides, bosses aren’t supposed to discriminate against their employees for their beliefs or practices.
Honestly I never wanted to imply it was rampant. It is enough of an issue that our clubs take measures against it. And sure bosses arent supposed to but it happens.
Honestly I’m trying to figure out how I even came across this post and I’m really not sure. And I didn’t want to start this whole drawn out thing. I just thought adding a different perspective might be interesting
@iamnotalittl3 Well that’s all great. You’re wrong, but that’s not what I was questioning.
Again, “you can be okay with your identity and the things you do but associating it with pride implies theres oppression”?? Having pride means theres oppression? So… no ones “allowed” to have… pride… in anything? Or it’s okay only if their “oppressed”?
You know how completely insane that is, right?
Explain to me why I’m wrong

Stop putting words in my mouth. You can be proud of something if you’re oppressed or if it requires effort. I’m proud of my creative writing because it takes effort. Being a kinkster and saying you’re proud of it is like saying you’re proud of liking coffee: it’s stupid. You just prefer something else than someone else does. It’s a preference. Everyone has different preferences. It doesn’t matter, it doesn’t make you special. I like eating pepperoni and mustard sandwiches. It’s different. I’m not proud of it. It’s a simple preference.
If you read my other posts on this thread, maybe you wouldn’t have to ask this question. I clearly stated the answers to them in this entire thread.
When I first saw the post about pride I automatically thought of lgbt pride and thought they were comparing it to that. I made this post a year ago. Calm down and actually read the recent thread.

please stop “tawking liek dis” it’s incredibly insulting to those with speech/mental disorders thanks
DD/LG PPL: There’s nothing wrong with our kink. And it’s not pedophila.
The rest of Tumblr: You sexualize kids/kid like things/kid traits, you use autistic traits in your kink, you yell at minors when they ask you not to interact with their blog/post, your using ACTUAL GROOMING TECHNIQUES IN YOUR KINK, minors have been lured in by pedophiles by this kink, you make CSA survivors trauma come back, you make adults feel bad for liking kid like things, I could go on and add more but I’m not.
DD/LG PPL: OH SHUT UP YOU ANTI1!1!
Got myself involved in cgl discourse for the first time in forever, once I said the last thing she didn’t reply to me lol
“hey jam what do you mean by fujoshi who fetishize mlm relationships??”
this. I mean this video
Im gonna puke
same tbh
do you ever just wanna kick someone in the face the moment they open their mouth
YES YOU SHOULD FEEL GUILTY
I just…have no words. I was gonna make a post about my experiences with yaoi, and I started working on it, but I have a French paper to write so maybe I’ll work on it later.
Bottom line: my experiences with yaoi are vastly different than this person’s. My experience as a yaoi fan was dark, scary, obsessive.
EDIT: She also uses “yaoi” to describe any mlm anime relationship, which is not the actual definition. Yaoi is a genre with its own tropes and cliches. A genre, a very problematic genre, but still a genre.
Okay, I’m gonna be honest here, I have no idea why y’all are so enraged that Aki calls herself a fujoshi and enjoys the yaoi genre and those kinds of relationships. Like, since when was that wrong??? I would think tumblr would be all over that kinda shit, but apparently not?? I don’t see why she should feel guilty over it if she genuinely enjoys it and isn’t harming anyone by doing so.
A question for the last person, too: how was your experience dark, scary, and obsessive? Do you mean just the fans and such were terrifying for you when you first got into that scene, or were you introduced to some crazy stuff? I found out about yaoi and those kinds of things early on and I can’t say that I ever found anything to be dark or scary.
I honestly don’t expect anyone to answer me or even really read this, but these are genuine questions and I’m honestly confused. If any of you who agree with this post would be kind enough to explain, I’m all ears.
hi there! I’m the op so I thought I might explain it.
there’s a few reasons why the word “fujoshi” means “dirty girl” in japanese.
I used to call myself a fujoshi and I’ve come to realise that yaoi and fujoshi are harming real people. yaoi is a really bad genre. it is honestly a horrible, horrible genre that harms real people.
yaoi often excuses rape or makes it seem romantic. you know junjou romantica? sekaiichi hatsukoi? big offenders with multiple rape/non-con scenes, but hugely popular in japan and all over the world. every single yaoi anime (and I know, because as a former fujoshi, I’ve seen them all) encourages rape or abuse in one way or another. every single one implies that rape victims aren’t being raped because they’re aroused or “actually want it”. that’s not even counting the manga- there’s countless. yaoi otome games like dramatical murder? rape/non-con scenes everywhere, from what I hear. super lovers even encourages legitimate pedophilia and ebephophilia. so yeah, gross content that makes people think that rape and abuse are ok, which in turn makes life hard for rape and abuse victims.
secondly, yaoi and fujoshi make life harder for men who like men (or for short, mlm) both in japan and abroad. gay men are not viewed favourably in japan. yaoi does nothing to help this. the seme/uke stereotype makes it seem like one man always has to play the feminine role in a romantic or sexual relationship. furthermore, it makes gay men look like predators who prey on unsuspecting straight boys. very few characters in yaoi actually self identify as gay and there is next to no discussion of the realities of life for men who like men in japan. not to mention that bisexuality is almost never a thing that is explicitly mentioned in yaoi manga/anime. so yeah, we basically don’t exist in the genre either. yaoi really promotes bad stereotypes that have been used to discriminate against mlm for years.
my mlm friends are all incredibly uncomfortable when girls ship them together or call them “yaoi couples”- and this actually happens way too often. look at the comments on aki’s videos- there are tons of girls there who do exactly this.
lastly, mlm relationships aren’t necessarily sexual and certainly aren’t just something for women to jerk off to. it’s like lesbian/bisexual porn that straight men watch. I like girls and I hate that shit. I’m not a fetish for anyone to get off to- I’m a real person, not a porn genre. I feel like an object. and that’s exactly how many mlm say they feel when they interact with fujoshi.
this is my boyfriend. they’re mlm and absolutely hate yaoi. and here are some other opinions of yaoi and fujoshi, from actual men who like men who I talked to about it:
and that’s all there is to say on the matter. I really hope aki realises that yaoi and fujoshi harm real people, because although she’s not a bad person, she’s certainly promoting bad things.
