The results honestly couldn't be anymore dead on. Lucanis was such a new experience for Demitrix, that it scared him. Demitrix did a lot of denying and self-dehumanization to try and convince Lucanis not to care about him in anyway. He instead found himself falling in love with the romance and care that Lucanis offered. Like stepping into a nice hot bath after a really cold snowy day. He never really knew comfort, just numbness.

That was until he met Lucanis.

Alright - I have to know - which voice did you all pick for your Rook(s)? I know the answer for some of you - either from posted videos or from folks mentioning the voice actor etc, but for many of you? It remains a mystery! So when reading about your Rooks' misadventures or admiring their pretty faces, what voice should I be imagining???

For Nöa, I always use Bryony Corrigan’s voice.

I adore Bryony's voice and I think she gave a standout performance, the sass and deadpan in some of her deliveries really helps me feel like the character is mine, you know?

However, my actual voice claim for her has been and always will be Alejandra Reynoso's portrayal of Sypha Belnades in Netflix's Castlevania, though pitched down a bit (video below for reference.)

For Demitrix De Riva, I wanted to keep a certain type of androgynous energy to them since they do carry a lot of that energy. (A lot of people mistake them for a cis girl and in Demitrix's eyes, they don't care what people mistake them as. "Gender is a very constricting thing." Is one of my favorite quotes that they say. They just tend to leqn more toward masculine pronouns.) So I picked Alex Byrg with the Medium Pitch for them.

Hawaiʻi is currently in the midst of a natural disaster if you didnt know

Apparently there isn’t much news coverage of this outside of the islands

Towns are flooded, homes destroyed and collapsed, roads collapsed, lives at risk, gas leaks from the flood damage

Haleiwa and Waialua are currently evacuated because the 120 year old dam is at risk of bursting

Mind you that damn is owned by Dole. Theyve known about it needing to be fixed for years and years and years. Despite having more than enough money they refuse

The state has been trying to buy it out from them for years so they can fix it, but the sale hasn’t gone through

Keep in mind that the Dole family were the ones who illegally imprisoned Queen Liliuʻokalani and illegally overthrew the monarchy.

If I see another goddamn person say how sad this is for the tourists whose “trips were ruined” and compare a messed up vacation to people losing their homes, belongings, and livelihoods, I’m going to lose my mind

I am so lucky that my family or friend’s are safe and the few whose houses flooded didnt have it too bad, but so so so many were not as fortunate

If you haven’t heard anything about this until now, I suggest looking into it
