Not of this world be,
But within it I am.
Life’s challenges displayed,
Enveloped in a play.
To magnify ones face,
Proving you’re the main.
Walk away I am,
For glory is vain.

Not of this world be,
But within it I am.
Life’s challenges displayed,
Enveloped in a play.
To magnify ones face,
Proving you’re the main.
Walk away I am,
For glory is vain.
Disillusioned,
Dumb founded by the waste that has consumed him
Only to realize his self destructive habits strangled his debilitating consciousness
Why has he allowed it to come this far?
What fear has caused him to push away all those dear to him
No one can know what goes on inside
For it us up to him to open that door
No one is going to come save you
This should challenge you to become stronger and not weaker
For it is in times of pain and struggle that we conquer
Be of good courage
Use the weapons you have amassed over the years
Listen to your soul speak through
For the mind and it’s pleasure seek elsewhere to satisfy its desires
Be wise and listen
Love,
That feeling undefinable,
So found you’re lost,
Inexplicably boyant,
Light as a feather,
Enamored in euphoria,
Soul saved.
“One in whom all desires flow by [but who remains undisturbed by them] like the ocean into which the rivers flow but which remains undisturbed, attains peace” (II. 70) -Gita
Seed
By the wayside,
Scorched,
On rocky ground,
No roots,
Among thorns,
Choked,
On fertile soil,
Bears fruit.
Fear
Inhibited,
Stoned to the ground,
Crippled by the disease,
Forgotten what it feels to be free.
What is it?
The cause of their demise?
It is but an enemy,
A self imposed illusion,
Created from within.
Nothing can stop it,
It seems.
A hero must come forth,
A hero from within..
Intuition
It is our strongest weapon,
When combating forces unseen,
The energies projected,
Captured and analyzed,
By this supreme intelligence.
Nothing to do with logic,
Or acquired knowledge,
Intuition is special.
It identifies with our nature,
And does not project ego.
Lean on your intuition,
And you will see plain as day.
Thoughts
Thoughts run rampant,
Wild and uncontained,
Like a wildfire set ablaze.
Cast a spell,
And they will go away.
The magic lies in yourself,
The truest test.
Never undermine the power,
That lies within,
For you are powerful,
As God some might say.
The ruler of your house,
You can do whatever you say,
For it is you,
Not them,
That has a say.
Home
The seat of presence,
Is where I reside.
In my abode,
I find my solace.
Peace undefinable,
Uninterrupted tranquility,
The voice and cares dissipate.
All that’s left is clear space,
The consciousness that pervades all,
Again obtained,
The feeling of bliss.
For heaven and hell are found here,
A matter of choice of will,
Is the only obstacle.
If only all knew,
As I look around,
Souls everywhere,
All they want is home.

Self-Talk pt.1
In my own journey I’ve noticed that when I try to shut off my thoughts through meditation tenchinques or through yoga it’s quite difficult. Not withstanding the rare times in deep meditative states I’ve reached, I would say it’s nearly impossible to be in this meditative state all the time-unless you’re a monk living among monks. For the rest of us who live on earth and are engaging in the economical and professional affairs we face day to day I’d suggest another approach. SELF-TALK or prayer. I’ve found that when I engage in this approach I become more organized, I find more motivation and I can overcome any ill feelings I may be experiencing. The power of self-talk or prayer, is truly remarkable.
Whenever I feel stressed or anxious I tell myself, “breathe, relax, believe in yourself, you’re a leader, you’re a conqueror, god is with you, you’re not alone.” Ofcourse this could fall in the realm of affirmations, prayer or any other religious or spiritual application but on a down to earth level it is none other than positive SELF-TALK.
When we engage in this powerful practice we not only combat any negative thoughts and emotions but we override and change our brain chemistry. We then are slowly transforming the way we think, feel and interact with this world. This truly remarkable ability has the power to change the lives for the GOOD.
“Self-discipline is the basis for success”
Sitting here, pondering.
Noticing what goes on around me,
I cannot help but wonder,
How did we get here?
Strange isn’t it?
This experience that we call life.
I wonder why it exist?
Is it but a game?
A simulation of the matrix?
Or is it more?
Are we here by accident or design?
Design I think.
But could it also be accident?
I just don't know.
I guess we won’t know until we are gone,
When we finally close our eyes and see darkness.
Or will there be light?
In the grand scheme of it all does it really affect us all that much?
We are stuck living a human life on earth,
This earth that is being putrefied to the ground,
By us.
I guess we can look at it positively,
Perhaps we can imagine ourselves in Hawaii.
(Lucky Hawaiians) >.< ,
But even they must get bored.
Maybe we can just try to love everything,
Live with no doubts,
Free,
Careless,
Intrigued by this experience we call life,
And explore it’s many sites;
The heart,
The body,
And the soul.
Smoking at night with Her
In her presence all is still,
Within night’s beauty,
I return home,
To that smooth soothing breath,
High off life,
Sailing atop clouds,
Beholding majestic elegance,
Safe from troubles that capture my soul,
Bliss..
Breathe
Just sit and release,Â
let tension subside,
Breathe into your body,Â
long and smooth,
Its your last breath,
this one right here,Â
Right now,
the next isn’t promised,Â
Breathe in,
and,
Breathe out.Â
Don’t you see?
Splendid confusion,
the anomaly that it is,
to be here,
but not really,Â
to be lost in that headspace,Â
missing out,
but not really,Â
choosing to tap out,Â
drowning in suffering,
don’t you see?
Power is wield within,Â
to release and let go,
submerge into the frequency.
I AM
This powerful statement of declaration, of strength, if analyzed, can be profoundly impactful to one’s life. For example, in meditation practices we use mantras or affirmations with the “I AM” to fortify our Root Chakra and allow for Self-Love & Self-Healing. In stumbling upon this concept, which has helped me overcome hurdles in my own life, I would like to write about it a bit. Feel free to leave me comments or thoughts on my perspective.Â
Now, let’s dive into the significance of this philosophical statement.Â
If you were to visit the internet and search “I AM” you might run across two forms of definition. Let’s use these,
“
“God, seen as self-sufficient and self-existent.
(colloquial, frequently with great) A self-centred, arrogant person.”
“
Firstly, looking at the first definition, with it’s inclusion of “God”, reflecting, don’t we possess the ability to be GOD-like? Let me expand on this.
Look at the distinguishing factors between ourselves and other creatures that inhabit and share this planet with us. We stand out as highly intelligent primarily due to the fact that we can communicate through the use of language and our ability to create with our hands & (mind). When we think of GOD, don’t we think about this powerful being that we associate the “I” principle with? I as in I AM GOD, I AM MAN. I AM THAT. Or as Renee descartes puts it,
Cogito, ergo sum ~ I think, therefore I AM.
When we look around at other creatures we feel distinctly different from other beings on this planet in terms of our intelligence, right? We can’t exactly relate with them as much as we do with this imaginary concept of GOD. Right? So, if we were to dive into the philosophical and psychological realms we quickly learn that this “I” concept is really derived from our own inner experience. This collective idea that we are all individual yet possess this quality of mind (the ego and the soul) that we all share shapes our image of GOD. If we most closely relate with GOD because we feel HE/SHE is an “I” with a mind that fathoms the infinite than are we not GOD-like?Â
I know it can be quite arrogant, as the second definition asserts, to even think or speak like that. I mean, I am suggesting that we might ourselves be that god we are looking for. Right?Â
Let’s look at it from a psychological point of view, without religion or spiritually. When we need to overcome something in our lives, don’t we possess the ability to do it all in of ourselves? Don’t we ultimately have to open the door that unlocks our potential. Of course, we can seek out help from others, and even something external to ourselves(faith) but ultimately we are the operators of this vehicle. We ultimately are the only one’s that control every aspecto of OUR-SELVES.Â
I leave you with that, meditate on it. Leave me your thoughts.
