israel is now demanding that the al quds hospital is evacuated. the hospital currently holds 400 patients and 12,000 people seeking shelter. there is almost nowhere to go. israel has been conducting air strikes near the hospital for the last few days and this demand to evacuate is their ‘warning’ before they bomb it.

the patients cannot leave, plenty of them are in critical condition. healthcare is being targeted by israel and this is one of the last standing hospitals.

this is horrifying.

please share! following this update where i posted that israel has denied sending evacuation orders, quds news network is now reporting that al quds hospital has been ordered to evacuate twice today (october 22). this is their fourth ‘warning’, initial warnings were sent just days before al ahli hospital was struck.

i cannot stress enough that there is nowhere to evacuate to. there is no way the hospital can be evacuated. not with thousands of displaced palestinians, not with hundreds of patients and the numbers rising everyday.

it is not possible. there is no logical reason to evacuate and bomb a hospital. we are not witnessing ‘retaliation against terrorism’, we are witnessing genocide. israel will shamelessly bomb innocent people and the world will say ‘they were warned, they had 14 days to evacuate.’

while y’all are advocating for a ceasefire - and you should be - we need to keep centered that while a ceasefire is necessary to stop the current genocidal attacks and get the food, water and medical supplies that palestinians urgently need to them as soon as possible, we CANNOT stop there.

a ceasefire is an important step that MUST happen but we cannot let it be the end. the world cannot turn away. because as soon as we do, israel will restart their genocidal campaign. a ceasefire is step one, but we MUST end the occupation. palestine MUST be free. there is no other option.

so please do continue to advocate for ceasefire, to protest and call your representatives demanding that they support it, but if it happens, do not become complacent. we cannot stop until the occupation ends and palestine is free.
