Just noticed that they’ve deleted my avatar and header page. Interesting. It’s like they’re trying to help me keep my tumblr alive. But honestly, with these rules what would be the point? I already have a safe tumblr.

Then again, I also notice that they are hiding my posts, not deleting them. So, with any luck I will end up with a personal archive of most of my collection.

Web page for this blog isn’t working. That makes sense if they want to open up Tumblr webpages for safe content.

Web page is still working from my safe blog and I can see it from here, but I can’t see the web page for this blog from the safe blog.

I can still see the unsafe blogs I follow from within the dashboard. They just prompt me to continue. Some of the content is blocked though. Looks like I won’t be able to see other people’s “hidden” content.

It is still possible to follow other explicit blogs. Go to Account, Following, and enter the URL of the blog you want in the box at the top.

Backing up your Tumblr

1. Click on Account, Settings, Blogs Username. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

2. Click “export username”. This will start a backup which can take a day or two. You don’t have to stay logged in for it.

3. When the backup is ready you will see “download backup” with a date. Clicking it will begin the download to a zip file on your computer’s download folder. It’s big and takes awhile to finish (like an hour maybe).

4. I used 7-zip to extract - windows extractor doesn’t recognize the format.

5. The resulting extract has two folders and one xml file.

- Media: full size image files - numbered, sorted from oldest to newest. - Posts.zip: These are the html files. They are numbered same as the image files and are useful for reviewing text and tags. The image files in them are reduced size. - Messages.xml: Content of any messages that are still active.

Good news! Just saw that Humblr has changed it’s terms of service slightly to prohibit certain content, so I asked the admin specifically to take a look at what I’ve been posting to see if it was a problem for them. And they said it is fine! I know this could change over time - but it’s encouraging right now.

OK, folks. It appears Tumblr is shutting down all the NSFW content on this site at 17th of December. That means that I’ll be no longer posting here, and that is indeed a shitty thing. I want to thank all of you 6400+ people who have followed me here for several years, it has been an amazing ride.

But alas, do not despair! I will be creating and uploading smut in the future as well, it just can’t happen here anymore. Right now there is two places I should recommend for you to see my art and receive information about other updates as well!

Tumblr was a good place for me, and probably my best place for gaining followers, but those days are now over, and it really saddens me. I hope I see all of you at least in my DA-page. Stay strong, and enjoy the Christmas time!
