Based on my headcanon on how the turtles would react to stress because IM A FUCKING SUCKER FOR THIS KINDA COMFORT COMICS OKAY!!! SUE ME!!!

To recap the stress response headcanon briefly:

Donnie stress stims (scratching his arm, they give him fidget toys so he doesnt hurt himself)

Mikey hides in his shell, away from harm. You know, turtle istincts and all haha

Leo gets nausea and gags a lot (any strong emotion does that really)

Raph has a delayed panic/anxiety spike later on, because he wants to always make sure his brothers are safe first. THEN he'll crumble

Okay, but the fact that Archie CHOSE his cat form says so much about his character. Like, he portrays himself as this haughty, “too good for this nonsense, I’m surrounded by idiots” kind of guy when we’re first introduced to him, but through his interactions with Douxie we realize that his main goal in life is to comfort and protect his wizard. So he chose a soft, nonthreatening form that Douxie would be comfortable getting close to. Archie gave up power and prestige and the fear of others and whatever else comes with being a big scary-looking dragon because all he ever wanted was to love and support another and I am not okay, thank you, I am going to cry now.
