Okay from what I personally gathered this is really hilarious on multiple levels

What Grace appears to be teaching the 6th graders is physics, which in California is supposed to be taught as an 8th grade subject, so he is teaching these kids the completely wrong stuff

In the book Grace, based on the questions he asks during lighting round, he is teaching them about Earth, “Who can tell me the radius of Earth?” “What wave do you feel first during an earthquake?” “What are the three basic kinds of rocks?”

Only the thing is in the book Grace teaches 8th graders, Earth science is what is supposed to be taught to 6th graders

So basically book Grace and movie Grace are teaching their kids the exact opposite stuff that they are supposed to be teaching

But what I find to be the real kicker is that 7th grade is taught biology and the don't have the literal man with a DOCTORATE in molecular biology teaching the 7th graders when he is one of the best possible people to teach them
