Dear 2015

Dear 2015,

You have been the best year of my life. Last year on this day, I was a sandwich maker at my university cafeteria with subpar grades with not even half a month’s worth of rent to my name.

Within a year I have tripled my pay, becoming one of the youngest to be working in cybersecurity in a very large company, ramped up my grades, with enough to purchase a very nice vehicle (if I could drive), been able to hire my own friends for work, and become very comfortable with a woman in my life.

We had a crazy run. Half the time I was derping around and confused. But, I ran into fortunate events with fortunate outcomes. I have grown so much and been able to learn more about myself.

Goodbye 2015.

P.S. I hope 2016 is better than you. Sometimes you were a piece of shit.

Staying in Seattle for summer

I got a software developer internship as a freshman. Nearly impossible because so many older students are more skilled. They offered a permanent position if my work is good as a junior developer. 

Best part, I'm getting mentored by a Senior developer, meaning I'm getting trained more than my competition at my school. Gonna crush these bitches.
