I was rewatching episode 3 and i noticed that

During the train scene, when they think they’re all going to die, Kaz, who was sitting near the firebox

moves and goes to sit in front of Inej 

and then he keeps looking at her 

he thinks he’s about to die and his first thought is getting close to Inej and looking at her during his last moments

and she stares back at him

even when the last volcra was about to tear down the roof, he was still looking at her 

even when they knew they made it out alive, they were still looking at each other

then everything went back to normal.
