Antônio Fagundes, recitando Poema “Pingentes de Citrino”, de Adélia Prado, para suavizar nosso domingo de ternura, poesia e carinho
Antônio Fagundes breathing life into Adelia Prado’s poem "Citrine Pendants," softening our Sunday with a touch of tenderness, poetry, and grace.
"So lyrical is my life, scarce can I trace where my sorrows lay. After decades of bridled yearning, I pierced my ears. Minute as grains of rice, modest pendants of subdued gleam render me gentler. Save for my sisters, who likewise render tribute to that very same restraint, scarce a soul took heed. I grew bolder, akin to women I once deemed frivolous yet who were merely more humble."
-By Adelia Prado. -Wishing yoy a blessed Sunday. -And a wondrous, wondrous, wondrous week to one and all.

Across the thresholds of Brazilian homes, a quiet, enduring art blossoms: the wholesome tending of chives, cilantro, lettuce… A raised bed, a rustic wooden stage, or a name born anew in every corner of Brazil 🇧🇷 What name does it bear in your city!?

O mandacaru, também conhecido como cardeiro e jamacaru, Planta da família das Cactaceae, gênero cactus. Arbustiva, xerófita, nativa do Brasil, disseminada no Semiárido do Nordeste. Mandacaru vem do tupi mãdaka'ru ou iamanaka'ru, que significa «espinhos agrupados danosos».
The mandacaru, hailed in local lore as cardeiro or jamacaru. A child of the Cactaceae family, rooted in the ancient genus of the cactus. A shrub of arid grace, forged by the sun and native to Brazil's sun-baked Northeastern backlands. Its name echoes from the ancient Tupi tongue-madaka'ru or iamanaka'ru-whispering of "harmful thorns entwined."
