"So lyrical is my life, scarce can I trace where my sorrows lay. After decades of bridled yearning, I pierced my ears. Minute as grains of rice, modest pendants of subdued gleam render me gentler. Save for my sisters, who likewise render tribute to that very same restraint, scarce a soul took heed. I grew bolder, akin to women I once deemed frivolous yet who were merely more humble."
