Also I am still alive, I've just been on an art hiatus, trying to avoid looking at art and also not drawing because the process of drawing has just completely lost all joy for me. Practicing didn't help me improve and just felt like more evidence I suck, and looking at other people's art stopped being fun too. Instead of thinking about the situation and how much I love the character everyone else's art looked like proof they're productive, good at art and capable of improving, while I'm undisciplined, allergic to detail and too mentally weak for art.

So I'm still trying to figure out how I'm gonna get over this because losing art feels... Existentially terrifying for lack of a better word, I built everything around it. Might be kind of a cheesy comparison but this song describes perfectly how I feel not being able to draw. Me not being able to draw and it causing mental pain instead of joy is like a fish forgetting how to swim, or a Vocaloid not being able to sing.

I'm hopefully still going to write, and I might even do toy photography, and I really really wish I could still draw but my brain is just so fucked right now from it for reasons I really don't understand.
