I just wanted to update the design for my sona, but….

I played the novel "Kingdom of Marionettes", but these scenes… I SCREAMED ON THE STREAM OUT OF EMBARRASSMENT… And from fright. And from fright and embarrassment at the same time….

But I liked it, I advise you to play… Thanks to @thepipiuw for this wonderful game, I'm waiting for the sequel... I'll do the fan art later when I get back from my three-day shift...

You've lost your way a bit by deciding to take a closer look around.

Passing between the tents, passing into the darker part of the circus, you notice a lanky figure slowly walking near the tents.

The long steps of the unknown man stop, as if he felt your gaze… crunch...

You feel a chill running down your spine. By taking a step, you finally attract his attention.

Closing your eyes, you shrink, feeling fear tremble in your veins.

However, instead of the expected nightmare, a soft little hand gently touches you, tracing your cheek with thin fingers.

“Cariño, are you okay?“ – A gentle female voice sounded.

When you open your eyes, you see that a tall figure was leaning towards you, his hat partially covered his face, but next to you, literally next to you, a girl with an almost empty look was sitting on his arm.

Her eyes were completely black, but you knew she was looking at you.

And she looked brighter than the silhouette next to her.

A man with abnormally long limbs looks at you without looking away, watching your every reaction, although still the girl attracts more attention than his gloomy nature.

The girl is immediately inspired when she sees how your shoulders have dropped a little. She gently waves her hand at you before saying the following words:

introducing my dol pc, julian! (˶ˆᗜˆ˵) he’s a bit odd, a bit hard to read, and probably autistic. he doesn’t always react the way you’d expect, and he tends to do things in his own way, but if you stick around long enough you’ll grow to tolerate him.

more info under the cut:

summary: julian is someone who built himself into something acceptable after growing up being treated like a problem, so now everything about him is controlled, calculated, and shaped around being useful rather than being real. he comes off as polite, reliable, and easy to trust, but it’s all a performance he maintains to avoid ever being seen as weak or disposable again. underneath that, he’s detached, quietly resentful, and unable to form genuine connections because he sees relationships as conditional and temporary.

his past still leaks through in moments of anger he can’t fully suppress, especially around whitney, who knew him before he changed and constantly pushes at the cracks in his image. their relationship is tense and unresolved, caught between hostility and familiarity, because whitney represents everything julian tried to leave behind while also being one of the only people who actually knows who he was.

Your Perfect Boyfriend!! (Visual Novel)

Genre: Romance/Horror

This one was made for the O2A2 (One of any asset) game jam, so there is only one real sprite, but the way they revealed Alexander as a yandere is pretty cool, even if the game is relatively short.

The story starts with Alexander coming home from work and cooking dinner for the MC. As the food cooks, Alexander talks about his day at the bakery and how one hold up with an old lady lead to a more angry crowd. Alexander seems to plan to move him and the MC out to a different area, as he feels as if the townsfolk are too nosy, and wants the MC to be able to go out more. After finishing the food, Alexander tries to feed the MC only to reveal that her mouth is taped shut. Alexander seems nonchalant about this, and we learn quickly that not only is the MC kept in the basement, but she's also caged as well. The MC begs Alexander to let them go home and that she wonder about her job. Alexander states that the MC never liked their job and that he already put in their weeks notice. The MC asks about their friends and Alexander seems to contemplate on killing them, only stopping if the MC states that she love him. Unfortunately, this isn't enough to sate Alexander, so he goes out to kill them, telling the MC to be a good girl in the meantime.

This game is pretty short but given that there's only one asset they can use I think it does a good job in establishing Alexander as a character. Despite knowing that he was a yandere, its was pretty cool seeing the camera zoom out to show that they're not only in a basement but in a cage as well. The various dialogue that we can choose from the beginning was great in tricking the reader into thinking that this was a normal conversation and in turn lets us look deeper into Alexander's character as a yandere. Like dang the zoomout on the cage was super cool.

Alexander as a yandere is definitely a lot more delusional than he initially seems. It is pretty cool that we get to see his point of view, in a way, how he imagines that the MC is responding to him by asking questions about how his day went. That and even when she begs to let her go, he seems nonchalant about it, like this isn't a big issue, and that things will always return to what they used to be. I do like that he also gaslights the player when she asks what she'll do for her job, basically using her own words back at her, and when she begs him not to kill her friends, he completely disregards it and goes off the kill them. It honestly seems like he's not aware of how terrible his actions are and that he's not even quite there. Like when she spits out the food, he simply states that the foods is too hot. The type of yandere who seems to disregard how bad his actions really are. And I think that's pretty neat.

The game is pretty short, but I think it is a good introduction to Alexander as a yandere. I would love to see another game that introduces him more and talks more about how they all got into this situation in the first place.
