He stared back, figuring that gesture was his sign to go for it...although, he unease still surrounded him - maybe it was the other’s neutral, unmoving expression...but still, the offer was there, and there was no visible reason to decline it based on his superstitions. He bent down slowly, sniffing the food before taking a bite of two pieces - just to test, make sure it really was for him.
