Merlin & Gaius through the years requested by merlins-earmuffs
“Merlin, you are the only thing I care about in all this world. I would give my life for you without a thought.”
My Sherlock Holmes books! There are more but they didn’t fit in the picture.

Do you know what’s sad? The fact that the person Viktor Krum would miss most is the girl he met that year. Like he had no other people that he cared about? Family? Friends? Parents? They got Fleur’s little sister why not someone he cared about? Does this mean that Krum has such a shitty life back home and in Durmstrang that the person he’d miss most is the girl he only just started dating? And if so it’s sad that they break up.
Either he cared deeply enough about Hermione to the level that he would miss her most out of all of his family and friends or he has no one else in his life that he’d miss. Either way it’s heartbreaking.
He probably did have a shitty life. In Bulgaria he was probably just known as a quidditch star and nothing else. Since muggles are known to treat famous people as objects rather than human beings, I assume wizards do the same. Also, as we know, he wasn’t nearly as graceful on the ground as he was on a broomstick. Who knows, maybe he turned to quidditch as an outlet or escape from a shitty home.
When a book fucks you up so hard you have to put it down and take a break bc your emotional threshold has reached its limit
I feel this on a spiritual level.
