So I was talking to one of my buddies the other day and he told me that he thought that the more refined your clothes were the better. I responded telling him, "You're blind, dear fellow. This is sheer delusion." "How did [he] some to such a mad conclusion?" I say, put on your best "blonde wig" and "embroidered hose" and the ribbons and bows that match. The more the merrier.

Not after I found out that she was writing to other men complaining about me and my “unwelcome attentions.” You should not play men so, dear Celimene. Man, I'm still heartbroken from Celimene not even picking one of us with all we went through. To her I was like, "Madam, I'll make you no farewell oration; no, you're not worthy of my indignation" (144). But it's whatever there are other fish in the sea :-/ how are you doing after the whole situation?

Yea, I'm still in shock over the whole thing. I mean if my "saccharine speeches" were all that pester some and I was the "last man on earth for whom [she] could feel any affection" she could have just told me that. I feel used. The decent thing would have been to tell those of us she had no interest in that she didn't like us the way we liked her. But whatever, I'm done with her.

Take that Alceste! I just found this article that talks about how stress can be a good thing for you and is therapeutic . So you have no right to criticize us when we want to let our opinions of others be known. In fact this article even says that gossiping is a stress reliever.

When we meet up again I shall give you the artist information, although I hardly think any painting of you could hold a flame to this fine painting of me.
