y'all, kink positivity is very queer and I think we need a vore pride flag
I’ve never made a pride flag of any kind before so I just kind of winged it. I thought it should have a pretty simple bold color scheme with a lot of contrast. I personally really like symmetry, so I put a lot of types of symmetry into it. I picked 4 colors since that’s my favorite number and a very symmetrical one, and decided the colors themselves should have a symmetry to them. I picked 2 pairs of opposite colors: black and white, and pink and green.
I picked black and white to represent aspec folks since they’re so important in this community and so often get overlooked. it seems like people not into vore tend to assume it’s a strictly sexual kink, but as those of us in the community know that’s simply not true.
pink represents mushy romantic vore and green represents the aro folks in the community.
the colors also each have another, more literal meaning: white is teeth, pink is tongues and other squishy insides, green is acid… and black is “oh jeez, it’s pretty dark in here” :Þ
by one more set of meanings, pink represents safe vore and green represents digestion, and black represents fatal vore and white represents nonfatal (including reformation).
At first I figured I’d stick with the horizontal stripes most pride flags have. I played around with stripe order a little, but two of the colors were always at the top and bottom, with only one neighbor, and that just didn’t fly in my book, so I tried something else:
this was much more pleasing to me, and it was more symmetrical. each color was mirrored across and each color had two neighbors, and I put opposite colors at 90 degree angles to each other.
it also draws the eye in this way… which could possibly be a vore joke… ;)
but something was still missing. everything was too separated, and too blocky. it needed to be fluid and organic, and unified… the colors needed to melt together… so I made one more tweak, and came up with this final product that I think looks awesome.
all the vital pieces of this community, swirling together and supporting each other. I think I designed a pretty nice flag here!
and to top it off, here’s a message to go with it:
so many of us in the vore community have deeply internalized shame about our kink, brought on by needless hate. just as Pride celebrates community, acceptance and self love for LGBTQ+ folks, I think those of us in the vore community who are hurting because we’ve been told something that makes us happy is shameful deserve and need a little Vore Pride ♡
