Mandalore is not at war with itself. Savage and Satine are both dead. Palpatine is torturing Maul. Obi-Wan has to go back to Coruscant, with nothing to show for his indiscretion.
And Anakin's ship is gone-zo. He's not going to be too happy about that.
I'm thinking there's going to be some repercussions for Obi-Wan for this. They Council likes him, yes, but they're not going to let this slide so easily. Especially with everything that's happened bc of him being there.
Satine's death was... very much expected. It was something that you could see coming way back in s2, thinking back on it. There's lots of parallel scenes to when she was first introduced. She was always meant to be a tragic character.
Savage surprised me. I wasn't expecting him to die here. In the later 2 seasons, sure. But here? No. He was this big, scary guy for some time. And all he wanted was for his brother to really acknowledge him as his brother - not just his apprentice. It's genuinely more heartbreaking that Maul only called him his brother at the very end.
Much like Bo-Katan and Satine. There's oodles of parallels to draw between the 2 pairs of siblings.
I'm trying think of how Savage's death will influence Maul, and I don't think it will only just fuel his anger and hatred for Palpatine. It will be something more for him.
Looking at how many episodes are left of this season, I don't think there's going to be any breathing room with the last 4 episodes. I'm surprised at how heavy this season as a whole as been, even what was supposed to be the lighter episodes.
I really don't know what to expect to happen. Something heart-wrenching, I can guess that.
All I know is that I won't be prepared for it.
I'll see everybody back tomorrow for another episode. Until then!
I kinda figured he doesn’t die in this series bc there’s the whole Maul tv show
Hey, no!
I never thought I’d hear him beg
Maul…
Not officially
At least, not yet
Palps, I’d shut it off I were you
No. No. You were the bestest apprentice in the entire galaxy
That’s the first time he’s called Savage brother in… a while
savage
Palpatine is very spry for a man of… 60-something
🎶We’re soaring, flying…🎶
That makes a lot of sense.
I also think a part of me knew that? But I don't know if it was bc of The Mandalorian tv series that I heard about it or if a cosplay friend mentioned it years ago.
And you always will
Honestly? They won’t. There’s too much else going on for them to even attempt to pull something together
I’m not going to be able to do this fight justice. It’s incredibly beautifully animated
